Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread

I'm in my last month of my first season and my Lakers team looks completely different. The starting lineup is Mike Conley ,Kobe,Artest,Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah. We don't have shannon brown,matt Barnes,or lamar any more but we do have Roy Hibbert as a back up for Noah.

I saw a few people ask this but haven't seen a definitive answer... is it possible to play with an edited roster so you're playing alongside the real draftees?

yeah the trades are ridiculous in my player, that and the other team seem to never miss and everyone is ray allen from three

I'm a couple months into My Player mode, and I'm the only rookie in the league except for Ricky Rubio and some guy on the Thunder...

What happened to all the fake drafted players?

Im almost 20 games deep with the clips, but Im thinking about starting a new one with a custom roster that has the other rookies. Even if theyre not spot on, i atleast want teams like the cavs and bobcats to have some direction. I just noticed that none of the rookies from the showcase are actually in the game.lol
Another thing thats missing...anyone do the training camp off ball offense drill with ray allen and larry bird. Is there any way to use these controls in My Player???

You do it the same way as in the drill. It brings up the camera control but you can still perform the moves.

Is it just me or in this years my player everyone is a 3pt shooter? I ask this because when I was playing their was a center with the 3pt logo..

Started My Player as a 6'4 All-Around SG. I could have done a lot better in the Rookie Showcase but I was getting used to the game at that point. I got interviewed by Indiana, Houston, and New York and ended up getting drafted by Houston at 14.

I'm 14 games in and already the Rockets have traded Kevin Martin and Gordan Dragic for Tony Parker. Few days later, we got rid of Louis Scola and Kyle Lowry for Chauncy Billups and Tony Douglas I have no idea why we need 2 starting caliber point guards but still need 6'6 Chuck Hayes holding i down in the paint.

I was moved into the starting SG slot and ended up getting Rookie of the Month. Doesn't mean much when I'm practically the only rookie. Im having problems on defense. I cant seem to stay in front of anyone. My player feels sluggish and a step slow all the time. I miss the Triangle button from 2k11. Not that I overused it but come on, I now have to preform a Mortal Kombat finishing sequence to pull off a spin move? Anyway, I'm just using this as practice until there is a more official roster or patch. I need to redo all the player's shoes and accessories anyway.

the shooting stats for this years 3 pt specialist build are insane. and also the speed is pretty good as well, where as if you do lets say athletic you get amazing speed, but your shots are just horrible. and when starting off and trying to earn skill points, i would rather be able to shoot and score points than run fast

every1 is a 3pt shooter....smh...i've upped the level, playing on SIM and they still knock down ALL shots.....I lost 1 game by 35 in my player against the t wolves because Telfair, Love, Johnson, Beasley, Webster, Ridnour, all have 3pt symbols....and don't miss.....

Last year unless you scored 60 a game, you had a good chance of losing since your teammates would just stand around for the most part. And good luck consistently racking up assists since even the best players would miss shots on a constant basis.

If they fixed this, I will be buying this game...if not, I won't.

I really only play My Player.

I never had that issue. I was leading league in assists from rookie year on in 2k11. But I haven't touched my player yet this year been addicted to legends

I have pg who out rebound me or jump over me for rebounds like wtf

How do I call for an ally oop? I keep getting bounce passes when an alley would be better and cooler. Does anyone still say cool? I'm getting old.
