I've been giving Randolph a few minutes at center but he gets man handled sometimes. Gonna out him through the weight training camp to get his strength up.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
THE 1st MONTHLY UPDATE
Everything happening around the league all on one massive post? whaaat??<O</O
Fun Fact: It took me an hour and a half to just gather all these stats.<O</O
<O</O
THE STANDINGS<O</O
EAST CONFERENCE<O</O
Heat 15-1 (Insane, when you see the team statistics, you’ll see why)<O</O
Knicks 11-6 (Certainly a great start for the Knicks, this year, chemistry is working.)<O</O
Pacers 11-6 (A 9 game win streak after they fired their first coach O_O’)<O</O
Celtics 12-7 (They may be aging, but they show their time isn’t over yet.)<O</O
Bulls 10-6 (The Bulls remain powerful and look like they will play solidly)<O</O
Pistons 9-8 (Wait… what?)<O</O
Magic 7-9 (Not the start that Howard would have wanted, the East is weak this year)<O</O
76ers 7-9 (The 76ers are still around the middle, like always.)<O</O
Bucks 7-9 (Steve Nash is helping the Bucks advance, but more can be done.)<O</O
Nets 7-10 (Deron Williams is leading the Nets to a .500 year.)<O</O
Cavaliers 6-9 (Already producing better than last year)<O
</O
Bobcats 6-11 (Doing worse than last year, starting slow out of the gate.)<O</O
Hawks 5-10 (Having a bad, slow start to the season.)<O</O
Raptors 5-11 (Raptors are having the season that everyone thought they would.)<O</O
Wizards 3-12 (Injuries have plagued this train wreck of a team this season.)<O</O
WEST CONFERENCE<O</O
Thunder 13-5 (We all saw this one coming)<O</O
Warriors 13-5 (Though no one saw this one coming)<O</O
Mavericks 12-6 (Ready to defend their title)<O</O
Nuggets 10-5 (Taking the loss of Carmelo Anthony rather well.)<O</O
Jazz 10-7 (The Jazz are producing, Free Agency could make or break them in 2012.)<O</O
Grizzlies 8-7 (This young team is going to show last year wasn’t a fluke.)<O</O
Spurs 9-8 (Ready to show they are still a tough team.)<O</O
Clippers 8-9 (Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon are leading this team to the playoffs.)<O</O
Lakers 7-9 (A bad start, a new coach, as well as low team chemistry hurting them.)<O</O
Rockets 6-9 (The Rockets aren’t doing well with their plethora of PG’s)
Kings 7-11 (It’ll take a few years for the Kings to really be effective.)<O</O
Timberwolves 6-10 (Rubio is showing that while helping, he isn’t the missing piece.)<O</O
Hornets 6-10 (CP3 and David West will probably not resign on this sinking ship.)<O</O
Trailblazers 6-11 (A healthy Roy, a healthy Oden, what else do you need!?)<O</O
Suns 6-11 (Evidence that giving Nash and Dudley away may have been a bad idea.)<O</O
<O</O
Notable News<O</O
-Pacers fire head coach, and then go on a 9 game win streak afterwards.<O</O

AND NOW, FINALLY MY OPINONS ON MY ROSTER
Stephen Jackson: I have to say I am getting a lot more out of Jackson than I thought I would. With 16.8 points a game, and 4.5 rebounds and assists a game, Jackson is definitely going to stay with the Jazz for a year or two.<O</O
<O</O
Al Jefferson: His points per game has lowered to 12.8 but that's probably because <ST1Jackson </ST1
is contributing a large amount of points to the Jazz's cause. Al Jefferson will definitely stay for several years, but Derrick Favors may just replace him.<O
</O
<O</O
Paul Millsap: Just a beast, it's sad that 2K gave him a 'Not Loyal' factor, since he desires to stay with Jazz in NBA but he will definitely stay for his contract, and try to be resigned by Jazz as well, with 18.1 points a game, 9 rebounds a game, and a steal a game, Millsap is just a monster. Could start to play the SF when Favors develops.<O</O
<O</O
Devin Harris: Losing spotlight to Jackson and Millsap just like Jefferson, Harris does his job well, not usually having a bad game, and fills up the points per game (11.9) Assists per game (5.7) and Steals per game (2.3) he is a solid point that in a year or two will probably be replaced by a younger player.
<O</O
Jared Dudley: Not a crazy player, but certainly one of the most consistent ones, with 9.8 points a game, and 5.4 rebounds a game, with an amazing 51.9% of his 3 point shots made, Dudley has a spot in the Jazz roster, and he has 4 years of contract time, so he isn't going anywhere soon unless he starts getting overshadowed or stops producing.
<O</O
George Hill: A sixth man who isn’t producing like I thought he would, he only has been getting 5.6 points a game, 1.9 rebounds a game, and 2.3 assists a game, he is getting 20 minutes a game, and for that much time, he certainly is not producing very well. He will probably not be resigned next year.
<O</O
Derrick Favors: Definitely needs to improve offensively, Favors is a potent defender and in a year or two, should be a sixth man or have a starting spot in the Jazz roster, this kid is not going anywhere for awhile.
<O</O
Deshawn Stevenson: I'm really disappointed with this guy, since I didn't expect him to produce so little for the Jazz as a backup for Stephen Jackson, it seems like he WANTS to be Trade Bait. He hardly ever has a good game, and he usually takes 3-5 shot attempts and makes zero at times what a disappointment. :/
Danilo Gallinari: The biggest surprise of my roster, Danilo Gallinari is a solid SF backup, who is producing a solid 6.6 points a game, and 2.5 rebounds a game, with 53% shooting and 57% 3 point shooting, I will try and resign this guy for a long contract.
<O</O
Ersan Ilyasova: Another solid presence, though he will test free agency after the season, hopefully I can sign him back with us, he has a solid 5.4 points a game, and 3.2 rebounds a game. The only problem is he takes too many 3 point attempts and doesn't produce on very many of them. I would love him back with the Jazz.
<O</O
Antoine Wright: As a FA scrub, he does what he needs to do. He gets few minutes a game, but he does have a better game when he gets better minutes, obviously not going to resign him since he is just a scrub.
<O</O
Ime Udoka: As stated in my week 5 update, I waived him, he just wasn't really doing anything for the team, I'll just sign someone once injuries occur.
<O</O
Zabian Dowdell: A nice surprisingly effective PG that, when taking a lot of minutes when Harris and Hill both had injuries, could score and could certainly produce, he is already 27 though, so I haven't decided if I should resign him after this year, unless he wants less than a million.
<O</O
Sherron Collins: Currently residing in D-League, could replace Dowdell
<O</O
Brad Miller: Only played in 1 game, not enough to judge him
<O</O
Jeff Adrien: Hasn't played for Jazz yet, residing in D-League<O
</O
<O</O
Had to rip apart my post quite a bit since it messed up the tables I made on my last post, so... sorry about that...Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
My Cavaliers are 9-10 and currently in a close one with the Lakers. Blew up the team and found versatile players that fit my style. Offense runs through the 2 and 3 but rarely through isolation, just plays, lots of passing, spot ups and playing matchups. I'm trying play as realistic as possible, and as a result this is the first 2k association I've actually stuck with and enjoyed playing every game. We're leading the league in 3pt% and assists.
rotation:
Varejao / Jonas Valenciunos
Jamison / Anthony Randolph
Paul George / Sonny Weems
Fields / Weems
Hinrich / Farmar
Fields is so good. Automatic from outside, can finish, defend, rebound, everything. he can be dominant despite having just a 70 or so rating.Last edited by hazyphonics; 11-06-2011, 10:02 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Got the game today and started a Association with the Cavs.
Made a bunch of trades to tear apart the roster for next season.
I ended up having 5 first rounders after the trades, and the roster ended up as:
PG: Irving, Jimmer
SG: Wes Johnson
SF: Damion James
PF: Tristan Thompson
C: Jordan Williams? Not sure.
Bench: other decent, young guys I can't remember right now
They sucked as I hoped, yet Kyrie won ROTY and my man Jimmer won 6th man of the year.
Wes also got on one of the defensive All-Star lists, not sure which though.
So in the draft, I get the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 13th, and 17th overall picks.
I hoped Harrison Barnes would drop to me at 3 since I wasn't able to get the 1st pick. The 76er's got him at 1 and I ended up taking Sullinger at 3. Traded Sullinger + something else for Barnes.
Then I took Drummond at 4 and Anthony Davis at 5. Then Michael Gilchrist at 13 and Doron Lamb at 17.
After that, I pick up Landry Fields and Motiejunas in FA.
In 2013, the roster looks like:
PG: Kyrie, Fredette, Sherron Collins
SG: Wes Johnson, Lamb
SF: Barnes, Gilchrist
PF: A. Davis, Tristan Thompson, Motiejunas
C: Drummond, Jordan Williams
And then there's one or two other guys I don't remember right now.
So obviously it's an interesting, young team full of potential. They've done decent to start the season.
I'll get back to the stuff that I forgot later.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Glad some you guys arent GM's. No would make the deals half of you guys have posted. If the beefed up rosters some you have is on purpose I apoligize but if you honestly think trading Jonny Flynn and 2 2nd rd draft picks for Kevin Love is remotely fair lol...nevermindComment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
I just go on trade finder, it's too much of a pain to do anything else.
Being a top 3 team in association really just ruins the fun, right now, my Jazz are considered 14th, but Stephen Jackson is injuredComment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Couple of days before the trade deadline in my association and i've just received a trade offer from the Kings.
Kings Send-Tyreke Evans, JJ Hickson, '12 1st Round Pick
Timberwolves Send-Kevin Love, Michael Beasely, '12 1st Round Pick
Good trade? Bad trade?Last edited by TN3LL; 11-08-2011, 02:57 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Evans is nice. Can play the 1 if you're not confident in your point guard or even come off the bench to run the 1 if you're backup sucks. Can obviously play the 2 as well. JJ Hickson...meh. He's Amare without a jumper right now.
Right now I'd just advise to keep Beasley and just increase Love's post game (particularly fadeaways and post hop shots if you can...). Love already has a better midrange than Hickson even at 66 midrange. Hickson has a 60 midrange. But...his post spin does work 90% of the time.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Personally, I wouldn't do it. You already have Wesley Johnson, so adding Tyreke Evans will just crowd your backcourt since more are similar players. Besides, you don't want to give up the league's best rebounder in Kevin Love. With a team like the T'Wolves, you need every second chance board you can get LOL.According to my old marketing professor, satisfaction is when product performance meets or exceeds consumer expectation.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
I would do it. Evans is an incredible ball handler and he can play the 1 or 2. This will also make room for Derrick Williams at the 3 or 4 spot. Beasley is a headache in real-life and I would give away Love with him for a talent like Evans any day. Ya Love is a beast on the boards, but he reminds me of David Lee... Maybe his numbers are inflated cause he's on a bad team?2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment
