Agree, it should probably be around 70. His dunk rating of 45 needs a small bump also so atleast he's capable of dunking in the game, which he's able to do in real life.

in 2k i believe you can dunk with as low as a 40 dunk rating. albeit you can only dunk in the break or with a wide open lane, dont expect to postorize people in traffic. but a 45 rating can still dunk

Lin's dunk tendency in the update is at 0 so if you put it up to around 15 he will be able to dunk with his 45 dunk rating. I tested it in practice mode.

This is what I wrote about this guy in November, on the first page of this thread.

            Amazing what is happening.

This is like Mark "The Bird'' Fidrych in 1976 all over again.
It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

I remember during the summer of 2010, he went up against John Wall in Summer League and he was playing AT if not better than the level people were expecting of John Wall.

He just hasn't had the opportunity to play, given the amount of talent currently on the Warriors.
Haha good call back then SouthBeach.

Lin's 3PT should be at 68, and have a high clutch rating. He is more of an inside/close shooter always dropping in layups. Decent midrange at 74. Honestly, I would give him a 90 Inside, 91 Close, 74 Midrange, 68 3PT, 89 Layup, and a Clutch Rating because he smacked Calderon with a 3 pointer with the clock winding down. Tell me that's not pressure! Knicks came back from a 17 point deficit against the Raptors.

Do y'all think Lin deserves a "Star" franchise attribute?

Hear me out. I have already temporarily given him the label in large part because I control all 32 teams and when/if the Linsanity calms down I will give him the appropriate label to match his play.

The most important factor this is based off of is that he is selling out away teams venues (which "Star" label factors in with franchise attendance).

Just interested to hear others take on it.

star because he is selling out arenas? i have heard it all . let his on court performance dictate ratings. Insider already gave him 92 quickness rating to bring up his overall and a 80 mid even though he isnt consistant. dont let the hype influence his rating.

lin already has 8 turnovers at the half by himself in tonights game but gets 78 ball security? i thought he is one of the league leaders in turnovers getting ripped by other PG's and throwing bad passes

For all the Lin people that think he needs to be 75+ I hope you are watching him play tonight.

This is what happen when teams watch film on players and they are making Lin play to his weakness.

69/70 is good 2K did a good job with his update, I just hope they updated everybody and not just 30 players.

@sword1986 please tell me you are grading on a high school curve because Lin 3pt shouldn't be 68. He is shooting 25% from 3 before tonight's game.

He should be 85 at least 87 at most. He is playing too well for you to say he shouldn't be.

If 26 points, 5 assist and 4 steals is playing to his weakness then I would have loved to see him play at his best tonight, lol. Now he did have 9 TO so that was not good.

                                Re: Jeremy Lin

Wow....J.Lin has been awesome since bein thrown into the startin lineup you cant deny that. But some of the people on here and in the sports media world **cough ESPN cough** are takin this a bit to far to quick. He has been great but he has also turned the ball over quite a bit.I think he has the highest TO avg in the game right now.I think thatll improve but at the same time teams are gonna start bein more aware of him.He also plays in Dantonis system that will inflate PG's stats.Remember how good Raymond felton was doin last year for the Knicks before the trade?ANd we all know how Nash did he got two MVPs workin in that system.

But again you cant deny the kid can ball and belongs in the league but comparin him to Magic and so on is just CRAZY!! He's a huge breath of fresh air to the NYK that haven been missin a solid PG that can run the pick and roll, get his own and gets other involved. This lets Iman play his defensive stopper role and doesnt have to worry about running the offense.J.Lin is what they need but i dont think we can truely evaluate his talents until around April or May.If he's still doin this and the Knicks are still in the playoff hunt then im in on LIN.But for now lets stepback watch how it unfolds and not all be prisoners of the moment.

As far as his 2k rating its fine.Ive had this argument a million times with people the rating outside the name means nothin in 2k.Youve got guys like kyle Korver with a 63 rating but can bang threes better then anyone on the game. Joe Pryzbella is like a 61 but his post D is top notch. They could raise Lins 3pt rating a bit but everthing else is fine from what i see.A 70 or 71 overall is perfect for him.
