Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Going to load up a new association to co-exist with my Orlando Magic 'chise. Decided I would attempt to play with the Oklahoma City Thunder, I just really wanted a dominant, pure shooter in Kevin Durant. ( Plus I've never actually played as or against them )

    Things I need to do are;

Acquire a dominant post presence at the center position,
Get rid of Russell Westbrook for a better outside scoring point guard,
Acquire a couple of three point shooters for the bench.

I was thinking someone like Roy Hibbert, Marcin Gortat, Marcus Camby or DeAndre Jordan to become the dominant inside guy, however Cole Aldrich is rated a 67 ( B in Post D and Rebounding ) so I'm not sure if I should give him a try.

In regard to Russell Westbrook, I sometimes like to attack the rim but with my point guard I tend to sit on the perimeter and play the passing game with them while being able to drain the three's if I needed them in a tough situation. Now onto what could be a decent trade with him.

Russell Westbrook is rated 87, is 21 and has a A+ potential but is woeful when it comes to perimeter shooting. Possible guys I could trade him for; ( obviously I could throw in a maximum of two 1st rounders to make it more fair )

Chris Paul is rated 94, is 25 and has a B potential,
Derrick Rose is rated 88, is 22 and has an A+ potential,
Raymond Felton is rated 82, is 26 and has an A- potential,
Stephen Curry is rated 80, is 22 and has an A+ potential,
Brandon Jennings is rated 79, is 21 and has an A- potential.

If it was at all feasable, which would you think would be the more ideal trade for both teams? Obviously if I was to trade for Felton, Curry or Jennings I may expect a little more in return regarding draft picks.

Started one with the Warriors. First year i trade D.Lee for L.Aldridge, pick up Zach Randolph in the free agent, along with m.thorthon, d.west and azunuike. Hired Jerry Sloan as my head coach. start of he third year traded Zach and another player for Al. Jefferson expiring contract. My line up looks like...

Its actually quite a nice offensive team and you have Jefferson downlow with many outside shooters but i think your team will just be under.500 in real life.

          Trading Russ?! Whaaa?

Why not just keep him and use the training drills each month to improve his shot? You could also use the offseason training to improve it as well, not to mention he's going to progress by himself.

Well so far I've kept the team and not made any transactions, currently sitting at 6-1 ( I tend to simulate some of the easier games ) and not doing to bad with Westbrook so I might take your advice on board and see if I can improve his outside shooting game and hope it doesn't effect me when playing against the harder teams, if it does and he isn't improving that much then he may have to be shipped off.

Don't trade him, he is extremely althetic and just improve his jumpshot, even in real life he can shoot 3s and pull up for mid range js

                [22-11 TOR year 1/All-Star/82gm/10min]

Good week beating CHI and BOS on the road but dropped another one to SAC. 2-2 against BOS this year, i'll take that. News of note Ray Allen, Kurt Thomas, Iverson will retire at season's end.

                    Any advice for me (nuggets)

                    PG Mike Conley/Lou Williams/Bobby Brown
                    SG Evan Turner/Corey Brewer/Morris Peterson
                    SF Wilson Chandler/Ronnie Brewer
                    PF Tyler Hansbrough/Louis Admunson/Amir johnson
                    C Joakim Noah/Solomon Alabi

10-2 right now but i want to add more outside shooting and there isn't really enough shots to go around I ran a trade for lou and the brewers for nick young and rashard lewis in kinda 50-50 on it..

Unrealistic trade, but both Lewis and Young have easy releases and are absolutely lethal from deep.

Starting an Association with the Raptors using purist's sliders.
I will be playing all 29 games, 11 or 10 min quarters, ill see which after a couple games and see how points look.
Will be upping the difficulty if I'm a couple of games over 500 considering this should be a weak team this season.

Using Dynasty Roster v.2 from Ronyell with some of my own edits to get it up to date roster wise with trades and some rating edits I felt necessary (Blake Griffin, K-Love, Felton, etc.)
Only trade I made was for Maurice Speights, i moved 2 2nd roun picks, Joey Dorsey, and Julian right for him and Jodie Meeks.

                        My Lineup is

                        1 - Bayless | Calderon
                        2 - Barbosa | Weems | J. Robinson (D-League)
                        3 - DeRozan | Klieza
                        4 - Bargnani | Speights
                        5 - Davis | Johnson | Ajinca

I don't like Barg at the 5 personally so i moved davis and johnson there although they are undersized. Offense is going to run a lot and the season should be rough. I'm trying to keep it as realistic as possible so I'm trying to not make many trades. I've only made one, and it was nothing close to a blockbuster. I wanted a big man that could play the 4 and 5 to come off the bench and have some scoring capability inside. I originally wanted J. O'Neal but I couldn't figure out a trade that worked, although I know he always gets mad with his role, so I got Speights who might be able to develop with the rest of this team and its young core.

I used the trade finder I haven't pulled the trigger though... and that came up so you think thats a good trade? I lose 3 great defenders (ones a great scorer ones a good scorer and ones someone who cant shoot to save his life i gain 1 great defender a guy who doesnt deserve to be put in the same atmosphere as defense and they can shoot like it second nature..

Sure did...I like Greene b/c since he's 6'11 he's played alot of PF for me when my bigs get injured like Bargs just did today...I'm not fond of Kleiza or Wright but they're insurance b/c someone's always getting injured...i'm trying to keep the Raptors as real as possible this year with 8 guys from the current real life roster, next year i'll be a better GM and make moves to improve...unsure about the draft, actually i only have my own 2nd rnd pick b/c i had to trade my others, i always use auto-generated draft classes as i've never downloaded anything to my PS3 [skeptical]

I just finished my first season with the T-wolves and ended up with the 4th pick in the draft and picked Perry Jones. Also in the off season i signed Michael Redd to a year deal for him to come off the bench figured i could use a 3pt shooter as i don't like ridnour's shot too much. I also traded darko and nikola pekovic to the griz for thabeet. mostly so i could just get rid of darko and maybe develop thabeet. I am going with a small line-up for this season as my rotation looks like this

My goal for this team is to break .500 as i was 34-48 last year. I think I'll be able to do it I'm number 22 in the power rankings to start the year. Maybe i can jump the Nuggets for third in the division behind the jazz and thunder since they traded away melo. Interestingly Steve Nash was traded to the cavs and Melo ended up on the Knicks for Wilson Chandler and Danilo.

Props for not blowing the team up and trying to build with what you have. 34-48 is really good with that roster.

I have a soft spot for the T-Wolves since Flynn and Wes Johnson are both ex-Syracuse guys. I like Love's game, too.
