As I know, Suns already have 2 backup PGs (ugh) so they unlikely to resign Aaron, if someone will offer him more moneyComment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Feelings on this trade? 1 unhappy superstar who knows where he wants to go.
Magic get: Andrew Bynum, Kevin Martin, Luke Walton, 2012 1st round via Lakers.
Lakers get: Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, Luis Scola
Rockets get: Pau Gasol, Earl Clark, 2012 2nd round via Magic
All 3 teams are in the play off race but Howard has announced he's leaving Orlando if not traded. Kevin Martin has also not been playing well this season. The Magic get another great young center while exchanging bad contracts with LA. Houston gets a great scoring PF who's playing at an All-Star level this season. I see this helping LA and Houston short term while giving Orlando a better chance to rebuild.Comment

HOU gets: Gasol
ORL: Bynum, Martin, Budinger, Dragic, a 1st from HOU, and 2 1st from LAL
After that I'd guess that ORL will go into rebuilding mode. An interesting trade would be Jason Richardson for Eric Bledsoe and Randy Foye. Foye is an expiring contract and Bledsoe is a solid young prospect at PG. ORL also gets out of a bad contract. LAC would be getting extra depth on the wing.Last edited by volstopfan14; 02-15-2012, 01:13 PM.Tennessee Volunteers

This is just me, but I don't think Orlando is getting enough. If you want Howard in LAL, this is what I'd do
LA gets: Howard, Turkoglu
HOU gets: Gasol
ORL: Bynum, Martin, Budinger, Dragic, a 1st from HOU, and 2 1st from LAL

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Does your trade work with cap space? Dwight's leaving Orlando regardless in my association so teams aren't going to give up a lot for him when they could just wait until FA. It's better for Orlando if they can get something for him though. I don't think there's any way LA gives up 2 1st round picks with Kobe's age.
The thing is, LA has no chance at signing Howard as a FA because of cap space. They would still have Bynum and Gasol. If they want Howard they have to make a trade, and possibly overpay. In your trade Orlando got Bynum, Martin, a bad contract in Walton and 1 pick for Howard and Turkoglu. I think they could get some better players than Walton (Dragic, Budinger) on lower salaries and could probably get some picks too. Houston might even give 2 picks since they are (basically) giving Martin for Gasol.
Another note on LAL is they have 2 1st rd picks this year. They could send a 2012 pick plus a future 1st to ORL and still have 1 this year.
Orlando might even be able to get more from New Jersey. Lopez, Brooks, 18 M of expiring contracts in Okur and Humphries, plus a possible lottery pick for Howard and Turkoglu would work. (you would also have to add Jordan Farmar for cap reasons)Tennessee Volunteers

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Quick question when I finally start my 30 team association should I control all 30 teams or control one while doing all moves for everyone else?
One thing I thought of was maybe play as one team but do a game of the week so I can play as multiple teams to see if things fit and what teams need!Comment

Lakers are trying to push for 1 more title for Kobe, regardless of who would get with those 2 picks they can't replace Kobe, so they'd be better served(in their current mindset) to spend those on an established player(like Howard) than take a chance on getting another franchise player in the draft."You come at the King, you best not miss..."Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I could be wrong, but I believe that if you trade for Dwight, the team he goes to could resign him to a max deal as apposed to if he becomes a FA then Orlando is only team that can sign him to a max deal, the difference is about $30 million for Dwight. It's not a LeBron/Bosh situation where when they signed somewhere else they took less $ but it was closer to $8 million. If Dwight does not get traded and wants to leave a FA then he walks away from that extra $30M, that's a lot of money to just leave on the table and may be the reason that Otis Smith might gamble on keeping Dwight hoping that the difference in $ will change his mind. I'm gonna make a 'could you walk away from $30M' arguement because you couldn't(neither could I), but Dwight may still do, but it makes it a lot tougher choice for him.

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Correct me if i'm wrong, but if Dwight signs with his current team he can get 110M over 5 years and if he leaves he can get 80M over 4 years. If that is correct, then he is just sacrificing 2M per year to leave. He gets less money because it is a shorter deal. I'm not saying the difference is nothing, but IMO the 30M angle is overblown a bit. JMOTwitch: Goblue81188Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
what do you guys think of this trade?
OKC In:
Chris Kaman
OKC Out:
Cole Aldrich
Nazr Mohammed
Thabo Sefolosha
Min In:
Thabo Sefolosha
Min Out:
Wes Johnson
NO In:
Cole Aldrich
Wes Johnson
Nazr Mohamed
NO Out:
Chris Kaman
To me it looks like a win for everyone, OKC gives up Thabo but they have the depth to make up plus they get a great low post threat for the playoffs, MIN gets the SG they desperately need and a great defender, and NO gets some players with upside for Kaman.Comment
