I believe ESPN got higher ratings for the same reason Madden did. More features. 24/7 mode KILLS 1 on 1 in Live. That, along with the much better graphics are enough to get the edge.

Bottom line PLAY THE GAMES, ALL OF THEM. Make your own opinions..Most reviewers suck.

I don't know about you, but I play basketball sims to play real 5-on-5. If I wanted to play 24/7 or 1 on 1, I'd pop in my Dr. J vs. Larry Bird. I've played both, and to me Live has better 5-on-5 gameplay. I agree 100% with you on your second point!

it's all opinions who cares what a game magazine gives as a score just like music magazines for example if i am paying you a ton of money to run ads in your magazines etc are you really going to give me horrible reviews? it's all an opinion cats on the madden pages feel it's best cats on the espn page feel it's best and everyone has reasons why valid reasons at that but it's your $50 so go with what works for you not what a magazine tells you is the best game

I mean, it's common knowledge that Live will sell on name recognition and gimmicks alone (which is basically all Live 2003 had). EA could put a fresh turd in the box, call it Live 2005, advertise the new "Turdstyle" feature, and be guaranteed a couple hundred thousand copies. Everyone knows that.
