They could. While I do think Lin needs a bump, I think anything above a 65 OVR is a bit of a stretch.

it took jeff teague the playoffs and a month and a half to get a raise. Considering the hype jermey lin dont expect an update until atleast a month minimum of consistent play

This statement comes off a bit of a contradiction to me. As good as these past three games have been, you put him in the same category as Kyrie Irving with that rating. Even Rubio. I just don't understand how this could possibly make sense after 3 games.

Check out how the point guard did in both box scores vs the Wizards and compare them.
My bump put him at 71. His 56 rating is clearly so bad that I just threw it out and put the numbers where I thought they should be. If you want to put hims OFF Awareness at 85-88, that's fine, but watching him play, his court vision is really spectacular.

I'm not sure how you could justify a 80+ Offensive awareness for a PG who averages 3.5 APG this year.

He has literally had 3 games in his career with more than 6 assists and he has played in 41 games.

I hate that I have to argue against a player I really like, but this is just ridiculous man.

Why would we judge a player solely on 3 games. What about the other 38.

Ricky Rubio went from a 67 to a 78, so expect Jeremy Lin to get a huge boost next roster update.

You think it's a coincidence that the first three times he's started and played real minutes, he's put up these numbers? Playing with Iman Shumpert and Tyson Chandler as his scoring options, btw.

No matter how you slice it, this is the best set of first three career starts from a PG since Isaiah Thomas [Elias SB]. He ain't Zeke, but he's MUCH better than 2k (or anyone else) thought. What's wrong with having him at a 71?

The fact that you have to put his awareness at a 93 for that to happen.

Individual ratings are all that I care about. 56/60/71 doesn't mean much to me.

I would accept as low as 86, but if you've been watching the game, he's already an excellent facilitator. High 80's layup and pass aren't inappropriate, either. If you disagree, then don't change your ratings.

Lol you are missing the point but its cool, and if 86 is the lowest possible offensive awareness you think Jeremy Lin should have then there is no point in having this conversation, it's crazy.

I change the attributes to every single player. I just don't base it off of one or two performances. I'm going for accuracy so it only makes sense to judge a player based on their entire body of work.

Anthony Morrow dropped 42 a few nights ago. A lot of players have good individual games.

                        Its all good man.

I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. On Saturday, I thought it was just a flash in the pan thing. On Monday, I thought it was a fun ride. Now, we might have ourselves a player. You just can't discount that there are three players since 1980 to average 23/8 over their first three career starts. Isaiah Thomas, Lebron James, Jeremy Lin.

I don't want to overreact to Lin, but he's been absolutely phenomenal. And, the way he plays, it doesn't look like he's playing "fluke" basketball. With Morrow, he got red hot with a jumpshot - any scorer can drop 40 if they're stroking it with the j. But Lin is driving his way to the paint with abandon (he abused D-will the other night) and finishing inside really well. That's a really, really reliable way to score. And he's making the offense run with guys like Iman Shumpert and Tyson Chandler and making it run well.

I can't wait for STAT and Melo to come back and we'll see how far we can ride the Yellow Mamba.
