The internet is so funny, I just find it hilarious that online (on a videogame site for that matter) people will comment on thigs they know absolutley nothing about, I mean seriously, im 99% sure very few of you actually watch basketball enough to make the comments yall be making, if you get your NBA knowlege from ESPN then you should not comment on basketball subjects at all, period.

Griffin has been by far the most impressive rookie since probally Shaq, none of the superstars in the league had a rookie season like BG is having right now (minus Shaq), to top it off, none of the PF's in the league can do what BG does on the court, skill for skill you can say that so and so is better at this or that right now (a specific skill) but there is not one big in the league who is as good/great in as many things as BG, none, point blank period. It would not be a stretch at all saying BG is the best PF in the league right now, not true, but he is just as good as any 4 in the L, and this is as a rookie. Starting a franchise right now, the only people who should be CONSIDERED going ahead of BG (age is a major factor of course)

      1. Lebron
      2. Durant
      3. Rose
      4. Dwight (dude is not as dominant as the media makes it seem, I would not take Dwight over BG), in an era with no quality Centers let alone good or great ones, he is an average offensive player if that. In 2011 from the C spot I want a defensive big who does not care for touches if I had the option to draft other players, I would not take Dwight over Wade, Paul, D Will, maybe Westbrook, with all the players I have mentioned you could get a defensive big in later rounds for the defensive purposes, give me a Deandre Jordan (another reason why the Clipps have been playing so well) Joakim Noah, Javele Mcgee, Emeka Okafor, Serg Ibaka, ect. Im not at all saying they are anywhere near Dwights level, but since I would have the opportunity to add these dudes to my team I def would not take Dwight over a lot of other plyers. Dwight is just not good enough on both ends to draft over a dominant offensive player who can play solid/good D, thats just me though, im sure a lot will disagree.

Sorry for the rant, but I dont think people realize that Blake Griffin has dominated the game on a consistant basis, I think he had 1 bad game all season and he still had 14-11-3 or something like that, do yall not notice his consistancy against good and bad teams, he has dominated great players and great teams. Anybody sitting here saying the Clippers are a horrible team needs to STFU, seriously, they started horribly cause they had injuries, but since BD has been back and healthy they have been one of the best teams in the league, him and BG's chemistry has turned them into a good team, it will be tough for them to make the playoffs cause of the bad start but they def can, if the season started today with the Clipps chemistry where it is at today, they would be a top 5 seed in the West. Watch the game fellas, ESPN can only tell you so much.

Thats the thing, the Clippers are a very good team as a whole, their starting 5 has every stregnth you need to be a top 5-10 team in the league, they started the season horribly, injured and the chemistry was not there, right now they are balling and are just as good if not better than every team battling for a 5-8 seed on any confrence, anybody saying the Clippers are horrible obviously knows nothing about them and has not watched games.

Can you read bruh, I said that I, not you or not majority opinion,I said that I would take BG over Dwight, I, ME, this dude right here posting here, I never said he was better than Dwight, point that out to me and your post will matter, SMH.

Damn reading comprehension is bad on the internet, I would not build a franchise around Dwight Howard, meaning I would pick other just as good/better players over Dwight, why, cause you can fill that role with a player that ONLY plays defense ala Deandre Jordan, Joakimm Noah ect. Please show me where I said he was a better player than Dwight, if not then there was absolutley no point of your post, good looks anyways though man.

Basketball comprehension is very low if one thinks Noah and DeAndre Jordan is on the same level of Howard defensively.

Orlando went The Finals based on Dwight's DEFENSE.

they just did a living roster update yesterday and he came in as a 85... and he played just like he does but not as fast as he is. he is easily the fastest big man in the game. and if you have you been watchin his games lately he is starting to become more than just a dunker. he has been hittin a few threes, and sizin up guys and doin step back 18 footers. kid can play

Re: What should Blake Griffin be rated?

Blake is having a great rookie season.. probably the best from a PF that we have seen in a long time. 2k rated him an 85 in the update and really didnt touch his defense while raising many offensive attributes. Blakes defense is lacking but his offense and physical attributes are what makes him an 85.

I think that his layup, pass, and vertical are still too low. If Dwight Howard's layup is a 79 I dont see how Griffin couldnt be on par with that. PF Josh Smith has a 67 passer rating and Blakes is only in the 40s. It should be between 60-65(Smith and Blake are both averaging 3.5APG this year). His vertical is only an 83... it should be in the 90s.

Other than that I like how they updated him and I think its very accurate.
His handles, speed and quickness are good where they are. Hes not Lamar Odom or Lebron James. He's a power player with amazing quickness.

They may have kept his vertical low so he doesn't get more blocks. The same with his passing, so he stays aggressive.

I can understand the argument for vertical especially with his height.
However, staying aggressive has nothing to do with his ability to make a good pass. If Josh Smith has a pass rating of 67 than I dont see anything wrong with BG's pass being a 60-65. There are a few other big men on 2k that need a pass boost IMO. Duncan, Horford, K. Love, the Gasol brothers and Scola are the ones that I think need it most. All of these guys are very good passers for their size and should be in the low 60s IMO.

I wouldn't say he is just "hot" he has been doing good all year. Except last night I think the Mavs frustrated him. After the first qtr they changed the way they were guarding him mixing in double teams and really pressuring him only had 10 points in three qtrs and was obviously frustrated.

He has been going crazy don't get me wrong. Some people in this thread have gone as far to say he's the best PF in the league. This rookie has improve all of his numbers every single month in the league. But like I said... some of ya are just going a little too nuts about it.
