Yeah menu is kind of silly with the flashes and the stuff going on. Way too much, too many things going on on the screen. It's gona be hard starring at this for a long time and it's gona get old really quick. Ah well.

Looks good so far... But as I always say... Fixing online is the main ultimate issue. The menu looks good though... It's new and that's always better than looking at recycled menu or game screens. Change is good fellas!!Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Screenshot Captures Kevin Durant's Signature Skills
I think NBA.com wanted a way to show you how it compares to per 36 of normal minutes. Since you don't have a lot of clutch minutes it is hard to compare them to normal minutes example the data says Durant played in 152 of total clutch minutes and 31 games of the total games of last year. So they take that the total data and divide by36. That is the only way to fairly compare to a normal game situationComment

I perosnally dont like the signature skills aspect of the game. It feels kind of gimicky. In addition wasnt, those icons, they have/had before, like the 3pt Icon, quickness Icon, etc a signature skill.
I have about the signature skills. Are there things that counter this. Shouldnt they have negative signature skills also. some players choke in key situations etc...Comment

Like the layout. Just something new to look at. As for the Sig Skills no point to complain about them. They are in the game regardless and we really dont know what they may contribute to. Could be good. Could be bad. If they are bad Im sure roster makers will just remove all sig skills from everyone. Problem solved.CHICAGO BULLS'91 '92 '93 '96 '97 '98Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Screenshot Captures Kevin Durant's Signature Skills
I'm with you. Looking at the screenshot, I didn't really mind the style at all. However, in motion, with the statline pulsing in and out, I'm a little displeased. I favor my menus being extremely readable. I want them to give me information, not entertain me. And with the flashing and volume bars jumping up and down, these menus appear to be distracting and easy to read only when the statistics blink.Comment

Most of these sound like they will be new some will be already known but the just were not told to us in +2K12. Example Dirk was a Dead-eye shooter in 2K12 they didn't tell us that but if you turned on shot quality you knew that contesting his shot didn't change the rating much. Finisher again this was in 2K12, some will be based off of existing ratings. I wouldn't be concerned about some of these because some of these will be or should be known from ratings.
I am only concerned about them getting the clutch/closer right because that can be interpreted wrong and overvalue players more than the stats say. Example Kyrie Irving was one of the most clutch-est guys in the NBA even more than Durant. He played like no rookie in the clutch. It shows that Cleveland had few options and he stepped up and provided I would say most of his team's scoring in the clutch. He attacked the basket but he didn't really shoot well from mid range. That clutch points/36 compared to non clutch says it all
Non clutch/36 min Clutch per/36 min
FG% 47% 54%
PTs 21.8 40.4
Another clutch guy is Joe Johnson his stats show he actually stepped up in the clutch he deserves the Clutch/closer skill
Non clutch/36 min Clutch per/36 min
FG% 45% 45%
3pt% 39% 52%
FT% 85% 91%
PTs 19.1 27.6Comment

Re: NBA 2K13 Screenshot Captures Kevin Durant's Signature Skills
Well they really aren't standards layouts. It's just wierd having all the stuff going on and flashing, especially in nba 2K where you spend a lot of times in the menu scrolling lists of players with counteless ratings everywhere. You would think they make something clear and neat. Not some bling bling flashy stuff that drives you nuts after 5 minutes.
Then again I'am not really complaining, I accept that this is how the layouts are gona be for 2K13, just voicing my opinion on it. I guess they kinda expect that kind of comments.Comment

I kind of like the lay out its something new and itsnot like you spend all day staring at it...atleast I hope not. Even though i like the signature skills I do see it as something for people who don't really know basketball. Example we all knew that kevin durant is a dead eye shooter but I thinkthe skillsvis more to help unfamiliar players utilize them to thier best abilities. Maybe Im wrong but I don't see much cheese going on with them and I look forward to those intense moments of guarding the last shot....adrenaline rush.Comment
