Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

    Game 1:New Jersey 107 @ Washington 91
In the opening game of our season it was PG matchup between Deron Williams and John Wall. NJN got out to a early lead 29-16 in the 1st qtr and we never really recovered. John Wall finished with 34 pts. D Will fouled out with just 7 pts, the superstar for NJN was Marshon Brooks who rocked out 33 pts in his first NBA game

    Game 2:Orlando 107 @ Washington 117
Wall blasted the Magic for 39 pts while Nene helped with 28. J Rich led the Magic with 23. DH12 finished with 14 pts and 16 boards.

    Game 3:Washington 106 @ Miami 100
Wall shocked the heat with precision the entire game finishing with 30 pts and 8 asts. Nene finished 22 pts. Lebron finished with 22 pts

    Game 4:Washington 107 @ Orlando 112
Orlando really didnt like the way the last game transpired so they came out on fire. DH12 finished with 23 and 19. Wall finished with 28 and Blatche added 24 and Nene added 20.
    Game 5:Chicago 101 @ Washington 94
In another BIG point guard matchup John wall went at the d rose the entire game. Rose only saw 19 minutes of action. The Bulls were led by Rip with 40 pts. Wall finished with 24 pts and Dleaguer Drew Cook came on with a strong game of 18 pts.
    Game 6:Washington 101 @ LAL 102
Gave the Lakers a run for their money thru the first 3 qtrs. Wall played phenomenal. 29 pts and 12 asts while Nene had 21 pts. But like always the Black Mamba saved the day with 40 pts.
    Game 7:Washington 127 @ Sacramento 130
2nd game of a back-to-back and the Kings took full advantage. Tyreke had 29 pts, marcus thornton had 26 pts and Cousins 22 pts 10 boards and 6 asts. Nene finished with 31 and 12 / Wall had 29 pts and Jordan Crawford had 22 pts

This game needed overtime to decide a winner. J dub finished with 39 pts and 17 asts. Nene had 28 pts. Steph Curry had 32 pts
    Game 9:Washington 102 @ Denver 113
In Nene's return to Denver and Javale's first game against Washington - J dub had 31 and 15/Chris singleton had 23 and Nene had 21. Wilson Chandler 20 and Javale had 17
    Game 10:Boston 117 @ Washington 109
We gave it to em thru 3 qtrs but being a young team we dont have the killer instinct just yet. Ray Allen exploded for 33 pts. J dub had 28/Blatche had 22 pts
    Game 11:Washington 110 @ Detroit 115
Former kentucky point guard matchup, J dub had 32 and 10. Nene 26 pts
Rodney Stuckey poured in 32 pts while rookie Brandon Knight 28 pts
    Game 12:Minnesota 112 @ Washington 96
This game upsetted me the most because I feel we are a much better team. Forget the stats here(lol) Minnesota is just a tough matchup at every position and this being a second game of a back-to-back didnt help at all
    Game 13:Washington 123 @ NYK 121
J dub led all scorers 32 pts and 11 asts, Nene had 31 pts/ Iman shumpert had 24 and melo had 20

I'm not sure what I'll do with the Bargnani/Cousins/Hibber rotation. I'm giving each around 28-30 MPG, because we're deep in the front-court. Our offense is perfectly fine, but our defense is atrocious. Thinking of trading Harrington, but not sure who I'll trade him for...

KD is tearing it up during our unbeaten season thus far, averaging 35/8/6. Westbrook is starting off slow, but his offensive role has made him a triple-double threat every game; Harden is averaging 16 PPG; Cousins is averaging a double-double; Bargnani is averaging 25/7 and Hibbert is averaging 20/7 so far.

It would be exciting to get 4/5 All-Stars, since we already have 5 playing at All-Star levels this season!
What kind of deals did you make to get this good a team?

yes, he is. trust me guys, get a guy who is like 7'4'' or maybe taller, and play with him. they are unstoppable, even if their rating is like 50, they can dunk over everyone, rebound, and play great D

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Simulated first season as I always do, using the Celtics. Was like the 5th or 6th seed in the playoffs, and lost in the first round.

Decided to make a move that I thought would put me in better position for my rebuild in 2013 (I want to attempt one more run), and I traded Rondo and Johnson for Lawson, Faried, Brewer, and DEN's 2013 1st.

I re-signed Dooling, Allen, Moore, Bass, and Garnett, and let Pietrus, Daniels, Wilcox, and Stiemsma walk. I drafted Lucas Nogueira #22 overall, and drafted Jared Cunningham with my 2nd. So, here's how my rotation looks:

            Lawson/Dooling
            Bradley/Allen/Moore/Cunningham
            Pierce/Brewer
            Bass/Faried
            Garnett/Nogueira

Gonna hope to make one more run, then either hope he retires or trade Pierce for a pick, let Garnett and Allen walk, try and land Iguodala in FA after Pierce is gone, sign a temporary fill-in at C, and start my rebuild around Faried and Lawson, while still remaining competitive.

I'm playing 29 game seasons. After the trade deadline, I'm 16-7, and Faried is averaging 9/9 and 1.5 blocks in about 28-29 MPG.

No All-Stars, but team is doing well. Re-signed Brewer for 2 years with a team option for a third, and re-signed Lawson for 3 years and ~$33 million. Garnett informed me he is retiring (good, happy he's retiring a Celtic), and hoping Allen and Pierce also retire Celtics this season so I can start rebuilding (and so I don't have to trade Pierce...I want Iggy).

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Finished the season (simulated) and had the best record in the league at 21-8. Was the #1 seed and somehow had no injuries in the playoffs and won the championship, with Garnett getting Finals MVP!

Seeing as how we won the championship, I couldn't justify letting Pierce or Allen go, so I re-signed them both. Nuggets had a HORRIBLE season after Rondo broke his ankle, so they were #7 pre-lottery. I ran it expecting like the 10th pick or something and got #2! Not enough for Muhammad, but I ended up getting Le'Bryan Nash. Also got a PG and a C with my other two picks, but I forgot their names.

Signed a scrub PG and Dalambert as my C to give me 15 players.

                Lawson/rookie/scrub
                Bradley/Allen/Moore/Cunningham
                Pierce/Nash/Brewer
                Faried/Bass
                Dalambert/rookie/Nogueira

Gotta make my 2014 draft class before I actually start playing my next season (I edit chiliad's to make them more realistic to me).

Oh, and Faried is a BEAST! Didn't get any All-Defense awards yet, but he will soon!

To answer your other question, the PF you might be looking for is Kevin Garnett or Tim Duncan. i know they are old, but they are fun to play with and fit your need perfectly. if you want one who is young, i would try to get favors as he will develop an offensive skill set. any backup pg with work, idk who you are looking for, and a good sg will be courtney lee. i would not trade cousins, but i would move him to the pf. if you really need to trade deng or cousins, i would just trade deng. you will need to put together a really good package for favors though, but its worth it. if you want i wouldn't consider it a bad trade if you straight up cousins for favors. hope this helped.

No because i simulate most of my games, and they do badly in simulation if their rating is low, but people can do what they want with their associations. I've only done it once since i rarely play, but i agree that it does make it boring because it is too easy. i just happened to draft a 7'6" center in someones draft class that could shoot and was rated 70

I'm heading into my second season with my T-Wolves Association, and my roster is looking beautiful. In the first season, I ended up making a trade of Beasley for Monta Ellis, bumping Derrick Williams up to the starting 3 earlier on last season. But other than that, my roster is pretty default. I went ahead and picked up a few small talents in the free agency this year, and I believe the rookies I drafted will work wonders in the future. Here's how my roster sits currently:

                        1. Ricky Rubio (80), Derek Fisher (63)
                        2. Monta Ellis (85), Wesley Johnson (70), William Buford (68)
                        3. Chandler Parsons (72), Perry Jones III (71), Martell Webster (70)
                        4. Kevin Love (87), Derrick Williams (75)
                        5. Nikola Pekovic (77), Andre Drummond (76)

I intend on letting both Pekovic and Webster walk at the end of the season, bumping Drummond up to my starting 5. I may also trade away Chandler Parsons if I can find a good deal, possibly packaging him, that way I can either play D. Will at the 3, or allow my rookie PJ3 to start at the 3.

Last season I ended up with a record of 43-39, and I intend on making that better this season.

I tried Cousins for Love as a joke...and I can't believe the T-Wolves actually accepted that trade. I tried it again in my other save file, and they actually traded Love for Cousins straight up! Go try it lol.

Added some depth at SG/SF by trading for Stephen Jackson. Traded OJ Mayo and Tony Allen for Stephen Jackson, Matt Bonner and DeJuan Blair. Blair is not working out the way I hoped; I thought he'd be a dependable asset on the defensive end, and be a real hustle guy. His contract is a bargain for the 10/9 he's putting up, though. I don't know who could be traded for Bonner. Scal? Added Telfair for backup PG.

Westbrook has seen his offensive load lessen, and he's becoming a Rondo v. 2.0 player, and is averaging a near triple-double this season! His last game was 20/11/8. Also a stud on defense. Averaging 2.3 SPG.

Iguodala has been great, and the reason I brough him in (defense) has been working out very well. I'll put him on the team's best option at SG/SF, and he'll completely shut them down.
Damn see i didn't know you traded cousins and Ibaka my bad i thought it was just Ibaka for cousins haha. But those two for cousins helps them so it help both teams. I be fooling around and i can get James for Howard and some more pieces so i understand how easy it is. If you do a lot of trades try doing three team trades so it won't mess up your teams chemistry

Well, maybe he hasn't worked out so far, but Love attribute-wise is the best rebounder, a great scorer for a big, and decent defense. I think you should keep him.

I started an association today where I play 29 games and control all 30 teams. I used vctrbs draft classes that I tweaked a little but I simmed the first season and Miami won the title against memphis??? 4-2. Nothing big happened inn free agency, except Steve Nash went to the mavericks to get a ring! sadly that next season was the worst they went 14-15 with no playoff appearance and Steve Nashs rating dropped 10 points. Anyways so the pistonsngot the first pick and got Davis while bobcats got gilchrist hornets got Thomas Robinson and raptors got Drummond oh and caves got John henson which is playing superb with 20ppg 8rbg and 2.1bpg. Oh and the father son duo austin rivers went to the celtics and played a very good starting 2 guard.
Ironically that year the celtics won it all beating the lakers in 7. Austin got his first ring best offseason though celtics lost pierce and Garnett to retirement which opened the door for Dwight Howard to come in and leave van gunny and the magic. Davis won rookie of the year btw and the timberwolves and pistons finally made the playoffs. Back to the off season the lakers vera ending killed them. They couldnt pay Bynum enough so he went to PHILLY. They lost sessions to San Antonio which lost ginobli to the bucks and Duncan. No worries with one big man pick up they will be good bc kawhi Leonard is playing like an beast at both ends of the floor. Al Jefferson went to the hawks and josh smith went to the pacers. Heat picked up caman and Steve Nash. And I used untapped potential on Norris Cole so he has plenty of time to develop into a solid point guard.

Shabazz got drafted to the raptors who have a progressing Drummond who look to be a solid team. I put bargnani at the 4 which benefits mainly on defense so Dwight Howard or cousins don't drop 40 on him.

Noel went to the rockets who got jae crowder the previous year he became almost a copy of Paul george (w/o 3pt shoot) : due to his abundance of minutes. They also got Kyle Anderson at the point in front of Lowry with his passing and size at the point. I think it would be great time for them to take the west if okc doesn't.

The wizards got bradely beal and Cody seller along with nene make a beast front court bc Cody is a stud on the offensive post the future looks bright but u know the wizards they will probably screw it up.

The kings got Terrence jones and he is like a mix between nowitzkis range and David west so this takes the pressure off of cousins.

The bobcats got Gil heists which is the best perimeter defender in the game and they picked up meyers Leonard (with untapped potential) which is really become a solid defender and impossible to contain with his turn around hook.

Lastly the jazz picked up teague who is doing good but I can't figure out why it says he is fed up he's a star and starts and gets a ton of minutes yet it deducts his rating by ten anny suggestions?

Biggest pet peeves are players get pissed to easy and I did the rivers duo and doc rivers retires that year wtf?

Love also hasn't brough the rebounding prescense I wanted to bring, after losing Ibaka and Perkins to a trade.

I'm looking to trade Love, but the most we can take in terms of 11-12 salary is around $5.7 million, however, I'll pair him up in the trade for our bench pieces like Telfair and Bonner.

I'm looking for a PF (or C) who can rebound the ball very well, play great interior defense, and score with limited FGA.

Also looking for a decent backup PG. Any advice would we helpful! Thanks!

EDIT: The most I can intake in salary is: $9.42 million
I agree with the other guy, you should probably keep him, but if you really want to trade him, there are a couple options.

Trade him the the nets(I'm a nets fan) for lopez and humphries. also if you want a pg then farmer too i know lopez can't rebound in real life, but when i do association with them, he averages 10 rpg. even if he doesn't rebound, humphries is a great rebounder. lopez also has a good offensive game but doesn't need the ball all the time.

To the nuggets for mcgee, andre miller, and maybe if a pick if you think thats not enough. mcgee will develop into a defensive beast, and andre miller is a great backup pg who can dish since westbrook isn't your traditional "pass-first" pg. maybe there will need to be some fillers, but i think this is the best option.

This one is probably a long shot, but chandler from the knicks isn't a bad idea. you can probably sneak a little extra talent, like 2 1st rounders or shumpert. chandler rarely takes field goals, while still producing some on offense. he will rebound so he is exactly what you want.

The last thing i can think of is derrick favors. you might actually have to give up a little more but he will develop into a beast.

let me know which one you choose. i don't know whether they will accept these, these trades are just ones that i thought of in my head that i though will help your needs. you may have to make some tweaks.
