    Re: The Little Things Thread

Was playing with Wizards, driving towards the left of the hoop with Wall. Thought I was going to come in and try a layup, but went up with a very off-balance shot. Got the shot off, but Wall came down with a ton of momemtum from the run and plowed into the mop boy standing on the side. Mop went flying while Wall and mop boy go to the ground. The best thing was that it took Wall about 5 or 6 seconds to get up and rejoin the group on the floor still playing.

I also love how the announcers will be doing some color commentary about Wall being the #1 pick, break in seamlessly with a quick play-by-play when something important happens, then continue on like, "Back to Wall, he...blah blah."

EDIT: Forgot another thing that cracked me up. Was playing as Lakers earlier today, Gasol gets fouled and goes to the line. I make the first, and he blindly reaches behind his back for a pound/knucks/touch/whatever-its-called. He holds it out for a couple of seconds, but nobody walked up to him. He then looks back at Kobe and Kobe just points at him. I found that humorous. Just adds a bit of life to the players.

Wow, I'm playing the bobcats and stephan jackson just got an open 3, but before he released it one of my bench players actually got up and tried to distract jackson...THAT WAS SICK!

Vlade Divac flopping on a foul and getting it called on him.
Mac: I’m saying that I did an ocular assessment of the situation, garnered that he was not a security risk and I cleared him for passage.

Really loving the commentary detail in the Jordan Challenge. I thought it might just be something they'd just open the game with (i.e. "Welcome to Game 2, where Michael Jordan takes on the Los Angeles Lakers") but the specific lines come throughout the entire game.

During my Cleveland Cavs challenge, there was talk about what MJ did a few nights earlier against the Suns (almost going for a triple double, scoring 28 points on 14 field goals, etc.) and how he'd averaged 44 points against Cleveland to that point in the season. Doris Burke even mentioned a newspaper article released in the Cleveland area trumpeting Craig Ehlo's defensive prowess that year. Too cool. Just way too cool.

(Note: I tested it with headphones on as my baby is close by. The improved sound may just be the headphones...though I am sure it wasn't audible in 2K10)

It's not the headphones. The Howl is louder year.

Playing with the Bulls and Boozer fouls a player, he looks at the Jumbo-tron (as if he looking at the replay) and then complains as if he didn't see a foul.

Paul Pierce's step back jumpshot looks just like him, when I first saw it I was very impressed.

In my first game with the 86 Celtics, Parrish come down on someone's foot and turned his ankle, and had to leave the game. Those of you old enough to watch back in the day will remember that the Chief used to do that ALL the time!!!

When I saw it in-game it was like WWWHOOOAAA!!!!

                        I love this game.

The commentators actually talked about a Bobcats name change. They were saying how the Flight would be a good name(I like that too)....and were talking about the Arena nickname could be the hanger, the court could be the runway...etc. etc.
I thought that was really cool to hear.

That's so impressive! Talking about something that has not yet happened! I'm amazed.

Prior to an inbound pass from the sideline or baseline, players will sometimes gesture a playcall (holding their hands up to form a box or triangle).

That's sick dude. I really hope I see that. I actually chuckled out loud when I read that.

Adding my own little things to this, one of the coolest things i saw was my first game I used the 97-98 bulls, as I've wanted to use them since....97-98

Anyway, Jordan puts Bargnani on his *** with a crossover and reverse layup and 1 (barbosa fouled me after bargs got seated). Jordan, instead of walking over to the free throw line, goes to where Bargnani is on the ground, waits for him to get up, then puts his hand on his shoulder and starts saying something to him. Which to me looked like "it's cool man, I do that to everyone" or something similar. It was just really funny to see Jordans infamous trash talking and ego take shape in the game.
