They have Griffin at an 85 now! Remember OVR doesnt mean that much!
Im surprised they didnt touch his vertical or layup rating though.
There's no way D. Howard should be a 79 if Blake is only a 65 layup.
His vertical should be higher than an 83 too.
2k didnt touch his defensive ratings from what I saw. His on ball defense is still only like a 57. Speed, Quickneess, Low post attributes, Free Throw, Shot Close, Dunk were raised for sure.
As far as Aldridge getting the best of him... LA had a great game and is having a great season in his own right. However, the Clippers looked pretty tired after jumping out of the gate pretty fast on Portland. Playing their 4th game in 5 nights takes its toll. Not to mention Griffin and Gordon played 44 minutes w/ Grif playing the whole 2nd half. Besides, Portland is still the better, more experienced team and should win at the Rose Garden. Its not that the Clippers dont play defense, its the fact that their bench is still very young, not very deep, and lacking defensively. Their starting 5 is a decent defensive unit with D. Jordan anchoring the middle. The Clippers turn the ball over way too much. That is their biggest problem. The Clippers are 19th in points allowed per game and 29th in turnovers per game.Comment

I was playing with Blake and it felt nowhere close to the real thing, so I upped his ball handling ability, ball security, speed, and quickness. Feels right now, he's still a little awkward with the ball sometimes and loses control once in a while but that's how it should be. His overall went up to an 88 but I really don't think that matters much.
Gotta agree with this guy. Don't just watch the highlights, that's not the true story of the game. You gotta watch him play, and I mean the entire game, several times, then you will know he does all of these things and at a very high level as well.Last edited by Freak123; 01-24-2011, 02:58 PM.Comment

I don't know about that. They have established themselves as superstars with multiple great seasons, and wade has a ring. Sure Griffin has had an amazing two months but that's not enough to say he is NBA elite yet I don't think.Comment

People aren't being that ridiculous about it, so that was unnecessary really. An 85 to an 88 is ridiculous for a player who can play like him? I don't think so myself. It's not quite a superstar rating but it's an all-star's rating, which is what he is, an all-star. Really, an 85 to an 88 is spot on for what this kid is doing. If he starts doing worse, which I highly doubt, you can just lower his ratings. Rating are there to make it feel like how the player is playing in real life right now, not a month ago or a month from now.

Like, you can say what you want about the clippers, but the clippers have sucked since before I was born and will probably never get better. I'd love to see - CP3, anthony, stoudamire, griffon just tear up the heat every single year until lebron retires. That would give me great pleasure.Comment

Not exactly terrible. 12-5 in their last 17 games. 4 of the wins against the Lakers, Miami, Chicago, and Denver. If they keep that pace up, which I doubt they will, they are looking at a 44/45 win season. Yep, absolutely terrible.Comment
