Re: Has Reggie Miller been confirmed?

During the PAX event this weekend, I've tried to get Ronnie 2k to respond to my posts about Reggie Miller being in 2K13 but no answer.

I hope Reggie will be in the game, but we'll just have to wait.

probably won't be if not announced by now. glad to see they at least re-signed pippen and got iverson and barkley for the dream team tho.

I feel like some legends should be DLC. I definitely would pay 1200 Microsoft points for Reggie Miller, Pistol Pete, Penny Hardaway, and most definitely Drazen Petrovic. Would be cool if 2K could implement a Madden Live Moment with legends. Instead of playing full games, we could join on key moments to achieve something, for example, Tracy McGrady 13 points in 33 seconds, Reggie's 8 in 8 or Kobe buzzer beater 3's to force OT and win the game in Portland on the last game of the year in 2006/7?!?

what if they don't announce that he is in the game and while you playing and you check free agents, he is sitting there..

I would be very shocked if there was no insight on legends as I'm sure they have more to say on the Dream Team, as well as the classic teams mode. It is a mode so I'd say it gets an insight for sure man. I hope it is the next one, not gonna lie. I hope that or association is next, I have no use for online, or myplayer personally but feel all the people that do.

I guess we will get all our info in the next 4 weeks obviously regardless.

Re: Has Reggie Miller been confirmed?

Can somebody explain the fascination with including Reggie Miller in these games? Is it just because everybody else from the 90's is in there and you just want him in there so there isn't a big name missing.

                    - There are no "legendary" Pacers teams. That might anger some Pacers fan who has fond memories of the 90's with Reggie Miller, but its the truth. There were some decent teams in the 90's but the Pacers were largely irrelevant much like Alonzo Mourning & Tim Hardaway's Heat teams.

& Reggie's key moment of his career (The Choke Game) involves something that can't be re-created playing a full game. As mentioned above, he'd be best included if 2K had their own version of a Madden Live Moment.

Im buying the game with or without Reggie being included.

Yeah, their best team was the 2000 team that lost to my Lakers in the NBA finals. They were pretty good, could have easily taken the Lakers to 7 if Miller hits the 3 in Game 4 in OT. They also had a really dang good team in 98 that took the Bulls to 7 games I believe. A lot of people thought they might win that game as well from reading a couple of books on Jordan's career, but obviously MJ, Scottie and company would not let that happen.

I think you could have the Pacers go up against the 98 Bulls if you want them included... I agree with you they were not legendary teams so to speak but they went up against legends like Jordan's bulls, Kobe/Shaq's Lakers and Ewing's Knicks...so they should be included if possible IMO.

Obviously not a big deal to me either way but hey, if people want it and 2k can get it for them, good for everyone I say.

Penny, Pistol, and Petrovic were all on teams in 2k12 which means they will probably be on this game as well.. You wouldn't need a DLC for them

What kind of question is that? Sure the Pacers didn't have a classic team, but that '01 Sixers team is nowhere near classic. I'm going to have a lot of fun with Kevin Ollie, Jumaine Jones and Todd MacCulloh as teammates.

I'm buying the game with or without Reggie. Hell I'd be getting the gamd if they didnt have legends, I rarely play with them anyway, but if you're going to do it, you have to do it right. Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, players like that should be included at some point, lol.

Ewing probably said something like: "It's me or him".

You really have to ask yourself that question?

                              Because he's The Answer.

What kind of question is that? Sure the Pacers didn't have a classic team, but that '01 Sixers team is nowhere near classic. I'm going to have a lot of fun with Kevin Ollie, Jumaine Jones and Todd MacCulloh as teammates.
See, I knew someone would start up comparing apples to oranges.

That '01 Sixers team is in the game because they were an amazing run of 1 man carrying an entire team further than they possibly should've gone. It was a memorable run that is still remembered a decade later. If you asked any casual NBA fan who the Lakers beat in their 3Peat, they will mention AI's 76ers 10/10 times. Nothing wrong with being remembered for losing a NBA Finals to a historically great team in the Finals. Why else do you think they included 2 incarnations of the Jazz?

You're trying to spark up an argument but I'm going to leave it like this.

                              - Allen Iverson was a better player than Reggie Miller, & his legacy is greater than that of Reggie Miller.

                              - The 2001 76ers are a far more relevant team than any Pacers squad that Reggie Miller played on during his career. The 2001 76ers defeated the defending EC champs in Indiana with Reggie playing.
