I know I'm not a devoted basketball "video" game player, I'd rather go out and play the game for real, but I do know if a game is good or not....could it be that these reviewers also know if a game is good or not??? Heck, could a man with no arms feel what I'm saying.

Actually, I think that you would find that most reviewers are even bigger basketball game players than we are. You see, their job is to review these games and post their impressions. To get a job within the gaming industry is very difficult. You can't just be "some guy on the internet" and expect to get credibility.

I will trust the experts...Obviously, you can tell the good reviewers from the bad ones.

I sometimes can care less what popular magazines say, because you never know if the media is telling the truth or not.

I'd say first hand experience is all that is left. Try it for yourself before you judge.

how much time do reviewers have with the game before they actually make the review. one thing i noticed about most of the reviews i read, were that all the good points were because of something that was improved from 2k3, or that was added this year. alot of the real problems and missing things are not mentioned.

Same can be said for the people in here......the people who were complaining started complaining the first day they got the game(if they actually got the game)....so what makes their reviews valid.
