First and for most I am far from a kid. I watched a lot of NBA basketball in the 90's and have a understanding of how the game was played back then. I'm not a delusional nostalgic old timer that's stuck in the past, "remember when______remember_________? Man I miss those days."

Yes today's NBA is a faster pace game.

    We want Reggie in NBA2k

See, I knew someone would start up comparing apples to oranges.

That '01 Sixers team is in the game because they were an amazing run of 1 man carrying an entire team further than they possibly should've gone. It was a memorable run that is still remembered a decade later. If you asked any casual NBA fan who the Lakers beat in their 3Peat, they will mention AI's 76ers 10/10 times. Nothing wrong with being remembered for losing a NBA Finals to a historically great team in the Finals. Why else do you think they included 2 incarnations of the Jazz?

You're trying to spark up an argument but I'm going to leave it like this.

        - Allen Iverson was a better player than Reggie Miller, & his legacy is greater than that of Reggie Miller.

        - The 2001 76ers are a far more relevant team than any Pacers squad that Reggie Miller played on during his career. The 2001 76ers defeated the defending EC champs in Indiana with Reggie playing.
If we're going by one man carrying his team to the Finals then we better include the 2006-07 Cleveland Cavaliers. Would anyone care to play as them? Probabaly not.Your argument makes no sense to me.At least a classic Pacers team would be interesting to play with since there'd be more than one player worth a damn. Who really cares about Iverson? He was worse of a chucker than Kobe.

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

Good point. Completely forgot about that team and its really no different than A.I's team it was really just one good season. I really don't see how that makes a player 'elite' but another player who was always solid for 18 years is considered worse.

And for the LBJ, let's wait until his career is over to actually put him in a class. The man hasn't done nothing up until 2012, besides win MVP awards. Not knocking him but his career has only begun.

I'm glad the sixers are on board and I hope 2k puts more deserving teams as well and it would be a complete 2k and a great experience.

Good read, recent article about Reggie Miller. He's comparing them to other 2-guards from the past:
