Its funny I mentioned this the first couple days and I was shot down but the fanboys of 2k.

Default is a better simulation of pro basketball then sim settings. You actually have fun and dont become frustrated.

I may need to try this as well. I thing two of the biggest things that probably change with the PRO/Default vs the PRO/SIM is the look for the post player slider and the on the ball defense slider. This may address the problem people are seeing when they try to go on a fastbreak and the CPU stops it even if its a 3 on 1. My question is with the PRO/Default slider setting -
      1. Do the star players play better - does the CPU work to get them the ball to score more or less?
      2. Do the star Bigmen still get alot of touches with the PRO/Default settings?
      3. Do you see more pick and roll play by the CPU? It seems like I hardly ever see it when set to PRO/SIM setting.

Good they fixed the thread title!

Anyway, I just had a good game against Nets vs Sixers @ Sixers. Lost 97-89.

        I play on Pro/Custom:

        Shooting Sliders (User and CPU)
        Inside Shot: 45
        Close Shot: 45
        Medium: 50
        3PT: 47
        Layup: 46
        Dunk: 50
        Dunk Success: 42
        Pass Accuracy: 50
        Alleyoop: 50
        Contact Shot: 45

        Attribute
        Clutch Factor 35

I felt that the game did not play right on Pro/Simulation so I just took those and implemented them and the game plays great!

However, in two of my games, the PG on the opposing team will always be the leading score:

        Raymond Felton 29 points
        Jrue Holiday 22 points

Interesting... I'm finding the opposite. I've not had a PG go off on me other than D-Rose. I think I held Jameer to 8 points on 3-8 shooting.

I'm content with sticking to straight Pro/Default, no slider tweaks at all. Now that I've found a happy spot, I don't want to even tweak one slider for fear of messing with everything

i'm not trying to make myself look good here, but does anyone else think it's a little too easy on pro/default? even so, if it's very enjoyable like i said. thanks for the tip op.

I guess it all depends how you play, like me I play hardcore sim. I am a very big play junky, and I always look at the player's tendencies (I know they arent accurate) and take note on what shots to use. Like Lopez has a high tendency for Spin Jumpers, I will use Spin Jumpers in his ranges (Inside and Close). I will never shoot open 3s with Damion James, unless I have to, he only has a 4 tendency. I am just very technical and these sliders and style work out perfectly for me.

I have a question, with this settings and sliders you have a good passing experience?

I only lowered the 3PT Slider to 48 for both User/CPU, and increased the Foul Sliders all to 90 except the Shooting one which is at 80.

                  The game plays great!

I gotta repeat this again, PRO/DEFAULT is more SIM than Sim settings!

I am a CPU vs CPU basketball purist, I will try these sliders when I get home. sounds like I will start by bumping the foul sliders.

                    How is the clutch settings?

Few little tweaks and it will be perfect. On default/pro I can play pure no cheating one on one defense and the fast break is a pleasure now. Still need to watch out how you are passing tho. Great, great find WTF

Man I just finished a game on sim & I'm going to bed. I'm dying to try default now! My biggest complaints on sim have been: 1) Guys drifting needlessly toward the the lane leaving shooters open. I see guys just wandering away from their guy. 2) Staying in front of good guards. Getting better now but if they are good shooters & good at driving, I'm in trouble! Looking forward to tryng this tomorrow!!

I think I just went straight to the sim setting since it's what I used last yr. Looking forward to trying default.

Just tried out these settings last night in my 6ers association. 1st round of the playoffs against Celts. Gotta say I am very impressed. Everything seems much more fluid. I'm even able to penetrate with Jrue, even past Rondo after a few dribble moves. Gonna be using these settings from now on! Thank you!

EDIT: Except for Big Baby needlessly taking and making a 3pt shot from the top of the key, with a hand in his face, halfway through the shot clock....other than that it's great

Edit all Big Men playbook so that the only Post Plays they have is the Low Post Plays, not the High Post Plays. Big guys tend to do crazy dribbling and shoot from the outside when they are assigned High Post Plays.

Re: For a realistic gameplay experience, try Pro/Default Slider settings

I tried the pro/default and it's great - I think these settings let the game to "really" use the team and player tendencies / attributes which makes the game feel more realistic.

                                I made two changes:
Fatigue Rate - 70 (I recommend not going below 60)
                                Charging - 100

My only problem with the gameplay at this point is the lack of offensive fouls. I cannot draw a charging foul - I guess this is because I use the O (circle in PS3 / B in 360) button to take the charge. I saved at least 10 replays where the ball handler makes contact while I (the defense) am completely set to take the charge outside the circle - I am being hit, fall to the floor and it is a blocking foul. I've seen maybe 2-3 since I got the game - I definitely seen more in the demo!
I see people are saying they get the offensive fouls all the time - I ask you,
do you use the button or the RS?
what are the slider changes you made?
