Oh, and while he can't shoot, if you want a defensive and rebounding BEAST that can turn into the #1-rated PF in the game if used right during TC, try and get Faried from Denver.

I worked on his potential ONCE in my association, and simulated about 16 years. He retired at 38 as an 88 overall (#1 PF), 6-time DPOTY, and HOFer.

Well fellas im back and highly irritated after all my gaming -- i turn tha game on to find corrupt files. So i have to start my association with the Wizards over and im not to excoted about it but anyway, GM Jones will be keeping a close eye on coach Wittman. John Wall is ready to lead the Wizards back to the playoffs and I intend on giving the Wizards faithful an exciting season.

Will give a detailed roster review in a few

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

BOUT TO GIVE A QUICK RUNDOWN OF OUR ROSTER

          STARTING LINEUP

PG John Wall - arguably one of the quickest if not the quickest players in the game. In his 2nd year in the NBA he is feeling like he's got alot to prove(Star)

SG Jordan Crawford - nice size for a 2 guard, very streaky with his shooting, needs to work on his handles just a lil bit - nice scorer

SF Chris Singleton - Chris has shown that he belongs in the league with his hogging defensive skills, his length helps us out on the boards, working on him becoming a DEFENSIVE BEAST - his offensive skills are suspect

PF Andray Blatche - IMO he is our XFACTOR, a 4 that can shoot the jumper consistently and also can post up - expecting him to have a outstanding season for us

C Nene - no disrespect to the freakishly athletic Javale McGee but i feel this is what Washington needs in a big man(athleticism and the post skills) Nene also has a midrange jumper.

All in all I like our starting 5

          Bench

SF Rashard Lewis - with two years left on his ridiculous contract he is really trying to have a impact for our team, we are looking for Rashard to be his former self - getting to the rim and spreading the floor with his deadly 3pt shooting (6th man)

PF Kevin Seraphin - surprised me with his play in Real life and now that he has received an update, he is gonna play a big role coming off the bench. Depending on his play throughout the season he is expected to see an increase in playing time.

PF Trevor Booker - this guy always hits the boards hard, doesnt know anything but one speed and thats full speed

SG Jake Robinson - found this guy in the Dleague and with Roger Mason being waived we needed a guy coming off the bench to spread the floor. This guy 3pt is on 91 so he has found a perfect role.

PG Shelvin Mack - backup for John Wall we need him to come in a be a floor general for the second group. has nice speed and a good jumper

TOP 10 is pretty much set. Meet the rest of the roster

SF Cartier Martin - a pure shooter from midrange and 3pt land - might see action due to injuries

SF Jan Vesely - 1st round pick but really hasnt shown me anything but athleticism, he will need a bit more than that to sneak into the rotation. might be seeing some Dleague action.

Brian Cook and Maurice Evans are pretty much insurance policies. If my big men receive any injuries we will be giving 7"4 Drew Cook a call

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Started a new 58 game association with the Oklahoma Thunder. As I like to play my favorite player, Ray Allen and I suck at playing Harden in 2k12, I managed to make a preseason trade for me to enjoy the game more.

            Thunder gets:
            Ray Allen
            Euthwane Moore
            Jajuan Johnson

            Celtics gets:
            James Harden
            Nick Collision
            Eric Maynor

In this way, I made Celtics better as well and build up their developing roster. I also resigned Lamar Odom from FA to have a backup for Ibaka. Below are my lineup:

Starters: Westbrook, Allen, Durant, Ibaka, Perkins
Bench: Jajuan, Odom, E. Moore, Sefolosha, D Fish, R Jackson, D Cook
Reserves: Aldrich, Ivey, Mohammed, Hayward (Dleague)

So far, we are now 6-0.

You got robbed. Even if Allen is your favorite player, you gave up two much for a 37-year-old, a crap prospect in Moore, and a decent prospect in Johnson.

I'm starting a new Association with the Washington Wizards!

Looking to form around John Wall, and make some good trades during the season.

All-Start difficulty, 28 games (I want to do multiple seasons)

Feel free to read my signature dynasty. I try to make them entertaining and fun for all, written like press releases.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Alright, started an association with the Celtics and made some DRASTIC changes. Simulated the first season, as I always do, and Celtics BARELY got into the playoff, and got swept in the 1st round. Realizing that our run was essentially over, and wanting to change the entire face of the team, I let Garnett and Allen walk, without hesitation. However, after thinking for a LONG time, I decided to use my amnesty on Pierce. He's my favorite player ever, and a lifelong Celtic no matter what, but his contract is just too expensive for his current skill level.

My hope was to get back Jeff Green in FA to replace Pierce. Anyways, on draft day, I decided to make another splash and traded Rondo for Brandon Jennings and MIL's 2013 1st. Rondo fits better in MIL than Jennings, and with my team's new look, Jennings fits better in BOS than Rondo.

So, I ended up drafting Festus Ezeli with my 1st, and Darius Johnson-Odom with my 2nd.

I went into FA, and was immediately disappointed. I made a generous offer to Jeff Green, but he decided that, with Rondo gone, he'd rather compete elsewhere. He went to the Knicks.

I ended up signing Andre Miller as my backup PG, re-signed Moore at SG, re-signed Pietrus at SF, snagged Alonzo Gee at SF for 3 years, and signed Ben Wallace and Joel Przybilla at C to fortify my post defense for a season or two before they retire.

So, didn't make a huge impact in FA, but I cut the extra cap space by letting the Big 4 go so I could bank in on FAs in 2013 (looking at Josh Smith or Millsap).

But yeah, I think I can mold Jennings into the next great PG, so I think we have a bright future ahead of us. Currently, here's the depth chart:

                  Jennings/Miller
                  Bradley/Johnson-Odom/Moore
                  Gee/Pietrus
                  Bass/Johnson
                  Wallace/Ezeli/Przybilla

                  Thoughts?

Oh, and Pierce went to the Pistons, and Garnett and Allen went to the 76ers.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

I will be starting an Association Mode within the next couple of days. I recently bought the game and like to refamiliarize myself with the gameplay before starting a long term association. I enjoy taking a rebuilding team and improving through the draft and player development (I dont mind for this to take up to around 5 seasons). I have heard a lot of good things about 29 game seasons and that it was I plan on playing with. I am sure people have already offered plenty of insight about these topics already, but it would be helpful to hear what people have to offer: What Rosters, Draft classes, and Game Play Sliders give the most realistic feel in a multiple season association?

If anyone has any other insights into making the process more enjoyable I would appreciate their comments as well. (I'm not interested in controlling all 30 teams or playing 82 games however)

                      Thanks.

Yup i would have traded for bradley instead of moore as he can't even shoot any open jumpers now. but getting bradley wont make it realistic anymore. Also, getting rayray really makes you give up too much in 2k hehe! Thanks for the feedback

Yeah, I just thought I'd let you know what you probably already know. I'm a Celtics fan, if that's relevant. Giving up Harden alone for all three of them is still robbery, IMO. It would take an early 1st rounder (not saying top 10 or anything, but a high pick in a package) or Rondo to get Harden in a package.

But yeah, in my NEW association (LOL, I start like 10 a day...but I'm sticking with this one), I traded Rondo for Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, and Utah's 2013 2nd. Would've made it a 1st, but, even though I have rosters where Favors' potential is only like 81 (might even be 71, I forgot [not like 95, like in a lot of rosters]), working on his potential just once can turn him into a superstar, so I like the trade for both teams.

Why waste talent like Favors on the bench?

Is the Draft order lottery-based or still on the alphabetical glitch?

Also, what are your guys favourite Association teams for current lottery teams? I have an excellent No. 1 seed Thunder team, but I want to rebuild a contender. I'm trying to decide:

Kings: Young talent (I. Thomas, Evans, Cousins) and some trade assets.
Bucks: I really like Monta, Jennings and Ilyasova. Some good bench players too.
Warriors: Intrigued with Curry/Thompson/Bogut/Lee. Very intrigued.
Nets: I really like D-Will, and thriving with my PG in My Player (averages 23/11 on Superstar). Lopez, and solid players like Humphries, Farmar, Green, etc.

                            Suggestions would be appreciated!
