Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

So I started a Celtics Fantasy Draft Association and it's a beast team right now !

I haven't gotten much into the game, but I'm only playing 29 games with 3 game playoff games. 12 Minute quarters All-Start Difficulty.

    Team:
    PG: Michael Conly/ JJ Barea
    SG: Shannon Brown/Kyle Korever
    SF: Matt Barnes/ Devin Ebanks
    PF: Amare Stoudamire
    C: Dirk Nowitzki/Ronny Turiaf

I'm not sure if this is my team, cause this was from the top of my head, but it's pretty close to it.

The Thunder went 23-6 in the regular season, Durant averaged 25.7 points per game, Westbrook averaged 16.9 with 9.8 assists. Nabbed the #1 seed in the Western Conference.

The West looked pretty good as the Nuggets, Lakers, Mavs, Suns, Blazers, Grizzlies, and Jazz rounded out the seeds. In the East, it was a chaotic mess. The Heat got the #1 seed and the Magic got the #2. After that, all hell broke loose as the Raptors had the #3, followed by the Pacers, Nets, Bulls, Cavaliers, and Bucks (EWWW).

The playoffs are a 5-5-5-5 format. I swept the Jazz, knocked out the Mavs 3-1, followed by the Lakers 3-1. I've definitely had my fair share of close games as Game 1 against Utah went into Overtime and I nearly blew it with missed free throws. I closed out the Lakers in Game 4 with Durant and Westbrook, as they both went on a tear to end the game. Durant has been averaging 24 points in the playoffs while Westbrook has stepped up his game from the regular season and is averaging 20 points and 10 assists.

The East...smh. The Heat and Magic advanced past the first round easily, but the Heat lost in 4 games to the Nets, while the Magic got swept by the Raptors (WTF). So yes...your Eastern Conference Finals featured the Nets vs the Raptors, with their rosters featuring essentially the same players as on the default file. The Raptors advanced in 5 games to have the right to face off against the #1 overall seed, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

I havent finished the series yet, but the first two games have been ugly. Won both games at home by 15+ points to go up 2-0 in the series. Hopefully I'll close them out on the road in the next game and win a championship.
Lol.Never seen something like that in my association before.Default Nets and Raptors ahve never been to the play-offs before.

1 season and 20 games into one Wolves association. Flynn won MVP, Wes Johnson ROY and Webster 6th man of the year... but feeling restless... so I am going to start a new association... basically Wolves again, but this time I saved an Isaiah Rider player model from 2kshare and he is going to be in my team... I have started the association to make some roster changes... keeping my core... but traded away Ridnour, Milicic, and Heyward and the Wolves First Round draft pick in '12 to the Clippers (the pick really belongs to them anyway so there's some sense of it being meant to be) for Deandre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe (they offered in trade finder).

I also moved Anthony Tolliver for Marquis Daniels and the Kings 2nd round pick in '12.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Just got to the Easter conference finals in my second year fantasy Milwaukee Bucks association.

I play 5 minutes quarters, 29 game season, and a 3-5-7-7 playoff format (figured if I made a fantasy team, why not basically create a fictional league). Besides it is impossible for me to sim games through my franchise as I feel the need to play every minute, so the only way I could get through multiple seasons is to lessen the playing time.

Anyways I got a 10 man rotation set as:

            PG Jason Kidd
            SG Shannon Brown
            SF Wilson Chandler
            PF Dirk Nowitzki
            C Javale McGee
            1 Patrick Mills
            2 J.J. Redick
            3 Channing Frye
            4 Jon Leur
            5 Raja Bell

After being the number 3 seed most of my season, a late run helped us capture the number 1 seed and gave Shannon Brown honors as MVP, Wilson Chandler was mentioned in the All-NBA 3rd team, but I'm not sure really if that's even anything big.

I really like this team because we spread the ball around a lot (rely much on the 3 ball) and normally have a different leading scorer every night.

I'm also planning on bumping up to Hall of Fame difficulty, not because I am mowing teams down (my games are all actually really close) but because I really want a challenge if I am going to take home the trophy this year.

Anyways, I'm getting ready to take on the Atlanta Hawks and Seth Curry. He was second in MVP voting. We'll see how this pans out.

I just finished my 1st season as the Bulls and we won the Championship over the Mavericks (that's my prediction by the way in real life). Started the 2nd season and got Aaron Afflalo and so far we're 2-1, but D. Rose got injured and is out for 2-4 weeks. I drafted 2 guards though (Nolan Smith - PG/SG and McNacmey from Illinois) so we'll see how well they play off the bench.

This is EXACTLY how 2K should allow the rotation/depth chart to be set up from now on! It makes it a lot easier to clarify who subs in for who.

It would make it a lot easier... also if you can set your depth chart outside of the game... and then when you go to make on the fly change sit goes straight to those options in that order before anyone else it deems more likely... I hate having to tap through to the player I am after because 2K just doesn't get my logic. I like to make subs on the fly to save timeouts to break momentum.

Played my first game last night with some sliders I found on here... I lost 111 to 112... think it was a bit too high scoring and tyereke Evans was able to monster me... that said I hit 8/10 trey's with Martell webster... Might have to tweek the sliders once I have seen a bit of a curve. I'll be blogging about my association, once I qualify post wise to have a blog.

So, I'm about halfway through my first season with the Grizzlies. I made some trades, and here's my roster:

                      PG: OJ Mayo/Patty Mills/Greivis Vasquez
                      SG: Mickael Pietrus/Tony Allen/OJ Mayo
                      SF: Rudy Gay/Damon Jones/Mickael Pietrus
                      PF: Lamarcus Aldridge/J.J. Hickson/Darrell Arthur
                      C: Marc Gasol/Przybilla/J.J. Hickson

How's my team? I usually score with a L.A. or Gasol pick and roll.
I traded Mike Conley to the Blazers... AND I NEED A POINT GUARD!!! Can you guys suggest a PG..? I was thinking Roddy Beaubois, but the Mavs want sooo much for him...

                          Quick Cavs update...

If you remember, I'm in Season 3, with Kyrie Irving, and Harrison Barnes leading my Cavaliers...

I started the Association using the PRO/SIM settings, and started my Season 9-1, and I was blowing some good teams away. So, I bumped it up to ALLSTAR/SIM and my oh my... I have lost 5 out of 6 and its pretty damn frustrating. I feel like the CPU can go on a 12-2 spurt whenever they need it to put me away late in the game.

I'm gonna stick with it, because, I like the Challenge. It kinda sucks right now, because I feel like I'm in between PRO and ALLSTAR in my skill level, so, on PRO I always win, on ALLSTAR I'm losing nearly ever game haha. I guess I just gotta get better? lol.

Stay on All-Star, and just lower the CPU's scoring by 1 or 2 ponts, in each category.

Quick update on my Knicks Chise with CP3, Melo and STAT. So Melo has been my main scorer thus far, CP3 being the distributor and Stat killing them in the post. I'm 4-2 right now. Hold thing is this CP3's contract year and he saying he most likely going to test free agency. So I'm trying to have the best season possible to convince him to stay.

On other notes, every game keeps ending in like 100-115 scores. I dont like it, it's high. The FG% seem to be realistic, but i think i might drop me and the CPU scoring attributes a little bit, not to sure.

Started up another Association this time trying to keep a team in tact instead of just trading everyone I picked the Hawks played one game decided Joe Johnson isn't worth a Max deal so i traded him for Danny Granger then got Paul George then after the season Al Horford wanted a major contract for being an undersized decent Center so I traded him to Cleveland for a pick selected Kyrie Irving
Just played my first game against the Raptors which I won 99-85(It was closer than it seems)
Granger was lights out with 35(7 coming in the last 2 minutes)9 boards, 7 assist
George came off the bench and went 7-16 for 16 points 6 boards 6 assist
Biggest surprise was DJ Mebenga and Magnum Rolle who combined for 12 points 21 rebounds and 5 blocks
Team shot 5/21 at the free-throw line though

If you're controlling all 30 teams, what's the best logic you would use in the off season as far as re-signings and offers? It seems like when the re-signing period starts, whatever the automatic offer is, it'll be good enough to re-sign anybody. So, how do I make it challenging? I'm not exactly an expert on knowing who or who doesn't deserve a big contract so the 2011 offseason wasn't really an 'exciting' one.

Plus, do you allow "trade override" and/or" cpu trades" on or off?
