what do yall think of this trade?

O.J. Mayo, Tony Allen, Wright, memphis 1st(lotto) to Pacers
Darrell Arthur, Danny Granger to Warriors
Stephenson, Ellis to Grizzlies

i might have the grizz give up a little bit more?

I don't care for this trade personally. IMO the Warriors could a lot better deal for Ellis, the Pacers are getting too much, and Memphis isn't getting enough back.

Ellis is the best player in the deal and the Warriors are giving him up for another tweener G/F which already have a few of and a PF who would be Lee's back-up(assuming he's still there). Granger and Arthur are good players but I don't see them as filling any needs for Golden State. The Pacers get a shooting guard that fills a need for them, an elite defender, a three point marksman, and a first round pick for Granger and Stephenson, that seems like too much.

i think i may value granger more than you do, but what i see is the Grizzlies get a 25 point game scorer by giving up someone they know won't resign, someone that is a good defender, a PF that is now not getting a lot of minutes, and a first rounder that is lotto protected.

my view for granger is he is a definite 3, and allows klay thompson to take the reins at 2 for the warriors, and they get solid front court depth that they don't have.

now for the pacers, they give up their 20 pt man for a starting SG combo in Mayo and Allen along with a SF backup.

do you have any tips for improving the trade? such as taking out the first, or taking out wright. and i believe i value granger more than you do

I think it would make more sense for Ellis to wind up on the Pacers. I think Mayo might be too much of a downgrade from Granger.

Hmm, do you really want the Grizzlies in this one? Maybe just do a GSW IND trade and then find another destination for Mayo. Just some ideas. I think a Granger and a lotto protected first for Ellis is a fair trade. Clears up the openings for Thompson and George.

I think it would make more sense for Ellis to wind up on the Pacers. I think Mayo might be too much of a downgrade from Granger.

Hmm, do you really want the Grizzlies in this one? Maybe just do a GSW IND trade and then find another destination for Mayo. Just some ideas. I think a Granger and a lotto protected first for Ellis is a fair trade. Clears up the openings for Thompson and George.

that makes a lot of sense, my idea was granger and ellis play completely different style, with ellis wanting the ball a lot more and would change how the pacers play

EDIT: what do yall think about a 3-way trade with the hornets, pacers, and warriors?

The point behind it is it would open a spot for each times young player with a lot of potential. Paul George could move to the 3 and Klay Thompson could start for the Warriors at the 2.

Yeah I think swapping the three would work and make sense, I just dont know about the other players added to the trade.

I dont think that Gordon, Granger, and Ellis being swapped is that bad of a trade straight up... Maybe give the Warriors the right to swap picks with the Pacers for the next two years

Yeah I think swapping the three would work and make sense, I just dont know about the other players added to the trade.

I dont think that Gordon, Granger, and Ellis being swapped is that bad of a trade straight up... Maybe give the Warriors the right to swap picks with the Pacers for the next two years

Warriors get their big man at Center in Kaman and by getting rid of Monta this allows Klay Thompson to come in and develop. With Curry, Rush, and Granger the Warriors become a great 3 point shooting team.


Pacers acquiring hometown hero Eric Gordon allows them to move over Paul George to his natural position. Ariza provides the Pacers with more bench depth (backup SG and SF) that also happens to be an excellent defender (Buh Bye Dhanty Jones). Kwame Brown is an expiring contract and with all of this value the Pacers have to give up 2 future first rounders (they actually get younger with Gordon, 24 and Ariza, 26)

Hornets get something for Gordon who wants out anyways. They get a fantastic scorer in Ellis that can come in and dominate the ball(exactly what they need) and also pick up two future first round picks to help re-build. Hopefully David Stern approves this trade lol.

Thoughts? Opinions? What do you guys think?

Only problem I see with this is, teams aren't allowed to trade consecutive first round picks. I think the 2012 would be enough since it's a strong draft, provided you're using a realistic draft like like chillad's.

Anyone who's doing a dynasty thread have any idea on why my logos aren't coming out right? These are from the OS table generator and they show up fine in the preview but when I copy and paste the HTML code to the dynasty thread they don't seem to show up and I get "x" instead of the team logo.

For some reason the images have a [URL], tag remove those and they will show up fine.
