I can understand that, but the Rockets have the 5th or 6th worst record in the league, and Jordan Hill's morale is down to 0. I can exchange Hill for Dalembert though...I might could remove Kyle Lowry from the deal and find someone else off of the Rockets to use.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
In my Raptors season I am thinking before the first game I may trade Forbes and/or Johnson for a young SF that I would try to have been a longterm starter. If I trade both I may just sign Kirilenko for the year to start and have the new guy be a backup for a year. But here are some SF's I am considering.
Jordan Hamilton (DEN) - Im watching D-League right now and he is there, so I feel if Denver isnt using him, and I liked him a lot in college (even as a Mizzou student), and he could be a nice scorer in the league and for Toronto at the 3.
Jan Vesely (WASH) - I like him as well, and being European he fits the Raptors typical player, who I originally wanted them to draft over Valanciunas (Im glad they didnt now though). He doesnt play much for the Wiz and I could see him being a solid SF
Michael Beasley (MIN) - I doubt I do this, but even though he is a good player for them, I dont think he will be there next year and maybe be traded this year. He could be a nice, more developed replacement as my SF.
Tyler Honeycutt (SAC) - Another rookie, he probably isnt the best choice for a future starter, but I like him and he is athletic and I like the potential he could have.
Most likely I will get one of those 4 SFs. I originally thought about just getting Harrison Barnes in the draft, but I cant guarentee I will be bad enough to get him, and if Im not top 3 he will probably be gone. Plus, I like Myck Kabongo (another Longhorn and a Canadian) as a potential future PG for my team when I know I will be getting rid of Calderon. I guess Ill look to see what I can do soon though and update once it happensComment

i dont understand people like you. association mode is not meant to mirror real life. it starts out with the real life rosters(or a fantasy draft) and each team makes moves to try to improve their team. so of course they sign free agents and make trades, i dont understand what you expected.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
it just seems like your expectations of what should happen in association mode are pretty far off.
if you dont want teams to make moves to their roster then you have 2 choices:
1)control all 30 teams and make the roster moves manually as they happen in real life
2)dont play association modeComment

do you really expect to start an association and have no teams sign free agents, especially in a season where a lot of decent free agents are still available due to the lock out?

My only expectation was to get a simple answer as to why I was experiencing the things that I mentioned if someone could.
Correction I mentioned it about playing season mode in my 2nd post.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
I am the timberwolves considering this trade. gallinari is on the trade mill.
Timberwolves give: M. Beasley, A. Tolliver
Nuggets give: Gallinari, 12 1st rounder, K. Koufos
Should I add another pick?
IS this fair/realistic. I traded away pekovic and barea for R. Brewer and K. Korver.
ThanksComment

Just because you have a bad record doesn't mean that you trade cheap, young talent. It would be fair if the Rockets didn't trade Kyle Lowry and got a couple of first rounders.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
0-2 In my Raptors franchise. Before my first game I traded Gary Forbes for Jordan Hamilton. There were picks in that trade as well. I got rocked by Philly in the first game, and lost a sim to the Cavs in the 2nd.
I just cannot shoot in this game. I feel compared to the past years the shooting has gotten much worse and harder to tell whether you are actually releasing at the correct time or not. That flash under the players that goes off telling you when to release is BS Ive never had it benefit me. Anyway, I rely on scoring in the paint, but it doesnt help when I get blocked 16 times (again, another thing wrong).
I shouldnt have won that game anyway, but its frusterating when I am not even in the game after the first quarter and cant shoot my way back in it. I was able to in the association i had a few weeks ago, but based on that first game I cant rely on it. Most of the top free agents have signed with a team already, but I am thinking of signing Gilbert Arenas if he is availabe, and I would start him off the bat and that would give me reason to trade Calderon sooner rather than later.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
So my Association is set
TRADES:
Jazz Receive: Toney Douglas, Timofey Mozgov, Jeremy Lin, 12 2nd Round Pick (DEN)
Knicks Receive: Raja Bell, 13 1st Round pick (UTA)
Nuggets Receive: Shelden Williams, 12 2nd Round Pick (UTA)
Benefits Jazz: Jazz have only two PG's (Tinsley isn't in game) and both are getting older, to really have a youth movement, we need younger players, and two young PG's and a C to build will help the movement.
Benefits Knicks: Knicks toss two of their plethora of PG's having four, and gain a shooting guard that they need, the main bait of this trade was the pick, Jazz are in a rebuilding mode, so the pick will certainly be higher than theirs.
Benefits Nuggets: Not much of a difference, a swap between two mediocre players, with a swap of 2nd round draft picks, the Jazz draft pick also is probably a bit higher than Denvers.
Free Agent Signings
Jazz sign Manny Harris to 2 year plus team option
Jazz sign Leon Powe to 2 year plus team option
D-Leagued!
Jeremy Evans and Jeremy Lin both D-leagued... for now
ROSTER
PG D. Harris/Douglas
SG Burks/M. Harris
SF Howard/Miles/Hayward
PF Millsap/Favors/Powe
C Jefferson/Kanter
Reserves: Watson/Mozgov
Opinions on Roster coming laterComment
