Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I am 4-6 now. I switched to new settings and sucked a big one @ home against Charlotte.
I have a question, my entire team is like negative. Is this morale based? I have some thrilled players who are not plusses. What gives?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I'm thinking about using the Bobcats. I usually keep things 100 % sim and realistic but I've had an itch to throw Jordan on the team to spice things up a bit.
I would probably use the '97-'98 version of him. What do you guys think?
I know it's my game and all and I should do what I want, but I'm horrible at making decisions... I'm leaning towards just going through with it...Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just started an association with the Magic, made a few trades and a few signings and got this;
PG | Gilbert Arenas (Starter/81) - Jameer Nelson (6th Man/75) - Chris Duhon (Bench Warmer/69)
SG | Jason Richardson (Starter/75) - J.J. Redick (Role Player/67)
SF | Mickael Pietrus (Starter/72) - Marvin Williams (Role Player/66) - Adam Morrison (Bench Warmer [IR]/54)
PF | Jason Maxiell (Starter/72) - Louis Amundson (Role Player/64)
C | Dwight Howard (Star/92) - Daniel Orton (Prospect/60) - Steven Hunter (Bench Warmer/56)
Decided to bring Pietrus back because I suck with Turkoglu, he moves too slow, can't make shots, can't defend, and has no upside (in the game not irl.) Pietrus can hit the outside shot, defend very well, and dunk on just about anybody. Marvin Williams is a bigger SF who is a decent prospect and Jason Maxiell I just prefer over Brandon Bass. Brought in Steven Hunter who can basically play the exact same role as Daniel Orton if he ever gets hurt. Should be interesting.
I traded hedo, anderson, 2012 second round pick (den) and riddick to minni to get corey brewer, wayne ellington and tolliver.
i changed gilbert's postion to shooting guard which allow me to have nelson starting and give duhon more playing time. Changed brewer postion to small forward which let me give q.rich more time.
Pg-Jamerr Nelson
Sg= Gilbert Arenas
Sf- Corey Brewer
Pf- Kenyon Martin
C- Dwight Howard
6th- Brandon bass
7th Quinton RIchardson
8th Chris Duhon
9th- Sean Williams (signed from free agency)
10th- Sundiata Gaines (signed from free agency)
11t- Earl clark
12- Daniel Orton
13- Rashard McCacnts
14- Wayne Ellington

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I'd actually like to ask your opinions on something. I have a good team that I'm happy with, and it would be very difficult to improve it. The problem is, I have a poor record and there's half a chance of getting the number one overall draft pick.
Now, there's not much point using the pick in a trade, because the only real position I could improve on is SF, and there isn't really a decent candidate available that would justify trading the number one pick.
And even if I use the pick in the draft, I might end up with a blue-chipper like Blake Griffin, and then where would he fit in?
Any help guys? What would you do?Comment

I'am using the magic to and basically traded people to get more younger and more of a defensive team. i traded j-rich, and malik allen to the nuggest to get kenyon martin and thier 2012 second round pick.which made my inside defense better and took pressure off of howard.
I traded hedo, anderson, 2012 second round pick (den) and riddick to minni to get corey brewer, wayne ellington and tolliver.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
How can I boost team chemistry? Like Battier never plays. He's a minus 7. If I give him more minutes to boost him someone else is gonna get pissed. He's useless for me.
His contract is expiring, I should probably just trade him right?Comment

I can get Gerald Wallace for Battier and Patrick Patterson. It's tempting.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I love those trades, makes your team a really good defensive team which the Magic seem to lack unless Howard is on the floor at all times. I tried Turkoglu for two games as well in one of my many fantasy draft associations and had to trade him, cool to see someone else feel how I do about him, lol. Good luck bud.
Your chemistry is low, when your chemistry is low, players go down in ratings no matter how happy they themselves might be. Makes sense if you think about it.
I would do it myself, sounds like fun. Maybe by putting MJ on the team they will actually win some games, lol. That would be a great defensive team though with MJ aboard, I might try that myself.
I like those trades for you, very good defensive team now. Only quirk I have is I would replace Arenas in the starting lineup with Quentin Richardson and move Brewer back to SG. I think it would be beneficial both for your defensive play and you will have a scorer coming off of the bench. Good luck with your association either way.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I just played a ridiculous game against the Warriors. First, let me say in the previous game against the Lakers, Ron Artest put a hard foul on Rudy Gay and is now out for 1-2 weeks.
The 2-2 Grizzlies take on the 2-1 Warriors in Oakland. In Gay's spot, I start Sam Young. Young only goes off for career highs in points and rebounds, 28 and 13 respectively—nothing much. Young wasn't even what made this game so good. Now where the real action takes place is late in the game. After crawling my way back from a 16 point deficit, it's only a 4 point game (99-95) with 4 minutes to go. Golden State promptly goes on a run and is up 112-101 with only 50 seconds left. Game over, right?
Mike Conley, step back 3. Swish. Mike Conley steals the inbound pass; passes it to Mayo, back to Conley, step back 3. Swish. Golden State errant pass on the inbound goes out of bounds. Grizzlies ball. Mike Conley, step back 3. Swish...see where I'm going (and this actually happened!). Monta Ellis misses a 3. Fastbreak and Young gets fouled, making 1 of 2. Ellis then hits a ridiculously sweet 360 layup to put them up 114-111. Guess what happened next? Mike Conley step back 3...Swish! Tie game, overtime. And in overtime, I pull away, but Stephen Curry hits a 3 with 45 seconds to go and it's a 1 point game. Mike Conley, step back 3. Swish...he was unconscious. Hits the dagger with 25 seconds to go in OT.
Conley just went nuts!!! I won the game, 129-124. Conley had 28 points (17 in 4th/OT), 6 rebounds, 9 assists, and 5 steals. He also hit 7-12 from 3.
Overall, this was an amazing game and everytime I cut it close, the Warriors pulled away until the end.Last edited by LHSLax_D24; 02-13-2011, 02:14 PM.Purdue Boilermakers

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Started my Knicks franchise on All-Star, might up the difficulty as I'm 3-0. I made a lot of trades to boost my team. Here's a run down of my team.
PG: Felton, Dragic, House
SG: Fields, Rudy Fernandez, Von Wafer
SF: Carmelo, Gallinari
PF: Amar'e, Tyler Hansbrough, Ryan Anderson
C: Kendrick Perkins, Koufos
Not a bad team so far, may look to get a better back-up Center.Comment
