If they put out a full feature demo, they might get some casual b ball fans to buy the game.
Yeah, and the biggest problem is not being able to adjust the difficulty. It's hard to force yourself to play real ball when every jumpshot is a swish.

        A few notes:
        GOOD
        - I love the Presentation even though it doesn't have the animated intros from The Clippers Celtics Video.
        - the player models look even more spectacular than before, I can really see EVERY Tattoo from all the players, and the facial expressions , realistic look , and texture is so sweet.
        - The signature style got even BETTER than in 2K11 which i didn't think was possible, Yeah, I though Maybe they otta put a few more sig jumpers in there but now there is 4 Sig gather shots, and all of dirks moves look like the real Dirk.
        - Rebounding feels so much more realistic now , and I don't think I've seen more than a few times when a Box out was Magically broken.
        - Dunks are obviously improved. Slam cam is awesome.
        - I don't feel cheated when I get schooled, I feel satisfied and use it to my advantage on the next defensive possession.
        - The post game is better than I ever could've thought of ever imagining ever.
        - Iso-Motion smooths together a lot better.

        BAD
        - .... Uhm... There isn't any.

This game is incredible. I can't wait to play the Full version and play the real game modes.

CPU AI is so life-like and intelligent...i love how the CPU now shows RESTRAINT. it doesn't just pull up for bad jumpers because it wants to shoot...now it will hang back and keep probing for an opening.

scoring in the paint is not easy...dunks are much more rare now...if there are defenders in the paint, you're probably going to get a contact layup, not an exaggerated dunk on animation.

i have the ps3, and i just wanted to ask. Mike said in the control blog, that we will be able to backpadel and try and steal the ball at the same time, but i just played the demo 3 times and tried to do it and the steals are still the same. Is it because this is not the final game shipping or is this going to be the same as last year?

The anticipation sound from the crowd during a shot isn't in ps3 version. In general, crowd sounds better imo in 360 and more realistic...ps3 crowd sounds a bit over the top.

Id like to know this too. Specifically the Double Shimmy. The controls say: While posted up quickly move the RS to the player's left or right, to the opposite side, then back again.

When I do this I get the up and under.

The only thing I don't like is how frequently the CPU takes and makes shots off the glass. They do it a lot and is really unstoppable. Other than that, AWESOME.

The more play time I get with the demo, the more amazing this game feels.

Collisions are a game-changer. 2K finally got it right this year and it lends to quite a dynamic feel when guys are driving to the hoop. It almost seems like there are no specific mo-capped layups... I'm seeing new ones each time due to the seamless shot adjustments.

Jump shots feel much, much better. Pulling up of the dribble and shots on the move laterally are without hitches like last year.

The ball is live. You can dribble off guys feet accidentally, shot blocking is more natural and hands up defense actually has meaning.

My pet peeve in 2K11 of guys coming off screens and ending up behind the 3pt line majority of the time(even non-3pt shooting PF's and Centers) has been corrected.

The AI is amazing. The computer did some moves against me that I'd save as highlights if I could. Your teammates move more intelligently without the ball and defensive rotations are more educated on both sides.

Dribbling feels more controlled, fast breaks are great on both ends, the post game is AMAZING and much, much more. I really think 2K has absolutely nailed gameplay this year.

At a glance you might say its better, but personally i prefer the color pallette of the ps3 version, it just looks more realistic, where the xbox version looks sort of cartoony because of the bright colors. Last year i said if they bring the ps3 version graphically to the level of xbox and keep the color pallette, it would be the best looking one for me, looks like 2k might have done that this year. either way i don't think ps3 players have much to worry about this year.

Same thing happens to me. Actually a shimmy up and under. And the only other problem I encountered is that if I fake while in the post I lose my pivot.

Were the new defensive additions present in the demo or is it only accessible with the complete game? They said they changed something?
