Where everywhere is a cold zone? Almost every NBA player (maybe not KD lol) have cold zones, or at least zones that aren't hot zones.

Kings Association. 2012-13 season. Traded Emeka Okafor, because I need the $$$ to resign Ty Lawson (24 PPG/6 APG) and Terrence Williams (13 PPG/5 RPG/5 APG). Looking at trading Garcia too, with his $6.1 contract. Trades:

        Kings Trade: Emeka Okafor
        Rockets Trade: Samuel Dalembert

        Kings Trade: Samuel Dalem bert
Trail Blazers Trade: Joel Pryzbilla, '13 2nd Round Pick

*Joel Pryzbilla is an A+ Rebounding Grade in this roster. Also signed Reggie Evans for the exact same reason; they're both consumate rebounders and that's great when pairing them with Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins, who are 4th and 5th respectively in rebounding:

        1. D. Howard: 13.3
        2. B. Griffin: 12.8
        3. D. Lee: 12.3
        4. A. Davis: 11.3
        5. D. Cousins: 11.1

        6. K. Love: 11.0

every single zone on the floor is a cold zone for every single rookie in every single draft class. thats a huge issue. its not just a couple cold zones here or there, its every single zone.

I think it is used to simulate the nerve racking emotion that goes through rookies in the NBA. They haven't really built that confidence to have hot zones yet? I don't know I'm just guessing here...

its a glitch. they have the cold zones for their entire career, not just their rookie season.

Isn't what deciphers hot zones in the Hot Spots section of Edit Player? Again, I'm not sure, which is why I'm asking.

Year 2 of my 2k11 Cavs chise:

                  PG- Nate Robinson
                  SG- Rip Hamilton
                  SF- Perry Jones
                  PF- Jason Thompson
                  C- Tyson Chandler
                  6 Gordon Hayward
                  7 Samuel Dalembert
                  8 Jason Maxiel
                  9 Wayne Ellington
                  10 Keyon Dooling
                  11 Daniel Gibson
                  12 Daequan Cook

Against the Bucks Ellington was on fire off the bench.. He hit a three for the lead.. 81-80 with 3.5 seconds left.. Rip blocks Brandon Jennings shot at the buzzer.. After that we went on a long winning streak.. I believe we are now 21-13.

Just curious as to how many of you play the full 12 minutes with sim settings and try to play every game?

there is a hot spot section when you edit players but it doesnt get rid of the cold zones when you edit it. i dont know why. its just a glitch in the game that doesnt have a fix (that i know of).

i just cant get into association mode knowing that every player i draft is doomed to miss more shots than he should because every zone is cold. i supposed i could just build through free agency and avoid rookies, but thats not realistic or fun to me.

How's my 2012-13 Kings Association looking? I didn't use trade over-ride and ask about any trades if you want...:

                        Ty Lawson/Jimmer Fredette
                        Eric Gordon/Shane Battier/Matt Caroll
                        Terrence Williams/Thabo Sefalosha
                        Anthony Davis/Reggie Evans
                        DeMarcus Cousins/Brendan Wright/Joel Pryzbilla

                        Lawson: 24 PPG, 6 APG
                        Gordon: 23 PPG, 3 APG, 3 RPG
                        Williams: 13 PPG, 4 APG, 5 RPG
                        Davis: 16 PPG, 11 RPG, 2 BPG, 2 SPG
                        Cousins: 20 PPG, 11 RPG, 2 BPG

                        Fredette: 10 PPG

                          question for everyone;

does shot tendency improve over time for young players??
I have paul george whose shot tendency is a pathetic 45 with official 2k rosters and I plan on developing him into a star (rudy gay mold is closest) but he only scores 10 points a game even though other players don't shoot very often (tendency are like 40, 50, 70, 60 about)
Will this change within 2 years?

And how much affect would manually changing the tendency have on him and his development or is that viewed as "editing the roster" and making it unfair or cheating or something

                          thanks guys

Shot tendency does improve if the player's potential is high, and I'm pretty sure George has good potential rating.

I don't see how adjusting the shot tendency would be cheating just because it adjusts how much the player will shoot during sim games, not how accurate those shots are.

It's not cheating, as the above poster says it's only changing the [B]amount of times or likelihood[B] that the player will shoot [B]during simmed games. I'd keep Paul George, because he becomes an All-Star Reserve, All-Defensive 1st Team pretty soon from this point, and if you have agood roster his potential is through the roof.

                                My 2012-2013 Cavs lineup

                                Pg: Kyrie 86 ovr
                                Sg: Landry Fields(FA) 75 ovr
                                Sf: Alonzo Gee 73 ovr
                                Pf: J.J. Hickson(FA) 76 ovr
                                C: Tristian Thompson 71 ovr

                                6th man: Brad Beal
Noteable bench players: Varejao(68 ovr), CDR(72 ovr), and Caspi(68 ovr)

I got 2 really good players in free agency, Hickson, a former Cav and a player whose game I like, Landry Fields. In the draft I traded the 9th and 12th pick for the 4th pick and picked up Bradly Beal who will come off the bench.
