Really with this trade, the Bobcats address by far their biggest hole. They get a young wing who has a lot of potential. They add Moe Williams' contract which is 8.5mill with a player option.

This trade shows the beginning of a new PG taking over in LA. Both E.Bledsoe and DJ Augistine have potential so they will have a year to both go at it and see who will take the reigns. Worst case for LA, both Boris and DJ are expirings so they can take over 12mill off the books this off season.

Thoughts? Does either team deserve a pick? I feel like Charlotte is deserving of one considering they gave up a quality player, and took on a potential 2 yr contract in Moe.
Sure it seems like a fair trade. One thing tho, are you playing with Kemba and maggette? if you are i dont recommend trading 4 a starting caliber pg...maybe get a center to replace kwame brown (deandre jordan?)

Sounds pretty fair, the only question I would have is what other SF do the Clippers have? If he's the only starting caliber one then no way they do that deal

Magic trade: Hedo Turkoglu '12 2nd rounder
Lakers trade: Ron Artest, Luke Walton, 13 1st rounder

Warriors get: Rashard Lewis, Nick Young, JaValee Mcgee 1st round pick
Wizards get: Monta Ellis, Andreis Biendrins, Al Thrnton, 13 2nd rounder

        2011 2nd round pick

        Clippers get:
        Brandon Wright
        Johan Petro
        Madden 25 - Steelers
Year 1 - 10-6 Lost in WC Round
Year 2 - 14-2 Lost in AFC Championship

Currently the Clippers have Ryan Gomes on the roster at SF but also have their MLE so they can sign a player to also fill in that gap. I feel like taking Moe off their hands will probably be critical in making this trade happen. Sure he is starting caliber, but with Kemba, he will be coming off the bench. Just like DJ. So that is literally a lateral toss. Gaining Aminu is another key to the future as his current contract has him locked in for 3 years.

Best case, Moe opts out of his player contract, and we ride Maggette's big contract out the following year along with 10mill devoted to Diop and Carrol. These three alone will free up over 20mill!! The year after that is my year to be big. With Kemba, Bismack, Aminu, and Tyrus, along with lotto picks developing, plus a likely big FA signing, the Bobcats will soon be contenders. This is a painful, slow, challenging process but with the right management, this team could peak and be great for years.

Its time to sim, and find out how things play out. I usually have one association I play and one I do the exact same moves with the same team, but sim ahead. I will post results.

          As for your trades...

I don't know enough about the players involved in trade 1 to say either way. However, trade 2 looks great. John Wall and Monta on the same team should be ****. That should be a lot of fun. What team are you?

Re: The Official Rate My Trade Thread

Check out this trade. Been playing this association since the beginning of the year so I was using preseason 2010-2011 rosters.

OKC gets: Maurice Speights, Elton Brand
PHI gets: Nenad Krstic, Jeff Green

By doing this I got rid of Krstic; whom I hate in the game and in real life. He really doesn't do anything for be besides hit the mid range J (Which Ibaka can do). Jeff Green doesn't really fit in our style of offense, and I wasn't going to have him come off the bench mainly because Ibaka is more of a prospect than anything. In the trade I got a veteran PF/C in Elton Brand, who, along with the growing, potential full Speights, will actually give me an inside scoring threat. I feel the rotation of Speights, Brand, Collison, and Ibaka is nearly lethal.

            Thoughts?

I like the thought of trying to improve the team. The Thunder are about one move away from being a favorite out west. The only thing I don't like about your trade is that the Cap space is definitely shot after absorbing Brand's contract. There is nothing wrong with Brand, but being as though you will have to resign Russel Westbrook and Speights( I think he has what 1yr contract or 2?) cap room is going to be needed.

What do you guys think of this trade?

              Knicks get: DeJuan Blair

              Spurs get: Landry Feilds

Knicks get a solid big who can crash the boards and bulk up the front court. The Spurs get a solid young shooter who can easily develop into a Manu replacement.

              Thoughts?

I'm neither but I felt bad for the Wizards always sucking so i figured I'd help them out a lil bit, along with that trade I did a 3 team deal sending them Joakim Noah so I could clear cap space and get Serge Ibaka They were like 1-5 now they're 6-6 as for the Warriors they now have probably the most athletic PF/C combo now with Tyrus Thomas and JaVale McGee

I'm really not sure about this for the spurs. Blair has a lot of potential IMO despite his size, and with Duncan and McDyess both aging, I don't think they really have a strong post presence once they become too old to produce. I'm not totally against trading Blair, but to trade him for a guard when SA already has Manu, and a young James Anderson, I would've probably tried to get a post man in return instead. Just my thoughts.

Thats a good point. The way I finally talked myself into it is that McDyess and Bonner are both locked up for 3yrs under contract. SA has a lot of faith that they can still produce for awhile. Plus Landry Feilds has a lot more potential the Anderson and can also play SF. This will come in handy too with RJ aging as well. Maybe a future 1st would seal this deal?

I saw where this was a trade rumor and thought it was interesting. What do you guys think of this trade?

                          Hawks get: Chris Kaman
                          Clippers get: Josh Smith

The Hawks are looking to get rid of Josh Smith, and this trade allows them to gain a center to allow Horford to slide over to his natural position in PF. The Clippers gain a solid SF to seal their lineup assuming DeAndre Jordan is their center of the future.

                          Thoughts?

I don't think it would. Wallace is a better defender, more athletic, Better rebounder, better contract and doesn't jack up a shot everytime he touches the ball and plus Portland just got him so I doubt they're trying to ship him out already. But then again if your prick is top 5 more i'd say maybe but outside of that I don't think they move him

Haha, just copied over this post because I convinced myself the same. No way is it realistic for Portland to part with Crash after his huge contributions to them in the playoffs last year. It is equally unrealistic for him to end up back in Charlotte. Charlotte is on the move, and if nothing else, MJ would want to keep new faces coming in as opposed to old ones for sake of the fan base. Not that we wouldn't love Crash back, but wasting resources to get him would be counter productive to what we are trying to do.

Thanks for the feed back! What do you think of the new trade I have proposed?

No way is it realistic for Portland to part with Crash after his huge contributions to them in the playoffs last year. It is equally unrealistic for him to end up back in Charlotte. Charlotte is on the move, and if nothing else, MJ would want to keep new faces coming in as opposed to old ones for sake of the fan base. Not that we wouldn't love Crash back, but wasting resources to get him would be counter productive to what we are trying to do.

Thanks for the feed back! What do you think of the new trade I have proposed?
When I first looked at it I was like no way, but thinking about it the Hawks get a Center who can get them 15 and 8 and a block, allows them to move Al Horford allows them to get bigger he's older and if they choose to resign he would be alot cheaper and I can't imagine them getting to much more from Josh Smith so I say it's a pretty fair deal
