Knicks Trade: 2013 1st, and 2nd Round picks.
T-Wolves Trade: 2012 1st Round pick
I found a great draft class for this year with fake players, so I wanted to get some high potential picks this year in the Clippers and the T-Wolves.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
So normally, I would do my usual hawks and wizards associations, but the lack of a season left me uninspired, so I decided to do a fantasy draft. Finished the draft and my roster is:
PG Kyle Lowry
SG Nick Young
SF Danny Granger
PF Lamarcus Aldridge
C Marc Gasol
6th: George Hill
Bench: Cj MIles, Joel Pryzbilla, brandon bass
Now, this team isn't the best, but it is easily my favorite team to play with ever. Lowry is the perfect PG for me, someone who can focus on passing instead of scoring. Young is just good. He's pretty much buckets on any jumper and is athletic enough to slam it in your face. Granger is a solid scorer, and aldridge is a beast on the block. Gasol fills hisrole nicely as the big guy who gobbles up rebounds and blocks shots. I'm trying to trade for darren collison, though, as I really like having fast PGs who can push it up the court and hit my wings for transition 3's.Comment

Its obvious the trade logic in 2k has been messed up for some time. If they offer you Lebron for a 2nd round draft pick will you actually view this as realistic too? Its ur game, im not hating just saying, its pretty ******** for people to gloat around about unrealistic tradesComment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Started a Clippers association...a 14 game schedule, 1-1-1-1 playoff format, where I will play ever Clipper game and probably ever playoff game around the league. Also, I control all 30 teams with injuries on and have fixed rotations.
Rookies are in (w/o black arms), and I also used the amnesty rule which may be forced after the lockout. Each team was able to completely get rid of a bad contract, and it made FA a lot more interesting. For example, Brandon Roy went to the Suns, Tayshaun Prince and Glen Davis went to the Spurs, and the Magic are in less of a pickle with Gilbert Arenas' contract gone and the Blazers signing him to a small deal. Marc Gasol, the best FA prize, signed with the Kings, Greg Oden went to Boston, and Jamaal Crawford signed with the Hornets.
Also, the Clippers did perform one trade before the season (before I decided I would control them), in which Chris Kaman was traded for 76ers rookie Vucecic, a nice athletic center. And the Clippers picked up the Nets' amnesty SF Travis Outlaw.
The starting line up is..
C DeAndre Jordan
PF Blake Griffin
SF Al-Farouq Aminu
SG Eric Gordon
PG Mo Williams
The plan is to keep the Jordan-Griffin-Gordon nucleus in tact. Then upgrade at the SF position, and try and get Griffin an exciting, top PG through F.A. or the draft. We'll be looking at Chris Paul but since I will be fair when controlling all 30 teams he'll either be traded before the deadline to the Knicks or in F.A. several teams will offer him max contracts, and the game will choose which one he decides.
Game #1 at San Antonio Spurs 92-82 Loss
San Antonio is arguably the hardest place to play in the NBA, with the Spurs holding the best home court record in the NBA last year. The Clippers held the game close for the most part, getting significant contributions from Blake Griffin (21 pts, 11 rebs, 4 blcks), and Eric Gordon (24 pts) but the Spurs went on a small run with 4 minutes left giving them a 10 pt win.
Tony Parker lead the way with 24 pts. and 8 assists. Manu Ginobli had a high ankle sprain at the beginning of the game and is out for 2-4 weeks.
Game #2 vs. Sacramento Kings 101-92 Win
Clippers finally notched their first win of the season at home. Eric Gordon had 30 points, and Blake Griffin also had 25, 13, and 4 blocks as well. Meanwhile, Marcus Thornton had 22 to try and help the Kings keep pace but the Clippers offense was just too good today. The Clippers managed to break 100, and win this one by 9. Next game will be against the Utah Jazz.Last edited by RayAllen20; 11-12-2011, 12:34 PM.I will always, always be a Jets fan. But trust me it hurts.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
Kings and Clippers are ur best bet. Already have some good bonafide young talent in place. The Hornets are need too much and have too little to offer to gain with just CP3. Unlike football, rebuilding a team in the NBA takes years to do unless you get lucky and get an exception talent like Kevin Durant or Lebron James.Comment

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
omg, I feel so cheated by this game. 5 minute quarters, pro level (simulation), an opposing player sinks shots for 24 pts in the first three quarters (27 overall) on 12 of 17 shooting. The opposing team shoots 54% of the field (missing a few shots in the last three minutes, percentage was 60-65% most of the time, including contested last second shots). And I felt I played a really good game with 45% (some ugly blocks - 7 in all - on players under the basket reduced this)
The three point % was the most divergent: 0-6 on my part (Clippers, with Gordon having a bad 0-4 day), and 7-15 on theirs. Then they make 10 points of my 6 turnovers, I 1 of their 4. 24 Rebounds on them, 16 on me (well, you can't rebound defensively if they hit everything).
So now... guess what team I was playing against?
SpoilerIt was the mightly Minnesota Timberwolves with Michael Beasley being the unstoppable offensive weapon. What did he do? Marry a 2K12 developer's sister? That guy was a second string guy in Miami.Basketball-Fan and publisher of the Warlord: Saga of the Storm 4th Edition Customizable Card Game (no, you need neither a computer nor a video game console for that. Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread
In my 76ers association I just noticed, that the Bobcats are now loaded at PG/SG...I had traded them Evan Turner previously, now they just traded for Joe Johnson and so Augustin is starting at the point with JJ, and Turner/Kemba are their 6 and 7 playersComment
