Re: I need help with 2K12 - BAD
I'm enjoying this game more and more but there are a few things that I am beginning to become absolutely SICK TO DEATH of. In no particular order
-CPU hitting contested 3's in the final minute to win a game. It should happen sometimes but it's been happening far too much and makes me want to punch inanimate objects. Minutes ago I had managed to scrape a 5 point lead against the Nuggets only to have Rip Hamilton nail two contested 3's in the final minute to steal the game. If it wasn't 2am and my wife was asleep I would be howling with frustration.
-The CPU generating triple the amount of turnovers that I do. I am as careful as I can be with the ball and passing but they still seem to be able to stick out a hand in almost any situation and knock the ball free. Any time I attempt to steal I end up with a CPU player blowing past me for an easy score.
I'm starting to wonder if I should turn off the clutch factor as well. It seems to turn every single game into an arm wrestle with no team really getting out to a substantial lead at any stage. This doesn't feel realistic and makes the game feel scripted, in my opinion. But then again, I want my clutch players to actually be 'clutch' when I need them...Comment

Re: I need help with 2K12 - BAD
I turn off Clutch Factor, but even with that, I still feel what you're saying, sometimes I feel like I can predict when my shots are gonna go down or not. It's like the game won't let me make too many shots in a row, because it doesn't want the lead to get too out of control.
I've watched it happen. I hit a couple 3's in a row, start taking a lead, make a big stop, and then I get J.J. Redick (93 3pt rating) wide open in a hot zone with a perfect shot, and I just know it's gonna miss because I've already made too many shots consistently. Sure enough, it misses.
Then the opposite happens. If the CPU starts swelling a lead a little bit, I can almost guarantee that my shots are gonna drop, just enough to get the score back to something manageable, until the CPU can start inflating their lead again.
It's annoying, and that's with clutch factor off.Comment

Couldn't agree more man, it happens in all game modes too. Quite frustrating to feel like sometimes it's not user input so much as the game math. Hang in there.NBA 2K14 and MLB 13 The Show videos in HDPVR quality at: http://www.youtube.com/user/xRobbyH14x for My Career, My Team, and more.Comment

Re: I need help with 2K12 - BAD
No those things don't stop happening with Clutch Factor turned off.
Man, playing this game is a constant uphill battle. I am constantly playing at a disadvantage.
The only shots I have a hope of making are wide open shots from hot zones. And those aren't guaranteed.
Meanwhile, whatever defensive pressure I put on the CPU doesn't matter - they are going to make or miss the shot regardless of what I do. Tiny point guards can drive to the rack on Dwight Howard with ease, meanwhile, isomotion is an absolute waste of time for me. The CPU gets in front of me 90%+ of the time, and typically just results in my player dribbling off his leg into the other team's hands.
This game is incredibly fun and incredibly frustrating all at once.Comment

Re: I need help with 2K12 - BAD
Absolutely. I started up a game last night and had the Bucks shoot 18/21 for 42 points in the first quarter. I shut it off and went to bed.
And just to clarify, I no longer suck. I had a 14 point win the game before and am slowly dragging the Bulls towards .500 in my association. I guess sometimes the CPU
rolls all 6's and just shoots absurd percentages.Last edited by Guffers; 07-16-2012, 07:54 PM.Comment

Re: I need help with 2K12 - BAD
Has anyone ever tried putting computer clutch at 0, and leaving user at 35 or 50? It seems like cpu is already at an advantage anyway.Comment

Is there a slider for "clutch" other than the Clutch Factor setting?Comment

Re: I need help with 2K12 - BAD
Why are the Hawks impossible to beat?
I'm facing them in the 1st round of the playoffs in my Association, and it's not even fun. It is literally destroying any drive I may have to continue playing my Association beyond my first season.
At halftime right now, the shooting percentage difference is ATL 55%, ORL (me) 38%. This has been a constant throughout every game. I am in game 4.
They do not miss shots. Period. Joe Johnson especially. I cannot do anything to stop him. It doesn't matter what defender I put on him, what pressure I put on him, double teams, whatever. If he touches the ball, he will score. Period.
Kirk Heinrich, Al Horford, Jeff Teague, Andres Nocioni, they all make anything they shoot up. Kirk Heinrich drives to the hole dunking over Dwight Howard like he's Michael Jordan. The up and unders are ridiculous, and totally impossible to stop.
This isn't even fun. I thought things were getting better, because I was starting to win some games. I swept the season series with Chicago, got a big win late in the season against Atlanta. I did lose to Boston in the last game of the season, but with the way things had been going, I just chalked it up to sometimes you gotta lose. I even won game 1 of my series against the Hawks, and thought I was gonna have a shot.
But since I won game 1, I cannot hit shots. Period. Shots that I had been making throughout my entire season are bricks. Wide open, hot zone, A+ quality shots are missing. This 38% that I am looking at in game 4 right now is what it has been for 3 straight games now since I won game 1. Meanwhile, the Hawks don't miss shots. I don't even believe that 55% is accurate. I simply put do not believe that the Hawks have missed nearly half their shots. Oh, and when they do miss a shot, Al Horford is just suctioning any and every rebound, it doesn't matter if I have Dwight Howard boxing him out, Al Horford gets the rebound every time.
A sequence with Atlanta missing a shot, and me getting a defensive rebound, is an absolute rarity.
Never mind the turnovers (6 to 1 in ATL's favor at halftime), and the fact that Jameer Nelson got fouled shooting a 3 ball and only got 2 free throws...Comment

Re: I need help with 2K12 - BAD
I've tried so hard, but I can't do this anymore. I really can't.
It has literally turned into the CPU gets to play street ball, and I can't do anything.
I can't even play defense. If I even think about trying to block a shot, it's a foul, and the CPU goes to the line. Meanwhile, I might get 4 free throws a game, as the CPU constantly swats shots. I literally watched them get away with a goal tending, as I had a ball coming down, and Josh Smith just went up and stole it out of the air. No call.
This is getting Madden status in terms of the CPU cheating to win. I think it's time to call it quits for 2K.Comment

The things you do very very well on maybe downgrade a bit if there way to easy.
The things you struggle with and need some more help try boosting a little to help it be fun and relaxing.
The things the CPU is beast at so there shooting downgrade by like 5 points,
The things CPU struggle with and you think need more help try boosting a little.
I want sliders really fun and relaxing but can't find any. Your're like me when im Online,I get so mad everyone owns me because I played on PS2 Before so I always played CPU on Rookie and put sliders to 100 because I was newb and wanted to win haha.Comment
