Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

I'm playing as the Pacers and I'm in my first season and looking to move Danny Granger. I feel like I can manage just as well with him off the court as I can when he's on it, so I don't see the use of having him when I could probably shore up some other weaknesses on my team by dealing him. Personally I'm aiming for some picks and/or a solid defensive big man who can rebound.

    I came up with this...

    Pacers trade:
    Danny Granger

    Hornets trade:
    Emeka Okafor
    2012 1st Round Pick

Would that be a balanced trade? Suggestions?

Eh, it's hard for me to say, if it's at the beginning of the season, it's a definite no, losing Okafor really leaves them without a starting center, and while Okafor isn't amazing, he's not a scrub either, the other issue is Ariza, I don't know if I trust him at SG, and between Ariza and Granger that's a lot of money to have sitting on the bench for a small market team. As far as trade value goes, without the context of team, it's a pretty even trade, Okafor plays a scarce position, but is nearing decline, Granger plays a slightly loaded position and is peaking.

My suggestion is to try and three team it with someone and move Ariza for the Hornets for a similar two guard, I don't know what rosters you're playing with but someone like Marcus Thornton back in NO wouldn't be bad, but yeah, if could possibly swing a center and a SG to NO, for Ariza, I think it would work nicely, a C like Pryzbilla, or Dalembert, someone who is better as a backup but not a bad spot starter. better than Aaron Gray at least lol.

Hey guys i'm gonna start an Raptors association and wanna acquire Vlad Radmanovic from the Warriors, what would be a fair price to acquire him? Also what plays do you recommend for him?

I also wanna get rid of Bargnani and acquire an defensive center, who should i target?

        Thanks in advance!

          For Radmanovic:
I'm not sure what the contracts are looking like, but I'd say something like Alabi for Vlad straight up would be fair, or maybe a backup power forward.

As for plays to run, pick-n-pops with him are very effective.

Defensive centers you could look at would be Hibbert, Varejao or Dalembert.

I don't think so, no. Not only do the Hornets lose a pick that's probably going to be somewhere in the late teen's, which is still a good pick, they lose their starting center and one of the 2 centers they have on their roster.

They would get a great player in Danny Granger, and in terms of value the Hornets probably come out on top in this trade, but they still need a decent center.

Try making sure they will get a center, either through a three-team trade or something else, just so they don't create a huge hole in their roster, which would only add onto the mess that New Orleans has right now.

Radman for Evans straight up should work.
Hibbert is my favorite center to pick up in exchange for Bargs and normally take back Posey's contract and trade them someone else(can't remember who though), Otherwise I know Dallas likes a Leandro Barbosa/Kleiza for Chandler

I don't understand this trade at all lol. I don't think Dorell Wright and Ronnie Brewer are that much better than Bogans/McGrady that a mid-first round pick needs to be involved, but meh, nothing to terrible.

I am in year two of my Houston Rockets association and I just made this trade:

Houston traded: Gerald Wallace, Chris Wright(University of Dayton)
                  To
76ers for: Andre Iguodala, Jodie Meeks, and their 2012 2nd round pick.

One more center option would be Greg Oden. I have him in my Cavs franchise and he does a very good job of defending the paint and giving me a few points from the post.

To all of those Blazer users out there, I need to get rid of Brandon Roy. He has a huge contract, and is on his way out, and I can easily replace him with developing players like Wes Matthews and Jon Deibler.

I definitely need more inside presence as LA and Camby are my only bigs due to the fact that Oden was not resigned. Any input or thoughts on trades?

Sure why not. If u can, try to steal a second round pick. If you get 3 second picks, some teams will trade a first round pick and second round for them.

Better than the Blazer could get in real life. Shame Roy was great not to long ago. I think you should have included a future number 1 to make it fair.

Thanks for all of the feed back guys. I really could not decide if Patty Mills' trade value was high enough to not throw in another pick. He is definitely raw potential on the game.

I am messing around with an OKC association too. I decided to play a new angle with this one and start Maynor at the PG position and bump Westbrook to the SG. I am also looking to run with a really small rotation so that I can use each player effectively.

                                Here is the trade..

I receive: 2011 1st round Pacers, Dahntay Jones, Lance Stephenson

I trade: Thabo Sef.., Cole Aldrich, Dequaun Cooke, and B. Mullens( shipped the last 2 off to get them off the roster haha)

I almost didnt go with the 1st rounder. The thing is that it will probably end up about middle of the pack as the Pacers are rated highly. Aldrich gives them another young big behind Hibbert, and Thabo will jump over Rush, and atleast be a solid role player.

                                What do you guys think?
