Dang guys... ITS A GAME... this is not real life. No game is perfect there will be things the cpu does that doesnt make since but the same happens for you. runs happen in the nba just like they do on here.

Re: Examples of CPU Cheating...
sigh...you're NEW here. which points to the issue of you probably not knowing much about what you're talking about. this is the thread for CPU cheating...no problems with that? swell...kindly remove yourself to the thread about different color headbands or something...
thanks!NOTE: Any and ALL of my suggestions are specifically and only related to Play Now Online.Comment

Re: Examples of CPU Cheating...
A. You will always have to deal with the "physics of a video game" Every title is different.
B. What really needs fixed? It plays great for the masses now. 2K is not responsible to please the most die hard of it's players every whim. That's what the sliders, skill level, play books etc... are for. If you want the game to play a certain way it has the power to do that... within reason.
C. Why would 2K take the year off? They just made, arguably, one of the best sport titles of all time. Which absolutely caused EA to take a huge financial hit and cancel their NBA title this year. The console is not a problem. In fact the PS3 and the 360 are the two best consoles I've ever owned. And I've had almost all of them back to the Commodore 64. BTW Analyst are saying 2 to 3 more years for current Gen. systems.Comment

Re: Examples of CPU Cheating...
I don't care what the detractors say, there is definitely "cheating" programmed into the game. I played two consecutive games on Superstar earlier. 12 minute quarters, default sliders, clutch factor off. In both games, I was only down by one at the half, only to have the CPU blow me out in the 3rd quarter. It's like clockwork. How am I able to hold my own in the first half, but totally lose it in the 2nd half?
I know what some are going to say, "Mos1ted, it happens in real life" True it does happen in real life, but that's because the other team loses focus or careless or something like that. But trust me, that is not what happened to me. The CPU gets ramped up for whatever reason; can't miss a shot regardless of how well I play defense. I'm getting hands in guys faces and Paul Pierce goes 100% from the field hitting fadeaways and things like that after going like 2 for 9 in the first half. It's frustrating because I like Superstar....in the first half. I hate how it plays in the second half.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment

Re: Examples of CPU Cheating...
i'm beginning to see a pattern here. all-star and above = hax!!! well maybe superstar and hof.
personally i play on all-star, tweaked sim, and i often notice how the game feels out of my control, and that i'm merely going through the motions.
i don't see too many WTF moments (maybe because i'm not playing at superstar or hof), but every single game i do see end-to-end touchdown passes, no charging, fuked up block/rebound animations against me etc etc lol
whatever until maybe a patch is released, we should all play at all-star or below. and start cheating ourselves lol i used to take control of the cpu every time they made a touchdown pass and i'd step out of bounds, but now i just go back to midcourt and give back control
its a game dont fight about it dont get stressed about it!!! have fun

Re: Examples of CPU Cheating...
I totally agree Mos1ted!
It is like clockwork on superstar. I wouldn't mind if that happens from time to time or against top teams, but in my association it happened 9 out of 10 times. I like superstar better, but I moved back to allstar.
2k11 is the best BBgame ever! The "cheats" make i unnecessarily difficult. What's the point of having 5 difficulty levels when most people, even veterans and hardcore players, play on pro and allstar?
I think the "cheats" belong to last gen games and badly produced games to generate difficulty. But 2k11 is clever and doesn't need such things, so just leave it out.Comment

Re: Examples of CPU Cheating...
I don't get it.
The first level, I'm WAY faster, I'm eating up Dots like nobody's business, and when I eat the Power Pill, the Ghosts stay blue FOREVER! I'm able to get all four of them, no problem!!
But six or seven levels later, I'm eating the Power Pill, and they just blink and keep coming!!!!
And they are WAY faster!!!

Re: Examples of CPU Cheating...
I can deal with All-Star/Sim. It's a happy medium for me. I just lost as the Raptors versus the Heat on All-Star/Sim; I got whooped by 23. I thought it was a well deserved L because I admittedly played very sloppy that game. I guess pyschologically, I play more carefully on Superstar because I'm mindful of the fact that it's Superstar, and I know I have to bring my A game to beat the A.I. I guess I just have to bring that same mindset into All-Star and just live with that. The cheating on Superstar and above is not a good trade off for me. I guess I'm just too used to previous titles where All-Star was laughable to me, and this year it seems to be a legitimate difficulty setting with the right sliders.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment
