hope not. last year he made it seem like 2k12 was the greatest thing since sliced bread. we know how that turned out.

Nope, according to Da_Czar, 2K Sports nixed em' this year.

He explained it on his show last week, that as 2k basketball has gotten bigger the demand for exclusive videos has also grown and bigger gaming companies wanted in, the fact is even though Da-Czar videos were great they were not reaching new consumers.By the way the was cool with there decision, so don't over react.

But he like that. A good man.

He can't do vids on his own?

As previously stated in the thread: he will probably do strategy sessions after the game is out. It's just that he doesn't have access to the game before launch like last year.

With all the time and help he has put in through the years, for both 2k and the community... You would think its the least they can do.

I think we can all agree that the last 2KNBA games have had a steep learning curve for those that wanted to become a better then average player. Controls, defensive strategy, which plays worked well for specific players, etc. Training camp and practice helped, but I still felt that I wasn't quite doing as well as I should have. Da_Czar's videos helped me grasp the x factor that I was searching for and pushed my game to a higher level. Think of the subject you have the hardest time with in school, sometimes learning from a different perspective can help you acquire the know-how in that particular subject.
I'm not taking anything away from the other guys, but you can tell the love and passion Da_Czar has for basketball in his videos. Their fun, very informative, and almost always worth watching multiple times to learn everything that he is teaching.
2K, Da_Czar loves your games, is a great teacher, and a fan favorite.
Give him an early copy and let him make some videos. The fan base is hungry for some Czar knowledge.

Czar gave visual evidence of the differences/improvements between 2K11 & 12 and you still have people making these ridiculous statements inferring they were lied to or something silly of that nature. I have to say I'm glad he's not doing them because there are too many in this audience that don't appreciate them or the work that goes into producing them.

I still not quite sure I understand this. if he was willing to devote the time, what possible cons could there have been on the 2k side? All they would seemingly have to provide is access. The hard parts (analysis, gameplay, ect) would all be on him.

Sorry didn't mean to come off that way in my post just a little dissappointed in 2k this year.

Vids don't seem that hard to make and post for an all forgiving audience here at OS . For all I know it might be some today(hopefully).

But when people find some way to defend 2k of any honest critisism. It gets annoying. I made a thread about the developers bball IQ not bashing and the first 5-8 posts were all for the most part and stupid jokes.

Of course they are gone as save face. But being a soldier for 2k don't you feel like they could of giving you more in some areas I loved czar vids. They could of gave him a stripped down version to do vids w/.

I doubt he'll ever voice it but I know he feels like they could of did something w/him.

It all comes down to exclusives, Da_Czar had one and bigger companies that have been supportive to 2k did not like it, it suck but those are the facts.

Fair enough. But that's what I don't get about OS. Y'all pour so much love to 2k only for them to deny access to this community. The czar's exclusivity couldn't have been spread around.

Are these exclusivity just with vids or are they far reaching to people employed by 2k.

I guess I'll just never understand about what is so hard about circulating a few informative videos throughout 2ks fan base. Seems more than do-able.

There are two problems with this.

1. You can sit there and say "honest criticism" and I've seen you make straight inflammatory accusations. There's a HUGE difference. Some people get ready to hire hitmen to take out the devs just because something isn't done the way THEY think it should be done. People cross the line quite a bit. And you would call that "honest criticism". Many people would call it straight up "bashing".

2. I find it interesting that people that want to criticize - valid or not - preach about freedom of speech, but don't give that right to others with a different view of things. It's like the right to criticize must be protected, but the right to disagree and praise is not. You can't have it both ways. If you criticize, people are 100% within their right to praise. Same goes the other way around. The times when it gets crazy is when one side goes BEYOND the level of reason.
