Is it just me or is there a marked improvement in graphics for the PS3 version this year?

and lets face it everyone is not going to be in Love with 2K12. We all want something different from our gaming experience.
At least someone besides me who gets it. This is an issue with forums imo is if someone says something negative they get attacked. I wish people were more mature and could admit their faults. Reason is always good. Then again I'll probably be banned in 5 seconds for saying this with no explanation lol never to be able to post again just because people don't know me.

You are a cool dude Czar. Every time I've read to your posts I can tell.

I will definitely say the 360 version looks noticeably better, appears to be clearer than the PS3 version. The PS3 is using a much better anti-aliasing method than 2K11, that said, it does cause some slight blur, compared to the 360 version, hard to discern. The PS3 is using a softer color pallete compared to the 360, honestly I prefer the color spectrum more so on the PS3 than the 360, looks more natural and less cartoon like. They did much better on the PS3 this year than last - it also has DTS vice DD 5.1 for the 360. I preordered the 360, though I would be more than happy with either one.
repped, for those wondering which version to pick up, this describes what i did and found the same results. xbox version is sharper and brighter colors. ps3 looks to have slightly lower resolutioin, but no jaggies and the color scheme looks more like real life. both run at 60fps with no hitches. this year the deciding factor should be where your friends play. for those with only a ps3, no worries, 2k stepped up this year it seems and have delivered a great port. good job 2k from someone who mainly games on ps3.

jaggies are much much better on ps3 this year. I was still disappointed to see the boxy crowds again though. It's weird cause the crowds looks great until the game starts, then they go boxy like years past on ps3. Makes no sense.

Did they take contested jumpers out. It looks kinda weird wen its no difference in jumpers no matter the defense.

Finally got a chance to play this. I am very happy with the game! I'm already having fun more than 2K11. The collisions are great! The best in the business!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions, no disrespect, but I believe some people on this thread wouldn't be impressed if the demo made Dirk come out of their TVs and give them basketball lessons.

I would rather working with his shooting coach than Dirk himself.

Yea i didn't see any contested jumpers either... I do like the branch crossovers and the ability to do a dribble pull up then all of sudden change it wen u see the defender timing the block. Looks rrreeeeaaalll ggggooooodddd. Can't wait til da 4th already going crazy lol. When's the next insight??? If I'm not mistaken we get 2 more right??

From what I've seen, they contested jumpers are gone, but not completely. For example, with Lebron and Dirk, I've seen 3 different set shots each. If you go back to 2k7 and look at Dirk's signature shot there, it's a stand still in this game. Along with that, there is the Dirk shot that everyone says they like so much and one more, but it's seen more rarely.

I think the contested jumper was replaced more by a pull up jumper.

Might I say, the escape shots are awesome! Standing still at the three point line and hold LT and move the right stick in any direction, it works perfect. The best part, if you just tap the stick and don't actually do the shot, you don't even lose your dribble. Great innovation!

I am in no way struggling using the players to be good , my problem is with how it feels . Too much animation not enough control . I go 1 direction have to wait a second to go another . just strips any quickness away a player might have. Its almost as if you play with built in lag .
Hey if you guys love it im happy for you . I know im not alone here in saying the dribbling passing and overall movement can be alot better .
Again im not comparing it to last year , it has improved but to me the basic mechanics and movement engine leave a lot to be desired imo .

That's how I've felt about b-ball and maddens for years now. S**t, The Show too (with those fielding animations) Once those long *** animations kick in, you might as well put down the controller and take a drink or something.

About to try the demo now.
