I hate the knicks and I said out of that group of choices Lin resembles a pg more than westbrook. But to be honest you sound really bias, but you are forgetting that Lin is just now seeing real playing time, and to me he is considered a rookie imo just like Blake from last year. It's one thing to watch the game and to be in it. But westbrook again being in the league for what three or four years? And still averaging around 4 turnovers, I think this year he is averaging 4.3. Yes taking care of the ball is one of the most important task for any player. But Lin has very little NBA experience it's expected for "rookies" to have a lot of turnovers,as I said before, westbrook has played more games than lin including playoffs. Russell has the best scorer in the league Lin for the four games had Fields, Chandler and Jefferies to pass to, he had to be aggressive two totally different situations. I'm not expecting you to reply since your done but I just had to add my two cents. Also he went undrafted and cut by two teams I wouldn't really listen to scouting reports, because they sure as heck not explaining why he dropped thirty-eight on the Lakers. Steve nash dropped 48 so I guess you will have to take him off the pass first list. Every game is different and some players have different situations Lin has to score. But his assist will go up when melo returns.

How would calling him a scoring first point guard make me biased against him. And what's in bold makes my point exactly, thats what every scouting report said. He's never had a game of more assists than points, or hes even never had a game with half as many assists as points. Those true point guards have games like that nearly every night. Even if we don't look at turnovers (which we should) there is a ton of reasons why this is the case.

Im not arguing saying Jeremy Lin is not a point guard, I'm saying he is more of the scoring build that we are seeing in the NBA nowadays.

i usually follow your roster update and downloaded it if you have one. so far what i've downloaded is OS#4. i'm waiting for the OS#5 and see how you rate Lin. May be i can ask you directly now, how do you rate Lin at present? 2k gave him a rate of 69, how about you?

For the record, this is subject to change both positively or negatively. I came to the conclusion that I can properly determine what his rating should be based on his talent alone yet. I could easily see this rating going higher or lower.

Hey Bed, not sure if this is really a moot point or not, but have you considered raising his emotion rating from 25? I know it doesn't affect his play on the court but he does play with a lot of emotion out there. Just curious.

I considered it, but its the weirdest thing... I've played like four or five games with Lin using these ratings and everytime he makes an and-1 he does that fist pumping reaction.

I have no clue why, its like 2K could tell the future on this one. So I didn't raise it because they made him show emotion at 25... Honestly I am not sure the emotion rating does anything at all

I just played a couple of games online with a few of my colleagues and its amazing how there are so many people using the Knicks now. Somebody just torched one of my colleagues with 50 points with Lin online lol.

I am currently on a 4-game winning streak with the Knicks online with Lin starting at the point. People laugh when I put him in the lineup before the game saying "what the f***, are you serious?" and stuff like that.. But when the game started, they were. Getting mad because they had no answer for Lin. I've had 3 double doubles on this streak. People have quit and given up because I guess it was too much Linsanity and couldn't take the heat.

Iverson was a fine player - he just wasn't amazlin'.

Iverson's first 5 games - 107 points, 22 assists, 11 steals - 2-3 record.
Lin's first 5 games as starter - 134 points, 40 assists, 10 steals - 5-0 record.

I repeat, Iverson was a fine player, Jeremy Lin's just doing it better. I mean, career wise, you're going to win the argument, because Lin has only started 5 games.. but as of right now, Jeremy Lin's pace, is simply, amazlin'.

And that pace deserves a ratings boost in 2k12 - 80, at the very least.

Let's forget Iverson, since he's been irrelevant for years now, and list a few current PGs in the NBA and their 2k rating, that Jeremy Lin is better than.

Kimba Walker (76 overall.)
Brandon Jennings (78 overall)
Mike Conley (77 overall)
Devon Harris (73 overall)
Jason Kidd (77 overall)
Ricky Rubio (77 overall)
Steph Curry (80 overall)

There's a lot more, of course, but this is just a small list that should be considered when doing Lin's 2k rating. He should be anywhere around 77-80.

69 is still too low for a guy like Jeremy Lin. Ricky Rubio got a major boost, and Jeremy Lin, who willed his team to victory again tonight, by showing up Rubio, is on par with some of the greatest PGs in the league today.

I haven't seen a guy like Lin, since Magic Johnson came into the league.

With that, I see that Jeremy Lin, after 6 starts, is better than Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Russell Westbrook, Allen Iverson, possibly better than Magic Johnson or maybe every player since him (can't really tell), Brandon Jennings, Mike Conley, Jason Kidd, Steph Curry, Devin Harris, Ricky Rubio, and Penny Hardaway. Have fun, guys!

Yeah I agree a player that shoots 25% from 3pt should be much higher than 55.

If anything his jump shot is too high. 80? Lol....
