Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
This is the most even one of your trades, but I really don't like it for Denver. Nene plays thee majority of his minutes at the 5, even if he is naturally a 4. Plus, Denver is stacked at the 4 already, even if none of them are as talented as Bosh. Basically they'd end up having to play Mozgov major minutes (big downgrade from Nene) and lose Faried and Harrington's minutes, just for Bosh. If I were Denver's GM, I'd say thanks, but no thanks. Unless of course, you threw in Joel Anthony.
BTW, I see you are targeting Bogut and saying that you want a defensive minded player (I'm assuming at C). What's wrong with Joel Anthony? He might not be worth **** offensively, but he pretty good defensive 5. And personally, I think he fits the Heat well.
As for the Nuggets, i would throw in Joel Anthony, but wouldn't that create a jam for the Nuggets?

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Thanks for the response.
1. Yes I'm entering season 2, so they have progressed a bit. I thik Utah would prefer to move Millsap, but I couldn't find a good landing spot for him. Utah seemed to be the best fit for Ellis too.
2. Your probably right but, this deal is being rumored in real life and I liked the idea. I could add a draft pick and maybe a guy like Brandon Bass if that would help?
3. I don't plan on re-signing Beasley. I think the T'Wolves basically have the same player in Derrick Williams, except Williams is better. They will have cap room from losing Williams so I can grab a SG in free agency.
4. I agreeTennessee Volunteers

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Any suggestions for Smith? I'd like to move him if possible. Doesn't have to be Boston. I just view Atlanta as being mediocre. Not good enough to win a title but not bad enough to get good draft picks. I want to either trade Smith for younger players and rebuild or trade him for veterans in an effort to win a title. That seems like the best 2 options.Tennessee Volunteers

Yeah, I just got done with my first season in my new Assoc. and I'm looking to blow up ATL. I thought about going for a big man but I doubt their owner would spend that money so I'm going to blow them up. I pondered amnestying JJ but I figured the Hawks can at least get SOMETHING for him. After I redo all the ratings and tendencies (sweet progression) I'm gonna try and move JJ and Smith in the same deal. If a team wants Smith they'll have to take on JJ's contract. In return I'm looking for expiring contracts/picks/or good young players, whatever works out best.Comment

Josh Smith, Zaza Pachulia Gasol, hawks 1st to Orlando
Bynum, '12 2nd (Lakers) to Hawks
Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu, Glen Davis to Lakers
however, i bet you have already traded dwight, so i've come up with this:
#1
Pachulia, Smith, Stackhouse to Bucks
Harris, Bogut, Sanders to Hawks
(maybe draft picks to balance out)
i'm not sure who will be where or what other contracts, but teams you can to deal to could be:
76ers
Bobcats
Cavs
Mavericks
Pistons
Rockets
you could use draft picks, but i wouldnt' trade the super high picks because i don't think its very realistic

For the beginning of year two? I'd say start out by amnestying Brand (set his salary to 0$ before year 2 starts) Then you have to think about whether or not to resign Lou. I highly doubt he'll accept a 5 mil whatever deal it is (player option). He's having a big year and will want to be payed. Maybe a sign and trade with ATL getting Smith? I'm not sure how the salaries match up and this deal is pretty risky but you could do a Smith and Joe Johnson trade to Philly for....Iggy and Hawes? (sign and trade). It's just a quick thought, you could maybe try to get a third team involved to. I'd say think bout signing and trading Hawes and Lou and also look at moving Iggy.Comment

yeah i had planned to amnesty Brand and I def agree I don't think Lou will accept the player option....I like the Hawes idea that lets them move Horford to the 4 where he's probably more natural at...I was also thinking about putting thad young in the deal somewhere he's been good off the bench for me but I think Atlanta would like a decent return on Smith
do you think there's any way to leave iggy and joe johnson out of it I really don't wanna take on JJs massive contract although I guess it would give me a 20 ppg guy which I'd be giving up in louComment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
Iggy is more than enough compensation for Smith straight up, IMO.
I honestly wouldn't want to trade Andre for Josh.Comment

Do you think there is a way that I could make a deal around Spencer Hawes and Thad Young or do you think thats not enough?Comment

Re: Bedwardsroy19 30-Team Control Association Guide/Discussion
I think that'd be a fair deal. I have no clue about if the salaries match up though.
Edit: You probably should toss in a 1st rounder (lottery protected) as well.Last edited by ballsohard; 03-04-2012, 12:29 AM.Comment
