The point of this thread isn't to compare games. You could say to make the jerseys tighter, or adjust the colors, which everyone has said. But to just compare the art, overall, between two games, is unproductive.

Besides, 2K has some really good player faces, and the faces have been consistently better than Live from the stars to the back of the bench. It's unfair to do a general sweep and discount the quality of the 2K faces.

Honestly, how can a CANCELED NBA Live game have a better cloth effect or whatever than 2K's?



I'm strictly talking about how it fits here. To me, it looks pretty realistic, not to mention their cyberfaces and skin textures look better IMO. And their colors seem to be a lot more bold compared to 2K's faded colors (take a look at any screenshot of the Clippers, instead of dark blue it's closer to a UNC blue, and there's plenty of other examples).

That's seriously the only good thing to say about NBA Live because we all know 2K is a beast at gameplay, features, etc.

Now if they can just get that art fixed!!

I agree 2k faces need work but Live doesn't look that much better. The skin texture is plasticky in a different way (though the shoulders look good in that shot and terrible in others), and that barely looks like Parker.

The strange thing is that 2K spent time redoing star faces only to make them worse (Wade, Lebron, Durant, and to an extent Westbrook), and left faces that really needed remakes alone.

EA spent a hundred hours on player faces, the 2k art team had pizza.

You've been here since 2008 and know we expect more than this in the forum.

This pouting act some of you have/do gets old.

They actually made a good amount of changes in the past from these threads. Is it to the level of detail most of the die hards would like? No - then again that's why you are the die hards. Now all of a sudden they would "never" listen to these requests?

If you're THIS bothered by it, get the PC version so you digitally dress up your players to your hearts content. The mods available by the community are spectacular. They will never, ever match what some random guy in a forum can. The most important thing - give the community the tools to do it themselves. And with the Shoe Creator they've taken another step forward in that regard this year.

And concerning the pc-argument. I got a pretty good laptop but I don't want to spend any money on a game-desktop, I don't like to sit behind a desk, I don't want to install the game, I don't want my comp to heat up, I don't want ...

An Xbox or ps3 is so easy, add the disc and done. 2K has to step up. It's not that difficult to give the jerseys the right color, add the correct court, let the players sweat, give the players the right accessoires, ...

Those little things need to be done (just) ONCE and then it's going to be really minor updates throughout the year.

Because they've been around the block unlike yourself. It's a bad precedent for this forum.

Developers come here for feedback and how you present yourself is key. This thread has been a wonderful resource the previous two years when I managed it and now it is devolving into a complaint outlet.

If that is what people are going to do I will close it.

We have wishlist threads and others of similar nature so you can post your thoughts respectively and hope it gets implemented. The same thing applies here.

This is not the place for you to post something and expect it to be in the game without question. That is what this is becoming and that's simply wrong if people feel this way. They should know better.

I have to agree with this. These forums are the 2K devs main feedback source just because of the way we ask for things and develop our arguments and reasons (and that's mainly the reason why they ran away from their own forums too).

I know, mainly because I've suffered it myself, that it's kinda frustrating when u see that those things you've been asking for are not there yet, but at least u know they listen and every year they add/correct things that have been pointed in this forums.

Moreover we don't if they don't add those things because they don't want to, or if they just simply can't due to programming issues or hardware graphic limitations.

Couldn't have said it better. Here's to hoping the shoe creator is just the START of giving us the tools to make the game look great, because they have NAILED the gameplay IMO, and I'm sure next year they'll make it even better. Which is hard to imagine right now...

All in all, the majority of the people who have posted here are really passionate about the game. That's a great thing, but when that passion becomes blinding to the point that we expect all things here to be granted by developers....we ecounter a problem.

They have a voice and a point of view too, and some of the things we want, are not necessarily what they want. In other cases, like seanbarkley said, it's a case incompatibility with the programming and/or hardware.

I'm really happy with 2K13 and stay positve that in future releases 2K will surprise us in more ways than we can imagine. For now, we will just need to be patient. If this thread can continue with constructive suggestions, great.

Again if you are serious about this, take 1 minute to read the rules of the thread in the first post and keep it friendly

My issues are really nitpicks. I'm very pleased with the presentation. How are the classic stadium sounds this year? I've only played a little but haven't noticed anything unique to those stadiums. 2k11 was superb in this respect! My other tiny issue is the fact that the the Hawks jersey circa 93 isn't accurate. The logo on the front is wrong. That was my favorite Atl jersey. That's all I've noticed so far. Great game.

This goes along with the arenas...
Why do te cheerleaders come out of the tunnel when try really sit near the baseline? I could care less but that is to easy to fix to be in correct.

We should tweet our complaints about the Player faces to @Ronnie2K & @LD2K & they might improve it for NBA 2K14
