Re: Jeremy Lin
So you don't want to aren't hating and don't want to raise him too much after 3 games but you think he should be about 20 overall points higher.
This statement comes off a bit of a contradiction to me. As good as these past three games have been, you put him in the same category as Kyrie Irving with that rating. Even Rubio. I just don't understand how this could possibly make sense after 3 games.
Box score for the New York Knicks vs. Washington Wizards NBA game from February 8, 2012 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
Box score for the Chicago Bulls vs. Washington Wizards NBA game from January 11, 2012 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
Check out how the point guard did in both box scores vs the Wizards and compare them.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
He has literally had 3 games in his career with more than 6 assists and he has played in 41 games.
I hate that I have to argue against a player I really like, but this is just ridiculous man.
Why would we judge a player solely on 3 games. What about the other 38.Updates on Twitter: 2KstauffComment

Re: Jeremy Lin
Ricky Rubio went from a 67 to a 78, so expect Jeremy Lin to get a huge boost next roster update.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
I'm not sure how you could justify a 80+ Offensive awareness for a PG who averages 3.5 APG this year.

No matter how you slice it, this is the best set of first three career starts from a PG since Isaiah Thomas [Elias SB]. He ain't Zeke, but he's MUCH better than 2k (or anyone else) thought. What's wrong with having him at a 71?Last edited by BigStereotype; 02-09-2012, 10:59 PM.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
You think it's a coincidence that the first three times he's started and played real minutes, he's put up these numbers? Playing with Iman Shumpert and Tyson Chandler as his scoring options, btw.

Individual ratings are all that I care about. 56/60/71 doesn't mean much to me.Updates on Twitter: 2KstauffComment

Re: Jeremy Lin
I would accept as low as 86, but if you've been watching the game, he's already an excellent facilitator. High 80's layup and pass aren't inappropriate, either. If you disagree, then don't change your ratings.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
I change the attributes to every single player. I just don't base it off of one or two performances. I'm going for accuracy so it only makes sense to judge a player based on their entire body of work.
Anthony Morrow dropped 42 a few nights ago. A lot of players have good individual games.
Its all good man.Updates on Twitter: 2KstauffComment

Re: Jeremy Lin
Lol you are missing the point but its cool, and if 86 is the lowest possible offensive awareness you think Jeremy Lin should have then there is no point in having this conversation, it's crazy.

I don't want to overreact to Lin, but he's been absolutely phenomenal. And, the way he plays, it doesn't look like he's playing "fluke" basketball. With Morrow, he got red hot with a jumpshot - any scorer can drop 40 if they're stroking it with the j. But Lin is driving his way to the paint with abandon (he abused D-will the other night) and finishing inside really well. That's a really, really reliable way to score. And he's making the offense run with guys like Iman Shumpert and Tyson Chandler and making it run well.
I can't wait for STAT and Melo to come back and we'll see how far we can ride the Yellow Mamba.Comment

Re: Jeremy Lin
Haha, finally saw him on National TV, eh? Yeah, me too. I'm a believer, he's good. He can't sustain it though but he'll be a good player, Not great, but good. Like I said, for now, dude is playin' out of his mind right now. Kobe VS. Lin...here we go!Comment
