Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Depends on how you play with him
I drafted Derrick(75) over Kyrie(77) and traded the 4th pick and I plan on making him a better ball-handler and once that happens I don't see why he can't be like a Lebron 2.0 just not a good passer
or you could get Derrick first then draft Brandon Knight that way you get stud at SF and PG
Williams and Knight would be solid in 2k11, but, In real life I think Kryie is the only "cant miss" prospect in this years draft.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
so I'm now 11 - 3 in my current association and the Lakers SUCK... I have smashed them twice... the Clippers nearly beat me (20 points up in the second but i came back to grab a 2 point win in the last seconds of game)... but the Lakers... just can't handle the TimberwolvesAJ Stuart M25 Career Dynasty- http://www.operationsports.com/wolvesjr34/dynasty/Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
**CAVS UPDATE, Season 3**
Played the Detroit Pistons last night... They are ranked 30th in Offense, Defense and Rebounding lol.
I jumped out to a 35-10 1st quarter lead and never looked back. I played allot of my bench guys that were grumbling about minutes, and won the game 101-85
Cavs are now 13-10, and in 2nd place in the Central Division.
Right now, I've been switching back and forth from PRO/SIM to ALLSTAR/SIM and adjusting sliders to try and find that perfect set for me. I'm stuck in between PRO and ALLSTAR right now. On PRO I dominate, on ALLSTAR I get destroyed haha.
**CAVS RUMORS**
Last offseason the Cavs re-signing veteran SF/PF Antwan Jamison to a $3.5m contract for 2 years. The contract was offered with the understanding that Antwan understood his role as a "role player" on the team. He would not be getting "stater" or "6th man" minutes as his skills have obviously diminished here in the late stages of his career. I was our understanding that Antwan wanted to be here, to be a mentor to the young guys like JJ Hickson, Hasheem Thabeet, Kyri Iring and Harrison Barnes. Well, 24 games into the season, there have been some "rumblings" from Antwan and his agent about Antwans lack of minutes. Right now Antwan is averaging about 17-19 minutes per game, which, honestly, is more than we planned on giving him, but, he still is "happy" with that.
With Jamison being disgruntled about playing time, we are going to be looking to move him in the near future. Probably for a young SG or possibly draft picks from a team that is in need of some veteran leadership.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Off the Top of your head, who do you think I could go after with Jamison? He is 76ovr, 35yr old and has a 2yr $3.5mil contract.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Oh yeah, In real life I think he's the clear-cut number 1 pick this year and I don't think the Cavs even look at anyone else for that first pick and hopefully trade that 4th pick for a next years pick maybe but in 2K I'd go Williams and KnightComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I started my cavs association. Started by trading Jamison for Kiralenko (spelling) due to his expiring contract and cleared up a lot of cap space. Drafted D. Williams with the 1st overall pick and after some deliberation took Kemba over Knight. I am a huge Kemba fan even thought he will turn out to be a role player at best in the NBA. I then got back into this years 1st round with the 21st pick after the computer proposed a trade where I gave up my current 2nd and next years 1st rounder. I picked up Tristain Thompson from texas. Figured he could help on the boards a lot. Then in Free agency I picked up Chris Douglas-Roberts who is a very underrated player imo. I also traded some D Gibson and a draft pick to Houston for H Thabeet<O</O

Is he one of the most "underrated" players in this game?
He is a monster for me... On the Boards... Post defense... and Blocking over 2 shots per gameComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
My dad challenged me to rebuild the Bucks and win a championship, so I decided to try it. I played 3 games on pro difficulty and lost all three. It looks hard to fulfill that challenge xD
But at least it's somewhat fun... Oh yeah, I'm also playing with 5 minute quarters.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Got to All-Star weekend in the 3rd year of my association. Currently sitting atop the Western Conference
2012-2013 All-Star lineups
East
Guards: Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul (NYK), John Wall, Kemba Walker (TOR), Rajon Rondo
Forwards: LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Carmelo Anthony, Terrence Jones (CLE)
Centers: Dwight Howard (NJ), Brook Lopez (ORL)
West
Guards: Russell Westbrook, Kobe Bryant, Eric Gordon, Monta Ellis, Kyrie Irving (PHX), Ty Lawson
Forwards: Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin, Dirk Nowitzki, Josh Smith (SA)
Centers: Andrew Bynum, Nene
And made a few trades prior to the game to shake up the league a bit. One trade that lands Monta Ellis in Boston, and another three-team trade between LAC/LAL/WAS than lands Griffin in LAL and Bynum in WAS....Clipps end up with Blatche/McGee and three first rounders (to go along with their going to be top 5 pick in the draft)Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Has anyone else seen Mark Jackson as a coach in the game? I was in year 3 of my association when I was playing in the all star game. Kevin Harlan then says " Here's the lineup on the floor for Mark Jackson." After he said that, I instantly went to replay and Lord behold, there is a guy who heavily favors Mark Jackson. Long story short, has anyone else ran into Coach Mark Jackson.NFL: Tennessee Titans
NBA: Indiana Pacers
MLB: St Louis Cardinals
NCAAB: Duke Blue DevilsComment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
In my second season with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Finished 56-26 last season and got the 2nd seed in the West, but lost to the Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinal.
During the draft, I traded the Bucks for their first round pick (#6) and Chris Douglas Roberts for Cole Aldrich and Nate Robinson and drafted Kawhi Leonard. Then drafted Chandler Parsons and Josh Selby and picked up JJ Barea out of FA.
Roster looks like this:
PG-Russell Westbrook
SG-James Harden
SF-Kevin Durant
PF-Serge Ibaka
C-Kendrick Perkins
Bench: PG JJ Barea
SG Josh Selby
SG Chris-Douglas Roberts
SG Thabo Sefolosha (Hurt)
SF Kawhi Leonard
PF Nick Collison
C Nazr Mohammed
So far in year 2, I'm 2-0 having beaten the Golden State Warriors (92-77) and the Chicago Bulls (89-76, after being up 71-45 after Q3, Rose had 7 points lol)
Hoping to win the championship or at least make the Western Conference finals this year.
Interesting, realistic note, first year NBA Finals was the Mavericks vs the Bulls.Comment
