2k has its share of problems, but it is by far and away the best sports game put out this year.

The bumping doesn't bother you because you cant get rid of that using sliders. The sliding doesn't bother you as well? Please guys don't say the players in the game dont slide because they do. 2k has other problems like The terrible blocking animations and various other thing but the sliding, bumping and terrible defensive AI almost makes me put the game down but I love BB! LOL

And if you can get rid of the bumping let me know how!!!! Dont be stingy lol

Mediocre compared to what?

As of now the only gameplay issues i can come up with that cant be fixed with sliders is pass trajectory, ability to decide what pass you want to do, the speed burst given on passing lane steal attempts, running the lanes and offensive rebounds.

The gameplay has lots of depth and variety, which is great. But I believe it's missing fundamental elements that make a game great. It's like they baked a nicely decorated cake but they forgot the baking powder. That's why I feel it's mediocre.

I feel u on that, its like 4 example when players get tired and have 1 bar and its like D wade or Kobe, They still run the same speed, can still dunk, they may miss a few but they are still major threats. Another example the baseline drive exploit, all you have to do is go on right side of baseline and the players seem to never help. Its been like that for years but you can still do it. Skip pass across court, from one end of the 3 point line to the other, there are defenders in between but you throw a chest pass instead of up and over. Alot of small stuff that has been around for years that gets ignored. OH YEAH, WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SEEN DWADE KOBE OR LEBRON LOSE THE DRIBBLE WHEN THE USER JUST POUND THE PAINT??????ME NEITHER

Actually players dont run the same speed when tired, they get slower, attempt and miss more lay-ups, and jumpshots are harder.

I just lost the ball today in practice with LeBron, and i u want it to happen more decrease the ball-handling slider.

Increase the help slider for more help. I have my help strength slider at 70 and have increased many team help sliders to replicate the NBA which is more about effective team D rather than stonewall man on man D.

And the pass you described gets tipped for the most part in my experience. If you are playing on sim, the 25 steal success will lower the amount tips and catches on steals.

If 2k11's gameplay is mediocre, then a "good" NBA game hasnt been made yet...Id like to know what basketball game out there isnt missing some "basic fundamentals".....funny what you tend to "see past" based on preference....

There are reasons why they are the best players in the NBA.

You can keep them in check for some portions of the game. But all your posts expect you to be able to do this for 48 mins.

And if 2k implements the ridiculous "losing the ball in the paint" garbage that Live had last year, I and many others will be furious. It was absolutely ridiculous last year, so much that people started playing on lower difficulties just to avoid it.

Maybe the settings in your league should be what you look at, not for 2k to fix something that isn't broken.

Yes I am naming the 3 best players because when people want to cheese you can just dribble all game with these guys, if you dribble into 3 guys constantly and never lose the dribble its a problem. I'm not saying they need to fumble it away all the time but I would like to some balance.. Also Just because you are the best player in the league doesn't mean you have the best handles. Remember Lebron in the "Delontes humping my mom" game when he turned the ball over 10 times? Thats all i'm saying..

So that has to do with ratings for the top rated guys.

When you break down these issues, there's still an answer. Turnovers can be from many different areas. It doesn't have anything to do with every time I go in the paint I lose my dribble.

Again you can compensate for this a bit by adjusting your settings. If you have a possible solution, why do you keep repeating the problem instead of trying the solution?

Can you imagine if the developers just kept telling you you're not playing the game right and not listening to you? They DO listen to you, it's evident here if you've been around long enough. Return the favor.

I haven't played Live since the mid-nineties. So I can't exactly comment on that.

But what I will say is that Amare Stoudamire averaged two-and-a-half turnovers per game last year and one assist. Kendrick Perkins averaged two and one. Samuel Dalembert averaged one-and-a-half and not even an assist (0.8). Not to mention Dwight, who is a turnover machine.

How do you think they are turning the ball over? Do they strike you as big assist guys who just throw bad passes? Is every single one of their turnovers a strip?

They are losing the ball either in the paint or making moves in the post. And to tie that in with Iso moves (of which I use none, of which Samuel Dalembert maybe uses one every 20 games) is not solving the lack of non-steal, non-errant pass turnovers in the game.

I'm all for a slider that will eliminate it for anyone who dislikes it. But it needs to be put in the game somehow, someway.

See the previous post. With the right settings, your big men lose the ball if defended well.

The "problem," as has been the same thing discussed here ad-nauseam over the years, has a solution.
