Unrealistic, plus, I'm not trading Pierce, I wanna trade Rondo and Green before anything.

Yeah, but I couldn't split PT between pierce, Pietrus, AND Granger.

                Re: How to rebuild Celtics?

I'd for sure keep Paul Pierce, he's a Celtic for life. I like PG's like Rondo, ball distributors are my favorite. I prefer to get offense out of the 2.

One guy I usually try to get in association's is Kenneth Faried, he's a beast. I'm sure you could give up Jeff Green and maybe pieces to get him. I like true centers as well, so I'd go out and pick up someone like Omer Asik or Marcin Gortat to play the 5.

How to rebuild the Celtics? I see two options.

                  1. Keep Rondo and Green, trade Pierce (holymotherf*cking contract), let Garnett and Allen walk at the end of the season, and make a big push for marquee free agents with the MASSIVE amount of cap space you have left.

                  2. Trade Rondo and/or Green for young talent, trade Pierce/Garnett/Allen/whoever else for picks and young talent.

Option #1 is what I'd go for, but I love Rondo. In real life the Celtics NEVER (never never nerver) get big name free agents, so the MOST realistic way to rebuild Boston would be a combination of fair trades and good drafting.

That's why I'd consider trading Pierce, cause he has a bad contract IMO.

But looking for someone who I could get with Rondo and Green.

                        Re: How to rebuild Celtics?

Trade Rondo for Tyreke Evans and Donte Greene. Evans can be your point until ray allen retires and then he can slide to the 2.

Make the David West deal that happened in the off-season

                        Evans - Bradley
                        Allen - Pietrus
                        Pierce - Green
                        KG - West
                        Krstic - Wilcox - Bass

I'd try and upgrade the C position, just a serviceable center who can crash the boards.

Maybe try Kristic and Wilcox for Ben Wallace

                        Evans - Bradley
                        Allen - Pietrus
                        Pierce - Green - Greene
                        KG - West
                        Ben Wallace - Bass

                        Pretty great team

That's not really "rebuilding". You trade the best player on a contending team for a shooting guard who is three years younger but doesn't really mesh with the surrounding roster. Also, I'm not sure what the Kings would want Rondo for... he is a great passer, but he won't really do a lot without scorers surrounding him. Trading your best young player for another young player but keeping the old dinosaurs isn't rebuilding, unless you have a plan in place to trade the old guys or let them walk and go after some free agents over the following year.

I think it makes both teams worse. Sacremento loses their top scorer and adds a pass-first point guard on a team with nobody to pass to, and Boston gains a scorer who needs the ball in his hands who won't be able to involve Allen and Pierce as well as Rondo.

All of that was real life stuff, though. If that trade looks good and seems realistic to YOU, or if you don't really care whether or not it would ever happen in real life, then go for it. That's what games are for.

the way the celts are presently constructed, they are an attacking PG away from being contenders. Evans gives them that, they lose some defense, but he gives them penetration, free-throw attempts and a better jumper. Just trading for Evans would go a long way for them, and then if you like Bradley you can slide him to the 2
