I just started a Sacramento Kings association as i really enjoy playing with Tyreke Evans. The rest of the team is on the other hand not that great but i did a number of trades to make the team competitive. Basically i traded D'Cousins and Jason thompson for some of the pacers key players. For the two players i got Darren Collisen, Roy Hibbert and Paul George... a great trade! Then i required the PF Patrick Patterson for my SG Marcus Thornton, im now ready for the season! :-D

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I have gotten to an astounding 21-0 record so far this season. I'm not dominating opponents, as it's almost always close going into the last 6 minutes or so, but with my closing group of Wade, Miller, James, Haslem, and Bosh, it's hard to beat my team down the stretch, even though I've come close to faltering quite a few times already.
My roster really has no significant holes other than I could use a bit more efficiency from 2 of the 5 big men in my roster. I have 3-point snipers in Eddie House, Mike Miller, and James Jones, slashers in Kemba Walker, Chalmers, Wade, and LeBron, finesse in Bosh, grit and hustle in Haslem and Anthony, and the bulk and length of Dexter Pittman and Markieef Morris.
My team is simply too hard to beat over 48 minutes with the simple offense that I run that usually involves no more than 1 or 2 passes, just like Miami does in real life.
I'm flying through the season and playing at least 2 games a day because it's so much fun to use this team. It should be playoff time again in no time. Looking forward to it. Let's go Heat!Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I'm now in the 5th season of my 76ers franchise and we are the two time defending NBA champs and just finished the regular season 66-16 so that makes 2 straight 60+ win regular seasons for us.....for both title runs we ran into the OKC Thunder with Tyreke Evans winning the finals MVP both times....Reke won his second MVP in a row and Evan Turner was 3rd in the MVP voting.
Each season has gone as follows
Year 1: Lost first round to Miami 4-3
Year 2: Lost ECFs to Miami 4-1
Year 3: Won NBA title defeating OKC Thunder 4-3
Year 4: Won NBA title defeating OKC Thunder 4-2
Year 5: Won NBA title defeating OKC Thunder 4-3
Going into the playoffs as the number 1 seed hopefully we can complete the three-peat
So now i'm currently in the 6th year of my Sixers franchise and i'm going for the coveted 4-peat. We're currently 35-7 and just dismantled the Heat in Philly 118-92 to win our 9th straight game. I'm very excited because our team is so fast and we put up a lot of points. We have the #1 defense in the NBA and the 5th best offense in the league as well. Also, John Henson has developed into a 18 PPG 10 RPG guy already and the entire team has developed nicely due to the weekly practices i've put the team through during the season. Here is my current roster...
Starters
PG Jeremy Lin(82)
SG Tyreke Evans(99)
SF Evan Turner(97)
PF John Henson(79)
C Mareese Speights(81)
Bench
PG Jordan Farmar(81)
SG Jodie Meeks(71)
SF Kyle Singler(73)
PF Ryan Anderson(78)
C Samuel Dalembert(70)
PF David Wear(59)
SF CJ Leslie(72)
SG Shabazz Muhammad(73)
SG Jeremy Lamb(72)
I'm concerned right now because Speights and Lin will be UFAs at the end of the season. Lin is going to want max money and Speights is ready to sign an extension now during the season but we don't have enough money under the hard cap to resign him so thats why i'm afraid i'll lose both during FA. With our bench, I can either put Farmar back at the starting PG position or move Tyreke to PG so losing Lin won't hurt that much, but Speights has been an integral part of each championship so far and he's developed into a great midrange/longrange jumpshooter and I would hate to lose him.
I'm going to put Speights/Lin and my first and second round draft pick on the trade block and see what I can get. I'm curious to see if I can get a backup PG and a C....I was thinking of trying to get Dwight Howard but i'm not sure if I want to take on another max contract since Evans and Turner already have max deals.
What do you guys think I should do regarding trading Speights and Lin before I lose them in FA and get nothing?Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
so far, i'm 14 games into my Cincinnati Royals association (switched with Sacramento, put them in the Northwest and put Portland in the Pacific division), and i'm 11-3 with a 9 game winning streak going. i'm using a slider set that was made for Pro (forgot who made them) and most of my wins have been double-digit wins. i was finally able to have close win after a 112-107 win over Denver. after that, i bumped the difficulty to All-Star and won over Utah by 8 so hopefully it worked lol.
lineup:
Delonte West (FA)/D.J. Augustin (traded away Udrich and forgot who else for him)
Tyreke Evans/Francisco Garcia/Antoine Wright/D.J. Strawberry(FA)/Matt Carroll
Omari Casspi/Donte Green
Jason Thompson/Darnell Jackson
DeMarcus Cousins/Samuel Dalenbert
Delonte and Tyreke have been money for me. Delonte averaging 17 ppg but only 4 assists per game while Tyreke has 18.8 ppg (was injured earlier in the season and saw limited time). Delonte and Augustin are pretty much platooning the PG position (32 mpg for Delonte and 27 mpg for DJ). hoping to trade one of my shooting guards for a backup PF to add more depth.Last edited by Spider Tre; 07-11-2011, 02:19 AM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Update on my Cavs Assocation:
After winning my first game of the season I thought that my second year of the Cavs assocation was going to be an improvment over the first. After all I added Derrick Williams with the #4 pick and picked up Terrence Williams in a trade with Houston.
My line up to start the year included Baron Davis starting at the point guard position. I am listening to you guys when you say that I need a young atheletic point guard to run the show. Athleticism is missing from the point position big time! I can not get out and run like I want to on the break with the Williams boys on the wings because it takes Baron forever to start the break!
With that being said I have moved Davis out of the staring line up for now. My current line up is:
Starters
Tmac
T. Williams
D. Williams - R
L. Mah ba a Mutah
G. Oden
Bench
J. Valanciunas - R
B. Davis
M. Brooks - R
G. Hill
L. Ridinor
I. Thomas - R
I just finished playing Indiana and lost by 5 points. Close all the way till the final 30 seconds. I actually had the lead when Collison went nuts in the final 3 mins. I do think that this combination of the line up will help me score more...especially on the break!
Team Stats
Leading scorer - D. Williams 15.3 / T. Williams 12.5
Leading rebounder - G. Oden 7.3
Leading Assist - T Mac - 4.1Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
I am looking to start a win now association with a team that has peices in place already to make a solid run at the title.
OKC and Portland are two teams that are in a good position to win it soon. i have had an association with okc before and its a lot of fun. I have played with the Blazers too and love LA and of course the long time bobcat wallace.
I feel like the Felton trade shows portland is looking to make moves. i also loved nolan smith in college so working with him will be fun. anyone agree that with a couple untapped potential camps he can snag the starting spot so i can let felton go when he ages?
I am going to start a two team association with portland and okc. this should be fun. i will just sim their head to head games.
any thoughts on where to begin with these teams? Any trades that can improve either club? any thoughts will be great! thanksThe way to build a good team is not to load it with star players, but to load it with players who play well together with an identity

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
Just had the game of my life against Miami and by far the most thrilling game of the 2016 season....I had to survive LeBron going for 41 pts, 7 boards and 8 assists and dropping three pointer after three pointer.....Reke went for 42 pts, 13 boards, 4 dimes and 3 steals and Evan Turner dropped 30 pts and 11 boards....we ended up beating the Heat in OT 119-112 and the extra period is where Evans completely took over. After defeating the Heat we are currently 43-7 and #1 in the Eastern Conference with 4 games left against Charlotte, LA Lakers, Orlando, and Toronto before the All-Star break....Being that i'm probably not going to be able to resign Speights and Lin in the offseason i'm still trying to see what I could get for them tradewise.Last edited by Skrilla757; 07-11-2011, 09:23 PM.Comment

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
In need of some advice guys. I've owned 2k11 for around 2 months now and have only recently been getting back into the NBA. Love the game and love the features in it and I'm really keen to start an association and stick with it.
For some reason I can't seem to enjoy sticking with a team though. It's only been recently I've been getting back into basketball and to be honest due to my lack of interest over the past few years I don't really have a favorite team.
I've got a second season saved where I've done the draft picks and done free agency for every team where I think I've made it balanced. In that save I was thinking of doing Boston and rebuilding them.
I've also got a second season save with the Heat which I have enjoyed but started to get bored with.
I've just started a new save starting from the first default season and I wanna pick a team that is fun to play with and try to stick with it. I'm thinking about doing the Knicks and trying to trade for CP3. I'd love to bring New York Basketbal back up and I think they have a good core there. I think my need would be a defensive centre and a starting SG (targets would be Hill or Delonte West).
Has anyone got any advice? I really wanna bring some fun into it and stick with it. Cheers.Last edited by Cairns_baller; 07-12-2011, 06:27 AM.Comment

Started a Kings 29 game season assoc, traded D-Cuz and Udrih for Steph Curry, and assorted trades for Paul George and Joakim Noah, as well as Kyle Korver and Kirk Hinrich. Just lost my first game to the Mavs by 7, but hung tough. Looking forward to the rest of it.Playing (Xbox): FIFA 12, NCAA 12, MLB 2k12 (soon)

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)
After finishing the season with the best record in the the league for the 3rd straight season and Tyreke Evans winning his 3rd consecutive MVP, I went into the postseason ready to get my 4th straight title. We made quick work of the Bucks in round 1, defeating them 4-2 and in the 2nd round dismantling Toronto 4-1 which set us up for an Eastern Conference Final showdown against the 2nd best team in the East, the New York Knicks.......After a hard fought series, we finished off the Knicks 126-98 in game 7 of the ECFs....Turner and Evans led us to victory with each scoring over 30+ points and even with John Henson being injured and unable to play, we also received huge contributions from Marreese Speights and Ryan Anderson as well as our bench.....NY had a great team led by Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire, and they also have John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins in their starting lineup as well....this is the second season in a row where we've knocked the Knicks out of the playoffs and derailed their title plans but they've been the only team in the Eastern Conference that can really contend with us ever since they signed Wall and Cousins as FAs a couple seasons ago.
Well, we move on to the NBA Finals and will try to win our 4th consecutive NBA championship....our opponents this time? None other than the OKC Thunder who will be more than ready to take the title from us as we've defeated them the past three seasons for the championship.Comment
