Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

Just won my first ever Association championship in Game 7 against the Bulls. I gave kirk Hinrich his only ring, the ear he retires in the 2013-14 season. Austin Rivers and Brad Beal win their rings in their second year. Javale McGee missed the playoffs with a broken foot and Joel Przybilla earned a double double in Game 7 with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Austin Rivers was Finals MVP, it took me 5 different starting rotations to win the series. Games 1&2: (Pg,Sg, SF, Pf, C) Rivers, Beal, JR Smith, Gallo, Przybilla Game 3: Rivers, Hinrich, Smith, Stephen Jackson, Przybilla Game 4: Billups, Hinrich, Jackson, Harrington, Mullens Game 5&6: Billups, Rivers, Smith, Harrington, Przybilla Game 7: Rivers, Afflalo, Smith, Gallo, Przybilla

Beal and Gallo were both put on the bench to make my bench better scorers, I mixed lineups repeatedly just to see which had the most success, Afflalo was out for every playoff game except the Finals, I had him coming off the bench until Game 7 when he went off for about 23 points, 5 steals, 4 rebounds. I usually played zone defense so I think it was interesting how the defense seemed to be settled in with my zone since I played man-to-man the entire game, they were settling for outside jumpshots.

2016 Playoffs, and the two most unlikely teams: Warriors (me) and Raptors have made the Finals! We're up 3-2 and in Game 6, we're playing well. Will play once I get home from school.

      Warriors Starters:

      Stephen Curry
      Quinn Cook (Monta is injured)
      Shabazz Muhammad
      Jared Sullinger
      Anthony Davis

      Raptors Starters:

      Greivis Vasquez
      DeMar DeRozan
      Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
      Andrea Bargnani (All-Star)
Isaiah Austin (1st pick, 2014 draft)

      ===

After this season, I will trade Gerald Wallace, who has grown upset with his role as a role player for a '16 1st Rounder. That will leave me around $23M in cap space to re-sign Anthony Davis and Jared Sullinger, since they're RFAs. That will give Shabazz, a rising 20 PPG star, and Quinn Cook, our 80 OVR '13 1st Rounder chances to develop, as they're both young studs. I may even give Cook around 30 MPG off the bench!

        hi,
Our OA came to 20th april this morning i got up early so i could play without simulation, and whats up,it s 20th april AND no games in progress ,no games available,...even in schedule.
all players played all 58 games,so now playoff should start ,right?

I know thats a bug cause last yeat after all players finish regular season which means 18th april, you get playoff in that time.
Is it possible that our OA got corrputed,I cant believe whats happening really with those 2K maintenance guys, they ruined really nice game...
Also on west all 8 teams have those x,y or z next to name ,in EAST 7th and 8th dont have that like server didnt update last couple of days so it didnt recognize they qualkified for Playoff....

If someone has an answer to this pls help,we got 20+ players waiting, and it s really unbelievable that there are so many basic glitches and bugs this year....
        Thanks.

We win Game 6 of the Finals as the Warriors. Win the series 4-2 and Steph curry wins finals mVP as Ellis was hurt all series. In the off season, trade our pick t; the Bobcats and Gerald Wallace for the clippers pick, and we jump from the 9th pick to the 4th pick. Mostly to try and resign Anthony Davis as an RfA and that would allow us o give him $17M+ in the first year of his contract. We have the 4th and 34th picks.

Re: NBA 2K12: The Official Association/Online Association Thread

In year two of my Cavs association using Paul Pierce's rosters and sliders. I wanted to build around Kyrie Irving and I'm having a lot of fun so far. I only played a few games in the first season and simmed the rest. We stayed in the bottom two of the standings most of the year but somehow we caught fire at the end and won 12 of our last 13 games! Our final record was still bad enough to earn us the 6th pick in the draft. Using vtcrb's draft class btw. I ended up getting John Henson which to me was a steal for the 6th pick. He is a 74 ovr with 99 block. I made another move in the draft, trading Boobie Gibson and my 2nd rd pick to the Raptors for their 2 rd pick and their first round pick next year. Even though Boobie is a outstanding shooter, I know the Raptors will have a top 5 pick next year so it will be worth giving him up. I also picked up Kris Middleton and some shooting guard from Missouri in the 2nd round.

I had a lot of cap room in the offseason so I used it to upgrade my wing players. I was able to pick up Eric Gordon and Delonte West. I also signed Dahntay Jones so I will have a lockdown defender at small foward. I decided to resign Jamison just to have some extra depth at power foward. My new rotation for year 2:

                Irving
                Gordon/West/Denman
                Jones/Casspi/Middleton
                Thompson/Henson/Jamison
                Varejao/Erden

I have one of the best backcourts in the league with Irving and Gordon. Jones is a great defender with a 91 mid range rating. Thompson and Henson are both solid defenders at the 4. Henson just swats away everything. I like him better than Thompson, but I like his versatility so I bring him off the bench for now so he can come in at either post position. I really like this team and we are young so I expect to be a contender for a while. I just want to make the playoffs this year and hopefully be at least in the conference finals by next season.

Should I trade Monta in my Warriors Associaion? He's 31 in the 16-17 season now and coming off our NBA Finals win, Shabazz Muhammed is the real deal. I want to trade Monta for a '16 No. 2 pick which I was offered, and I want to take Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker. That would clear a TON of cap to extend Shabazz who is a flat out scorer.

Should I do this trade? Warriora trade: Monta Ellis; Suns trade: '16 1st Round Pick (2). Should I try and get Jabari or Wiggins? I also got the Boncats 4th pick which I traded for prior to the season, which I am trying to get Nerlens Noel.

Now with 10-2 in my 2nd season for OKC. KD is really strong and very exciting to use as I managed to score 55 (6-9 3pts) and 45 points in back to back games. My only two losses came from lakers (last second three by kobe) and the miami heat. KD averaging 32.2 pts, 9.8 reb and 4asst, Curry average 18pts and 8 asst.

My team now consists of four players with A+ outside shooting with Curry, KD, Rayray and Bradley Beal so its raining threes all day.

PG - S Curry, K Hinrich, A riley (PG unknown player (fill in))
SG - Rayray, Beal, SG rookie unknown player (fill in)
                    SF - KD, Sefolosha
PF - Ibaka, THompson, Jajuan Johnson
                    C - Perk, Breidrins, Aldrich, D Cook

Beal is my 6th man, so Sefolosha is starting to realize he doesnt like to be a role player

Bobcats Association in the 14-15 season.

Got Anthony Davis in the 2012 draft, traded Tyrus Thomas and a 2012 first rounder I got from the Jazz for Dwight Howard and their 2012 second rounder. Fair trade?

                        Current Lineup:
                        PG: Walker/Augustin
                        SG: Ellis (free agency)/Henderson/HardawayJr
SF: Gee (free agency)/Terrence Jones (2013 first rounder) /Elias Harris (2013 second rounder)
                        PF: Davis/White/Biyombo
C: Howard (Biyombo usually subs for him)

Warriors Association. Defending Champs. 16-17. I'm going to trade Monta Ellis, but I want some input from the OS Community here:

                              Scenario 1: Keep Monta:

Monta would be kept, as a 31 year-old, as a 2-time All-Star. He's on the books for $19M this season (16-17). That would leave us with a smaller chance to sign Anthony Davis, since we already have the No. 4 pick, which we traded with the Bobcats prior to the season. Davis would get a $17M contract, which, frankly, won't get it done for him. He's an 89 OVR and Monta has decreased from 90 OVR to a 84 OVR in the span of one off-season.

                              Scenario 2: Trade Monta:

The trade would be to trade Monta for the Mavs pick, which is No. 1 for us to get a chance to draft either Jabari Parker or Andrew Wiggins. With Shabazz Muhammad, which we traded David Lee for the 8th pick in 2013, it would make sense to shift Shabazz to the 2. That would give us $38M in cap space, which we could sign Anthony Davis to a HUGE contract ($18M/yr) which would satisfy him, being a 2x All-Star, 2x All-Defense and DPOY in a span of 4 years. Would leave us with $20M in cap to sign a superstar to play alongside him.

                              ===

I'm leaning to Scenario 2; in that case, who should I draft; Jabari Parker, who my scouts compared to Pierce/Carmelo or Andrew Wiggins, which my scouts compared to "poor man's LeBron James". I would trade Monta for the Mavs pick + a scrub to lessen our cap. Ideas on which scenario/who to draft?

I would trade Monta, try to get Parker and Wiggins then after a season or 2, get rid of the less productive one.
