I didn't want to keep Conley who is great PG but as I acquired Bradley in a somewhat bad trade for Celtics I have my Point guard in the next 10 years in Bradley.. And Arenas.. This might sound weird but I actually like that guy as I kinda have soft heart for older player like Vince, T-Mac and Arenas... I didn't look only the dunk rating.. I think I can do more damage with Pau than with Randolph who will fit in with Lakers good as he is tougher than soft part of Gasol family. I just had a blowout game against Clippers and Pau had great game with 25 points(12/14 form the field and 1/2 from 3 points) and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes. As I'll play every single game in LOOOOONG 82 games season I think that those draft picks would be late first rounders.. I might trade some of my reserves for mid first round picks.. I think I have good and balanced team..and biggest bench depth in the league IMO.

Don't get me wrong, man. I definitely think you'll own this season. I was just saying that they were trades that I myself wouldn't make. Hahah.

It's ok. I am curently 4-0 and Rudy G.ay is playing like best player in the league, scoring 45 back to back. And surprisingly Pau is my best inside presence, not Marc or Yao.

Trade with the Jazz that I was approahced with before our game against the Bobcats.

Nets Trade: Andray Blatche, Kevin Seraphin, Shelvin Mack, '12 2nd Round Pick
Jazz Trade: Devin Harris, DeMarre Carroll

First off, that solved our hole at SG/SF/PF in our second unit, with us getting rid of Andray Blatche. Carroll is pretty much for depth and garbage time minutes for now, and Devin Harris lets Lou Williams slide over to the SG and gives us a 1-2 punch with the first and second units. As I stated, we acquired D-Howard in free agency, and traded him for a stock-pile of depth once our Cavs traded pick won the lottery. It's made our team so deep, it's a struggle to get guys over 30 MPG on the starting line-up:

Deron Williams (31)
Shannon Brown (25)
Andre Iguodala (31)
Anthony Davis (31)
Anderson Varejao (25)

Devin Harris (25)
Lou Williams (23)
Alonzo Gee (15)
Kenneth Faried (24)
Greg Oden (20)

DeMarre Carroll (0)
Drew Cook (2)
Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

DISCONTINUED:

Current Association:

^If you think that's bad, in my Raptors association, I was playing the Hawks and Joe Johnson dropped 42 on me. I've never played a game where one player dropped that much against me. Kobe's come close, but 42.. by Joe Johnson?!

Npt sure what you guys are complaining about, did a fantasy draft, played the Knicks who had Wade and Diaw, Wade dropped like 40 on me from like 80% shooting, and Diaw wasn't far behind o.0

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

It's been awhile, but here is my Knicks update (season 2):

After a hot start, i've settled back to a decent 15-11. Melo has been tearing it up and is in the early MVP race. Shump is growing as an offensive force and of course is a terror on D.

Kendall Marshall has been inconstant as a starter, i have been splitting minutes with Lin at this stage. Cody Zeller has been a great pick, very nice off the bench. Gary Neal also provided some bench scoring, tho his ability to get lit up by opposing players is frustrating.

Roster moves: I sent to Jerome James to the Wizards for Chris Singleton, my bench was missing an athletic wing player. I also signed Mahinmi as my backup center.

My next move will be a big one. It's time for me to trade Amare, hopefully I can make a good trade and get back some good pieces. I know some of y'all will say "it's not realistic" and "would never happen", but there is no such thing as an unmovable piece in sports (i was pretty mad in MLB when the CPU traded Pineda and bitched how unrealistic it was. whoops lol).

I'll do my best not to ripoff the CPU, but no guarantees lol

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Just started the 2nd Season of my Sacramento Kings Association with my created player imported from MyPlayer mode. Our season opener was against the Oklahoma Thunder. Here is the copy and pasted recap from my dynasty page.

The Sacramento Kings Report

Damien Vincent leads the Kings to victory in season opener against the Thunder

Marcus Thornton drains a buzzer beater at the end of the first quarter.
Sacramento, Calif. – The Sacramento Kings season opener would not be an easy one as they played host to the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder, a team many foresee as the next Western Conference Champions.

If the Thunder want to be the next Champions of the Western Conference the Kings looked more than prepared to stand in their way as they would come out of the gate behind their deadly duo of Damien Vincent and Tyreke Evans as if they had something to prove. The pair would account for 17 of the Kings first 28 points, leading the push to put Sacramento ahead by 11 before the end of the first quarter.

“We wanted to make a statement with this game,” Tyreke Evans said. “We needed to show our fans that we are not a team to be taken lightly.”

The Thunder who would trail for the vast majority of the game as they struggled to contain the potent Kings offense, and ran into more than a few difficulties against their defense as well. Russell Westbrook would have a performance he would like to forget as despite putting up 20 points on 8 of 15 shooting, his 10 turnovers would be a major contributing factor to the Thunder’s struggles.

“He had a tough day, but it’s nothing to worry about,” Thunder Head Coach Scott Brooks said. “We shot the ball very well, and did a good job of crashing the boards. If we would have just done a better job of controlling the ball we would might have pulled out the victory.”

Despite his team's struggles, Durant refused to give up as he drove home a huge dunk late in the fourth.
Time and again the Kings’ tried to put the Thunder out of reach, but Kevin Durant refused to relent as he became a scoring machine, putting up 37 on 14 of 26 shooting. Late in the fourth quarter Durant would silence the sellout crowd, although only momentary, with a massive break away dunk that pulled the Thunder to within 5 and capped off a huge 12 to 2 run.

“They are the Western Conference favorites for a reason,” Kings Coach Russ Malone told reporters. “They don’t give up and possess the skill to come back from nearly any deficit.”

Neither Durant’s highlight reel dunk nor the momentum gained by the Thunder’s scoring run seemed to have any effect on Damien Vincent. As the game clock moved under the 1:30 mark and with the shot clock running down, Vincent took a pass from DeMarcus Cousins and drained a dagger of 3-pointer that would put an end to the Thunder’s run and hopes of winning.

“This was an important game for us,” Damien Vincent, who was named Player of the game, said to a reporter following the game. “We needed this win not only for ourselves, but for our fans. For us to come out here and defend our home floor against a team as talented as the Thunder says a lot about our organization and the direction we are headed.”

Game notes
Ersan Ilyasova would miss the Kings opener due to a strain quad injury that he received during preseason. Kendrick Perkins would also miss the game with a back injury.

And then I signed Drew Cook on a 1 year minimum contract to pair him with Yao.. Damn.. Now I have Yao and Cook who are 7'6 and 7'4.. And then I made folowing trades..

Suns trade: Steve Nash, 2nd round '12 pick
I trade: Conley, Speights, Cunningham

Lakers trade: Pau Gasol
I trade: Zach Randolph(his stats aren't bad, but I can't see myself playing with a bigman who has dunk 40..damn it even Scal has bigger ), 1st round '11, 1st round '12

And then some trades to give me more flexibility in the offseason, just to get rid of few contracts and 3 PG's I don't need.

76ers trade: Nikola Vučević
I trade: Pargo, Selby, Hudson

Celtics trade: Bradley, Pavlovič
I trade: Pondexter, Arthur, 2nd round '11 pick

I don't think I robbed anybody.. I even think I got robbed in that Gasol trade

Anyway.. my lineup..

PG: Nash(85);Arenas(73);Bradley(69, I want from him to play small minutes this year and become 6th man next year and when Nash retires he becomes starter)
SG: Tony Allen(76); OJ Majo(76)
SF: Gay(84); Pavlovič(62 - inactive)
PF: Pau Gasol(85); Odom(76)
C: Marc Gasol(79); Yao(72); Drew Cook(48)

Sent Vučević to D-League because I don't want him to be 12th man in my team.

I think I have contender in my hands..
You did a pretty good job keeping it realistic, though I think You may have robbed the celtics of avery bradley...he is emerging for them, and I don't think they'd let him go so cheap.

On the flip side, you robbed yourself in the lakers trade, If you had made it a 3 team trade and sent the '12 1st rounder to the celtics instead of that 2nd round pick, I think all 3 teams would ahve made out pretty even.

So far my fantasy team is 3-2, and other than the first game and the last game I played the final outcome has been decided by a final shot or a clutch shot leading to fouling and etc. Ibaka is a monster and just now I got 5 blocks with him. Someone suggested to trade George Hill and try to upgrade at the point but I'm loving him. I want to get Jrue Holiday but I would have to give up Deng or Aldridge so no. My most desperate need is a backup small forward because Danny Green doesn't produce much. I can't wait till free agency even though I've only played 5 games (from a 58 game season) and I'm having loads of fun!

Thanks.. I did had some unrealistic offers but turned them down.. I didn't like them.. I know I robbed Celtics and that I got robbed by Lakers.. But hey, bad trades happen..look at Michael Jordan. But Bradley has only 70 potential in roster that I used.. But all in all. I'm happy with this Association as I've kept it as realistic as I possibly could.

I'd like to hear what people try accomplishing in their association modes? Give me answers like: if your roster needs to be perfect and if you see a flaw do you start it over? Do you play or simulate or do both? How many seasons do you play for? What are the major areas of concern in association mode that are hard to fix no matter how much you try? Any interesting observations you have made with player morales, team progress, etc? Do you strive for reality as your #1 purpose? Give me some answers on how you like to play association mode!

Why does my Association keep freezing? Pressing 'A' or 'B' to dismiss time-out always results in a freeze...same with pressing 'A' durng free throws. It's getting frustrating to relinquish 10+ point leads, only to get it frozen, and having to play that same 10-minute stretch again...more unbelivable than the a$$ cheese I get on playing on Superstar mode...Help?

Obviously, your goal is to take your team to the top, and win the NBA Championship. In terms of accomplishments, I like to develop young players and players with potential. My Nets Association has one true superstar in D-Will, but with Andre Iguodala and Anthony Davis, I'm trying to make them All-Stars this season. (Iguodala: 19/8/5; Davis: 20/9). I like to make my Nets Association a deep team, and see how far I can go with certain players (Shannon Brown: 16 PPG). I like players who are more two-way guys, which is why I don't have two superstars, just three stars.

I play on Superstar, so having two-way players helps eliminate some of the cheese IMO. I play 29-game seasons, but each playoff series is a best of 7. I wanted to keep that classic. 12 minute quarters, and I only simulate un-important games, so I won't simulate in the beginning of the season, when every game is important.

In terms of reality, I modelled my team partly after the Nuggets, or Spurs. Two deep teams with great two-way players. I like to get as many of the following on my roster: Scoring, Shot Creators, Perimeter Defenders, Interior Defenders, Offensive Rebounders, Defensive Rebounders, Shot Blockers, Steals, etc.

I built my team through trades, free agency and the draft. I got D-Howard in free agency, but my Cavs' pick that I traded DJ Augustin for their first turned out to be Anthony Davis, so I traded Howard and got this incredibly deeproster:

Deron Williams
Andre Iguodala
Andrei Kirilenko
Kenneth Faried
Anthony Davis

Lou Williams
Shannon Brown
Alonzo Gee
Anderson Varejao
Greg Oden

Drew Cook
DeMare Carroll

I'm in the second year of my Clippers Association with my friend, and I couldn't be more glad that I took the risk that I did. I ended up trading away CP3 for John Wall (There were other aspects of the trade) simply because I knew from experience that he never accepts that second year. Now I've got my PG of the future as well as Blake & Nene filling the paint. Unstoppable.

I just finished the offseason of the beginning of season 2. During the FA period I had a trade go into arbitration, then it was just gone at the beginning of the season. When I tried to resend the trade, it said that my player was currently involved in a trade even though all trades were gone.

When will I be able or trade my players? Or will this problem last for the whole season which will prevent me from trading?

Thanks
