And the demographic of the NBA notwithstanding, the league normally determines the how much of one particular genre is in the game soundtrack. This year being an obvious exception because of the agreement with Jay Z.

      All I'm saying Czar.

Y'all can disagree all you want, that's fine, it's a free country.

But see where we're coming from. I don't care about the little tiny snowflake on the Christmas jerseys, but I know there are people that really do and I don't knock them.

          wow ...

you would buy the PC version over something as meaningless as shoes ? knowing that 2K has had a history of neglecting the PC version when it comes to more important things like patches and updates ?

          wow ...

its only 20 dollars and all the mods basically will make up for it. and the console versions barley get the support they need

Not sure where people are getting their info regarding licensing. You really think Nike's gonna be like, "No, 2K, stop putting our shoes on players that wear Nikes in real life"? I can understand for players such as Brandon Jennings under contract with shoe companies not in the game (although it appears Under Armour is in 2K13), but there's no excuse for marquee players such as Ty Lawson, KG, and Andrew Bynum rocking Payless specials.

It's pure laziness. When you think about the hundreds of guys who are willing to fix the shoes, for free, I see no reason why 2K can't either fix them themselves or outsource the shoes and accessories to someone who knows what they're doing.

Until I see an actual source for these "licensing" theories, I will continue to chastise 2K for overlooking such a simple yet glaring issue.

Seriously. Who cares about shoes? They should just scrap the brands, and only have generic shoes for all the players. Personally, I get sick of seeing players looking like they do in real life. I think 2K should just get rid of the artistic improvements, and focus strictly on gameplay. I mean, I remember when Jordan wasn't in any videogames, but there was a generic player who played just like Jordan, so it didn't matter, right? Because the gameplay was fun!

While we're at it, let's get rid of the accessories and tattoos. I mean, this isn't a fashion show, after all. This is basketball, so who cares if the players don't look like their real-life counterparts?

So you can't see 2k having a budget each year for a game and not wanting to spend most of it on a part of the game only a few fanatical fans are obsessed with and can only be seen in replays, I get we all want every aspect of the game to be true to life but there has to be a list of priorities and shoes would be at the bottom of my list.

It's laughable to me how much some people care. I like white tennis shoes a lot, but I think almost all basketball shoes are flat out ugly, including almost all Jordans. People that go all out in every facet of their wardrobe can pull Jordans off, but most of the time I think they look pretty lame.

How is fixing shoes that are already in the game and assigning them to the correct players going to put a strain on their budget?

I'm totally with wanting accuracy so I get it to a point. Hell last yr, Anthony Mason on the classic Knicks was covered in tattoos & he didn't even have them in real life!!!! That bugged me like crazy so I get you shoe guys a little bit. I'm just happy I can tell players apart & the gameplay is there.

So, Art guy I want you to stop working on this rookie, or fixing this players face and body we only have 10-12 months to make a game that feels and looks brand new but we need new shoes, does that make sense to you.

Sigh. This is just one of those issues I can't understand/get behind.

When I'm playing the game....shoes are the last thing on my mind.

Is it because I could care less how a shoe looks like in real life? Regardless...this is just one of those issues I don't necessarily get behind.

I'm not condemening or talking down about your passion, just saying I don't understand it.
