I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with Paul Westhead but he coached a run and gun style that helped Loyola Marymount average about 120 ppg in college, and the Nuggets which averaged a similar amount. His team shot the ball almost immediately and then would force a quick shot on the defensive end. His team once even scored over 180 points in a game.

I just tried this tonight in NBA 2K11 and had a blast with the Cavaliers. They're terrible but with this style, I was able to give the Celtics a tough run. I eventually lost 151-143 on 10 minute quarters with realistic sliders. I gave up many many easy buckets, but I was usually able to score in the first 6 seconds of the shot clock. The Cavs are terrible but if I can start an association and then form a team with the skill sets needed to run this offense it will be a blast.

So that's what I am going to do now with this game. A rebuilding of the Cavs, while playing this fun offense. By the way, there were some incredible numbers this game. Rondo had 20 and 20, Ray Ray 26 and 10, Pierce 34, Garnett 36 and 12, and the Cavs had 9 players in double digits with Daniel Gibson leading the way with 20 and Ramon Sessions dishing out 17 assists. I forced the Celtics into 18 turnovers, while I had 14. They shot 73%, while I shot 68%, which may seem terrible, but you have to realize that there were many many wide open lay ups.

Wow. Seems like a good way to even out the talent gap between the cavs and elite teams. keep posting it'lll be interesting to see what happens if you do this for a whole season.

1) trade Dang, Noah & 1st rounder to Memphis for OJ Mayo and Rudy Gay

2) Traded Ronnie Brewer to Cleveland for Daniel Gibson and a 1st

3) Traded OJ Mayo to Denver for JR Smith, Balkman and their 1st

Rose / Gibson / Watson
Smith / Gibson / Korver
Gay / Balkman / Korver
Boozer / Gibson
Thomas / Chicago backup

I am loving this roster. I run, run, run. I'm a great 3 point shooting team. Have decent depth in my backcourt only spot I'm really weak at is C and I'll address that in the draft or through free agency. Might try and package Taj GIbson and a pick or something for a decent C so I can get depth.

Right now I am like 6-2 in my season and on a 5 game win streak. Now bear in mind that my opponets were the likes of Cleveland, Minnesota, Sacremento, and a couple other team.s

This isn't my team but I am playing Association with the Pistons and I simmed most of the first year. Anyways, preseason we played against the Knicks. This is their lineup.

Just started up an association with the Wizards after my my player save got corrupted.

Simmed the first couple season until I got a team that I liked and I have a very young side with an aging veteran. I make one trade per season manually and any trade the CPU offers me is fair game as well. My lineup going into season 3 is this.

With Mike Gilchrist coming off the bench and playing big minutes.

Going the play one sim 4 games route. I figured 15 games is enough per year as I enjoy the off season part of the game a lot and I never seem to get to experience it when I try to play every game. I just don't have the time. Of course if I make the playoffs I will play all of those games.

Played my first game against the Grizzlies who were listed as the 3rd best team in the league. Played them close throughout and probably would have had a pretty good size lead built up if Wall didn't spend the majority of the game on the bench with foul trouble. Because of that the Grizzlies kept it close and in the 4th qtr. ran away with it beating me 96-78. Gilchrist was my leading scorer coming off the bench with 22 points.

Gotta quit gambling with Wall so that he can stay out on the floor if I'm going to have any chance of succeeding this season.

You certainly have 3 good finishers at the rim [rose,smith,gay] but who's blockin' shots inside? I've never played with Thomas but i wouldn't think he's serviceable as starting C.

You totally hi-jacked CLE lolol..now they don't have a 1st rnd pick and they're the worst team in the NBA.

Well I'm in my second year with the knicks. I finished 49-33 and earned the 5th seed in the playoffs. I was eliminated by the Celtics 4-1. I was excited for the off-season with the idea that i was going to get carmelo anthony but that wasnt the case. there was no way in hell i could've signed him.

0-20 start to my Cavs Association (29 game seasons). This team is just awful.

Already traded Varejo, Parker and just unloaded Hickson for a first rounder in 2011 Draft (lottery pick) and a scrub from Minnesota.

The offseason can't come fast enough.

When you really think about it, the digital Cavs are pretty close to the real Cavs. Sad.

My entire last game was spent between pro and all star and I beat the Nuggets at home. The last 6 minutes or so I pulled away on all star. Yao was an animal, scoring 34, I think close to 20 in that quarter. The Nuggets did not have an answer.

I am up to 3-2 now. I score most of my points via the three pointer, which I expect to change soon. I am going to try to be completely between all star and pro now, so I need to learn how to score in other methods.

I've started doing a 30 team Association, but I haven't fully "jumped in" yet because I'm using Rashidi's rosters and editing on the fly by adding in DC's playbook and touches edits, greenie's coaching profiles and a tweaked version of his sliders. Right now I'm just playing the marquee matchups.

It's been a pain in the *** doing all the editing, but last night it really payed off because I had a great game with the Knicks and Celtics. Rondo played as close to real life Rondo as I've seen.

I still have a long way to go but once I get everything done, I'm going to take over one team and use them the entire season (while still keeping control of the other 29 teams for the most part).

I have been thinking about using the Knicks as my team and thought about trading Wilson Chandler. I toyed with a few ideas like sending him to Cleveland for Anderson Varejao or Detroit for Tayshaun Prince (there were other pieces in both deals to make the salaries work), but for now I decided against it. I'd have to end up adding Eddy Curry to the deal and I feel Chandler and Curry's expiring are too much value to only be adding Varejao or Prince to the Knicks' 8 man rotation.

So how exactly does team chemistry work? I'm sort of confused. How do you get it higher for your team etc?

I know that lots of trades lowers team chemistry, but thats about it. Anyone got good team chemistry tips?>
