Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
Wizards were a joke. But to say there was no one in the East is kind of....( I don't want to say stupid.... Someone fill it in with another word lol). But you know what I mean. They beat the Pistons who had won the East 2 years in a row before (beat the LA in the Finals and lost to Spurs the year before in game 7). To call it a "cake walk" (as I've heard over the years). Would take away from every team that has won the finals or conference over the years. People can make the argument for the Lakers the last 3 years. "That because they play in the West. They don't play any strong team until they get to the finals."
I've heard this over and over again. Regardless of what is said. LeBron James went to the Finals.
New Jersey wasnt a threat that year 41-41
Detroit - was the Ben Wallace-less Chris Webber team
All three werent powerhouses at all. Just sayin.Comment

Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
This has already been argued 124818652138 times. Lebron's team and system was completely built around him. The Lakers are built on a Triangle Offense and Kobe happens to be the best player that plays within that offense. He's a great fit there. He'd be a terrible fit in Cleveland.kobe bryant best player on team, 2nd best pau gasol, result: champions.. lebron best player on team, mo freakin williams 2nd best player result: u already know.. oh and without bron the same cavs teams record is what exactly? take kobe off the lakers right now and they are still a playoff team, 'nuff said
LeBron was perfect for Cleveland because they were built for him. He probably wouldn't do very well in LA right now given how bad Kobe's teammates are playing since LeBron's game is based on his ability to slash and create for teammates. Obviously if you build a team of role players that complement a superstar, when you take that superstar away, and then take away their best player (Mo Williams has been hurt for a longgggg time), obviously the team is going to suck. That's common sense.
With the way that Gasol, Artest, and the other role players not named Lamar Odom are playing right now, no, they would not be a playoff team without Kobe.NFL: Bills

Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
I understand what you are saying to a certain point, but when you compare the two, the western conference division is a much tougher division than the East, which is why a lot of people were happy when Miami won in 2004 even if they weren't a fan of the Heat simply because they were happy a team from the East finally won that piece of hardware. And if you were to put the Cavaliers in the West with Lebron, I think they would win a playoff series but going deep into the playoffs not likely. Last year a lot of those teams in the East had some bad records... Heck I was surprised to see the Bucks in the playoffs, and yes, for teams like that it's not a cake walk to make or even make it past the first round of the playoffs, you even had teams in the West that finished with a good amount of games above 500 and still didn't make the playoffs. I'm not trying to take away Lebrons talent or anyone else from the elite teams in the East but you have to admit they do have it a little easier, not by much but they do.But to say there was no one in the East is kind of....( I don't want to say stupid.... I apologize for not staying on topic for the title of this thread but if I had to choose for a player to use in 2k I would probably choose Kobe, because I think it would be more of a challenge vs Lebron who you can pretty much do whatever you want, which is probably why he got the nickname "video game James".

Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
I'm just trying to get my head around the whole "Lebron quit" thing. He had a bad game 5 in that series, I'll give you that, but so did his teammates. Did the whole organization quit or do teams get stomped sometimes?
Then in the deciding game 6, the one where all hope is lost and he "quits", he drops 27 points, 19 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and a block.
Can you imagine what stats he would produced if he had "tried"?Comment

You should watch that series again. Check his demeanor. Its a wrap.I'm just trying to get my head around the whole "Lebron quit" thing. He had a bad game 5 in that series, I'll give you that, but so did his teammates. Did the whole organization quit or do teams get stomped sometimes?

Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
I actually have watched the series over and over and over again with friends. I have all 6 games on my PS3. And untill this day. I don't see what everyone is talking about. "Quit" is just the wrong. It's like people didn't see the defense the Celtics were playing either. I think people have been spoiled by LeBron's career. It might have been the second time he looked "human" to the world (the other time was vs the Spurs in the finals). Even when I look at the stats to the games. I can't believe people have it in their head that he quit.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Maybe he didn't quit then. Maybe he was just frustrated to the point of not trying to do the things he does in every other game.I actually have watched the series over and over and over again with friends. Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
the easiest way to answer this question (at least for 2k) is to say who would u want in the 4th or 5th season of an association? a 31 yr old king or a 37 yr old jordan wannabe? (sorry couldnt resist lol) i ask that question is that for the frist 2 or 3 yrs they are basically evenComment

Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
Not really. I don't think the question was "Which guy would you want on your team in 2k11 in 5 years for association mode?" It was just which guy would you rather have in 2k11. For quick games, online games, or an individual season, I'd rather have Kobe for sure. Obviously after like 10 years in association, Lebron is the choice between the two.the easiest way to answer this question (at least for 2k) is to say who would u want in the 4th or 5th season of an association? a 31 yr old king or a 37 yr old jordan wannabe? Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
i understand why u feel that way i do but from a lot of what ive read people play more than one year of an association (or at least simulate them lol).. but in the first year or even second year they are essentially the same (without any updates im assuming they are both 97ovr).. the question makes it sound like who would you want if you were doing a fantasy draft, so i guess thats why i said lebronComment

Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
You put Lebron with those guys and he still puts up 25-7-7 and Kobe with Mo Williams, Jamario Moon, Anthony Parker, an old Shaq, Jamison, and he might be called a quitter too. Lebron was only going to drag that joke of a supporting cast so far. Sorta reminds me of when Kobe had Smush, Kwame Brown, etc. Where did he take those guys no where. If greatness is measured by rings then a superstar is only as great as his supporting cast will allow him to be.
If both were rookies at the same time I take Kobe in game and real life. At this point in their careers I take Lebron.BCS Express - TCU (yr 1 12-1)(yr 2 10-2)

Re: Who would you take LeBron or Kobe?
I'm so confused by this post. You make an argument for why LeBron is better, even though his supporting cast was FAR superior to Kobe's when Kobe had Smush and Kwame and Chris Mihm and Brian Cook and then say if they were the same age, you'd take Kobe? You put Lebron with those guys and he still puts up 25-7-7 and Kobe with Mo Williams, Jamario Moon, Anthony Parker, an old Shaq, Jamison, and he might be called a quitter too. Honestly, taking the Smush Kwame Mihm Lakers to a 45-37 record in the West is more impressive to me than LeBron taking a 2-1 lead against the Celtics and then folding up like a beach chair.NFL: Bills
