Judging by the way you're explaining this series you're being drastically outplayed right now. Unless you get a full out effort on Kobe your blazers seem to be biting of more than they can chew.
If you do lose I suggest you addressing this defensive issue in the off season and unloading either Monta or Curry (they're both undersized two small back court guards who play spotty defense at best doesn't make a good championship team) and try and get either a big point guard or big shooting guard that can play defense. I developed Courtney Lee into an All Defense team and Defensive player of the year with him being able to shut down anything from 1-3. I think what you did is go for big names and not realize that developing certain players can pay off in the long run. Get rid of either Josh Smith or Aldridge and get a legitimate Center for once Camby retires (he's ancient and with Injuries his durability will make you suffer)

A good starting lineup could be Curry a big good defender 2 guard someone other than Melo (he like never resigns) Aldridge/Smith (I prefer Aldridge his post offense is too legit and Josh Smith can be really erratic) and a decent Center. The key here is to develop guys with inseason work not just hope on potential to do the work.

Yeah, Im gonna trade up Melo before he leaves so I have good players to develop like Paul George. Im Definetly gonna try for A George/Melo Trade. But I'm keeping ELLIS. Him and Carmelo scored 22.3 In the Season. I might just get rid of Curry(Season Stats:14.3 PPG, 7.7 APG) For being an PG, I expect more from him. So I'm Gonna for A PG like Collison. And at Center. I might trade Josh Smith and Camby for Demarcus Cousins, Who Is an Amazing Developing rookie. Lineup may Look like this As of next year!

Well the Odom trade came sooner than later for me as I saw a great deal that I liked and pulled the trigger.

The trade was:

LAL sends: Odom(79)+Darius Morris(68)+Earl Watson(67)+2012 Bobcats 2nd roudner

PHI sends: Lou Williams(80)+Jason Maxiell(71)

I also signed PG Patrick Beverly(65) to bring some perimeter D and fill in Watson's spot.

Roster now looks like this:

PG: Williams/Beverly/Fisher
SG: Bryant/McGrady/Goudelock
SF: Artest/Barnes/Pietrus/Summers
PF: Gasol/Maxiell/Evans
C: Bynum/Dalembert

Now my team rating is a 90 overall.

My 2011-12 Lakers are currently 5-0. Williams had a 23/5/6 game off of 8-12 shooting in his 1st game as a Laker, while blowing out the Suns 116-90. Williams totally shutdown Steve Nash forcing him to have a 8 point game with 9 assists and 7 TOs.

Ahahaha no problems bro I tried a run and gun te but once I got hit with a good defensive team I got destroyed. Also Paul George is a great choice the dude develops into an absolute MONSTER even without doing much to help him. In my one of my Houston associations I made him my first priority and through drills and developing he turned into basically a LeBron James clone (despite the LeBron hate 2K absolutely loves the guy) George became a lockdown defender for me as well as a great offensive player had him pretty much be my Point-Forward. My lineup looked like this.

Eric Bledsoe (man he became amazing after developing)
Courtney Lee/Computer Generated 6th man
Paul George
Patrick Patterson
Hasheem Thabeet (he wasn't a scorer for me he just scored of offensive putbacks and he became great at guarding the paint for me with development and stays pretty cheap for his career)

George and Patterson were my 2 stars with George averaging LeBron like numbers.

I'd also suggest going after Xavier Henry he develops pretty well if he got minutes at his team and has a decent shot.

That's A Pretty young lineup. OH, And I completed GAME 6. It was win or go home for me. After the 1st Quarter we contained Kobe A lot better. But once you contain one player, another player goes on a tear, that player this game was RON ARTEST. He Drained every 3 He Went for it seemed. On our side, Curry Stuggled througoout the game And Along with him was Marcus Camby. But The player who stepped up for the Must win game was Monte Ellis. Who fought valiantly As if it was his last game ever, Scoring a Magnificent 37 Points! But was it enough?

What difficulty are you guys playing on? And are you using any special sliders? I've been playing on HOF with default sliders because I want to be challenged...but I'm getting really tired of psychic CPU defense lol. However, if that's the only way winning becomes a challenge, I'll stick with it.

Check some of the slider sets in the slider forum. Lots of different sets to choose from!

O agree. Portland is a team that realistically is one maybe two pieces away from an NBA championship right now. Also under so circumstance would ny get rid of Melo. And LA12 is a top 10 power forward - keep him there.

So while the Cavs association is still my main focus, I decided to do a OKC association to develop KD and Westbrook.

I went ahead and simmed the first season to get it up to date with where we are now in the off season. I did devote time to developing Nate Robinson and Westbrook's shot with my development hours.

We made the play-offs and lost to the Spurs. I ended up with a late 1st round pick so I drafted Reggie Jackson, just like in real life. I then swapped the 2nd rounder for a 2012 2nd round pick to save cap space.

Off-season moves:

Moved Westbrook to SG- bumped his rating to 90 overall
Made Nate Robinson the starting PG

This left me with around 8 million to devote to Free Agents.

Signed SG Marcus Thorton to 1yr/8.35mill deal
Signed SF Alonzo Gee to 1 yr/5.76mill deal (MLE)

I am currently the overall rated #1 team coming into season 2. This is my lineup

PG: Nate Robinson, Reggie Jackson, Eric Maynor, Royal Ivey
SG: Russel Westbrook, James Harden, Marcus Thorton, Thabo Sefoloshia
SF: Kevin Durant, Alonzo Gee
PF: Serge Ibaka,
C: Kendrick Perkins

I am really deep but following the first season where Westbrook and KD stayed injured enough to both miss the All-Star game( KD had a broken Jaw!) dept is probably a good thing.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions for improvements? I am currently the 1st overall, 2nd overall defense, and 1st overall offense. I have only played one game(8min/HOF/default_sliders) and blasted the Pistons at home. KD had 42 and Westbrook had 26 all in the 1st half. This team is going places.

Just a fun game with the Heat to start off Season 1, not even the real Heat anymore, got rid of people I don't like or got rid of some people to get with players I can shoot good with. Bosh, I can't time his shot so he's gone, look in the sig for more info.

All I wanted to do Was make a team with Superstars. I've done alot Of REBUILDING with teams like the Cavs and the Kings and have took them to the Finals. AND now, I'm trying to make a full superstar team. In Season 3, I'm Definetly trading away Melo(big contract) and Josh Smith for My Old Players (Roy, Wallace) And BTW, Roy took NY to the Playoffs, But lost in the 1st round against Pacers(in 6) XD. So I think theyll want him back. I'm also gonna try for Paul George.

I´m leading ECF-series 2-1 vs. Heat. I´m with Magic and team´s play has get better all season and now its actually best in league. I have strong feeling that this time I get my first ring in any b-ball game ever, team is so good.

After this season, win ring or not, I will start new association with Sonics (expansion draft you know).

WOW. So I get home and load up my Association and realize that I am controlling the Pacers. I remembered I was fixing their rotation last night because they had Ed Davis playing 6 min per game. So I go to resign back to the Kings and the game freezes every time. I checked the bugs and glitches forum and it appears to be a common issue. I had a backup save file but I haven't saved on it since I started the season and I was 20 games into the season with a 13-7 record and 1st in the West. I also made quite a few rotation changes and trades controlling other teams that would take a while to go back and do over again. I was already thinking about making this my last year and then starting a new Association with a better roster set but now I'm thinking I might just go ahead and make a new one now. I did sim most of the first 20 games but I don't want to have to simulate the 1st 20 games to get back to where I was and have all my players stats reset. I think I might just simulate the whole season and play the playoffs to try to win one championship before I call it quits. Anybody know of any way to get my original Association back before I go through with this?

I decided to go ahead and sim the season because I am ready to start a new Association with next year's rosters but I knew I would have a shot to win a ring with this team before I quit. We ended up winning 55 games which gave us the best record in the league. We are playing the Rockets in the 1st round. I dont remember their entire roster but their main rotation looks like this:

Lowry/Cory Joseph
Martin
Williams/Adonis Thomas
Love/Mancinelli (70 rated generated player formerly on my team)
Hayes/Whiteside

We took game one by double digits with a great run in the 4th quarter. Tyreke Evans tied his career high with 45 points on 17-26 shooting. Patterson had a great game against his former team with 17 and 14.

I like our chances of winning it all this year. We are the highest rated team in the league with 99 offense and 94 defense. As I said, this will most likely be my last year in this Association. I want to use a new team with a better roster set (I used the official 2k roster for this one) and another reason is Cousins has already decided to test free agency so we wouldn't be nearly as good of a team next year and we can't afford to keep him and Patterson. Hopefully I can win my 1st championship on 2k so I can leave on a high note.
