I'm still plugging away at my custom Association (put in all the Jordan Challenge classic teams), sitting at 31-17 with the 1990-91 Los Angeles Lakers. I lost James Worthy for 1-2 weeks with a shoulder injury, but thankfully I will have him back in time for the playoffs (I'm doing a 58-game season). Tied for first in the Western Conference with OKC. Dallas, San Antonio and the current-day Lakers are all within 2 games of the top seed, so should be real interesting.

The 1985-86 Celtics lead the Eastern Conference but Miami, which has won 14 straight, is coming on strong. Jordan's 1995-96 Bulls are in the No. 3 spot, and MJ leads the league in scoring with 31.7 ppg.

just curious, how many games do you guys play a season in your associations? I like to play most of my games in franchise modes and thats easy to do in football but I find it hard to do in basketball. What do you guys do?

I'm on my 3rd 29 game season with the Seattle SuperSonics. I replaced OKC with Seattle but kept the roster the same. First season we made the playoffs as a 6 seed, beat the Spurs 4-2 then got swept by the Lakers. Second season we were awful and finished 10th in the West.

This season we are currently #1 in the West and in the Power Rankings with only 4 loses and I think somewhere around 16 wins.

On my 3rd (non-fantasy) association with the completely reshaped Pacers leading 3-0 in the finals against the Thunder. Kept Hansbrough who is now pretty clutchh.

Using the 1999-2000 roster and running with the Lakers. Blew out the Rockets in the 1st game of the year 124-97. Shaq&Kobe=DOMINATION. Shaq finished with 34 pts 10 reb 3 ast 2 stl and 1 blk. Kobe messed around and got a triple double with 33 pts 11 reb and 11 ast. Lost Rick Fox for 1-2 weeks with a strained achillies. Next up is the Phoenix Suns

82 games seems to provide realism but playing as many games as possible in 29 game seasons makes it feel like you're part of the team. With 82 games you're most likely simulating games and may even end up playing less games than your 29 game seasons.

My associations are hit or miss. For the most part they're fun, but has anyone ran into a glitch where the stats get messed up randomly? Like for instance after a game with the lakers where kobe scores 30, bynum scores 20, and gasol scores like 19. The boxscore will have messed up numbers saying things like kobe only had 7 points while steve blake scored 30 and got 15 rebounds. AND sometimes it'll have player that aren't even on my team on the boxscore. I'm not sure exactly what causes this it seems random.
