Next game is my first as a starter, Vs. Detroit.. and immediately I check my attributes on the player card from the box score.. everything is STILL completely messed up from what it should be.. overall should still be 66 but nope, it says 62 on the rating.. it says 66 up above of course. Not *ONE* offensive attribute is correct so I can be sure this is going to be a complete waste of my first start

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I bought the Gatorade signature skill and my guy is drastically playing better. Everything from shooting to passing has suddenly become better. I know that skill only impacts the 1st quarter, but maybe it did something else? Cause even in 2nd-3rd quarters, I'm doing great all of a sudden.
And how do we know what each thing on the shot feedback means? Cause there's like 3-4 diff sections in the shot feedback, but it doesn't explain what any section means
Second section is distance from the basket(compared to your players range).
Third is saying how contested your shot was(An open shot is green)
And the bottom one is the grade which factors in all aspects of the shot. The top 3 could be green but you could get a D+ if you try a post fade away with a guy who cant do those. The overall grade also factors in things like Cold & Hot Zones as well.Last edited by bcatch1; 10-24-2012, 12:51 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I hate the trade logic in this game so much at times. The Wizards just traded AJ Price for Steve Novak, a pretty interesting trade. Not a bad trade right?
The problem is, my Wizards team has 6 Small Forwards.
Cartier Martin
Chris Singleton
Trevor Ariza
Martell Webster
Jan Vesely
Steve Novak
Looks like I'm going to have a lot of complaining to do about small forwards in the near future...Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Any guys who play PF or C feel like they might've done something to the rebounding today? I was already grabbing boards pretty nice with my 6'6 PF, but today I was hauling them down like nobody's business. Had a 30 point, 21 rebound performance against the Celts, which got Dennis Rodman to follow me on Twitter. Rebounding felt pretty insane today.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Just had an upgrade on minutes, 40. I don't like it. I'm always exhausted on the 4th quarter. Can't make shots. Maybe I should talk to the GM and ask to increase one of my SG teammate's minutes. And our coach keeps me in the game even on blowout win. Phff.
When can I ask to trade for someone? I want to get those who have a duplicate number. I've seen (so far) M.Lee/Roy on MIN, Haywood/Carroll on CHA. I'm not sure who to ask Haywood or Carroll. They might trade Babbit, whose potential is 80. If Haywood, Leonard might not develop but since Haywood is 33y/o and 12yr/pro, maybe I'll go for him.
When my shot is blocked, it still counts as field goal attempt.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Yep, getting your shot blocked is a missed shot..
I still can't make shots in the 4th quarter .. missed easy breakaway layups in the 4th quarter last game.. my first start AND first 'player of game' award in 2k13 gave up shooting after ruining a 6 for 6 performance with 2 missed layups and a missed 3 in the 4th and just added a couple more assists. Until I figure out why all my attributes are out of wack during a game but correct on the main menu player card I'm not sure what strategy to play with.. try to score, or just keep passing the ballView Through My Lens sports photography

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Close 4th quarter games are the worst, I swear it's scripted so that the last possession is the deciding factor of the game.
I pass Durant the ball into a wide open lane so that he can put the Thunder up by 4, but instead he runs through the lane and passes it out to Ibaka for a mid-range shot, which results in a miss. Then the opponent obviously makes the shot on their end, and now we have to get a bucket with 6 seconds left to win the game.
He's done this 3 times (Durant every time specifically), all in late 4th quarter situations, but different games.
Anyone else notice their games being "pre-determined?" I know for sure that Durant would have made those easy layups in any other situation.Last edited by chrisc724; 10-24-2012, 06:03 AM.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Just started another My Career with an athletic PG. First thing I noticed, compared to my old athletic SF is that getting a good teammate grade is so much easier.
No more losing points for things I can't control. For example, as a SF (but they played me at PF) it would be like this when the guy I'm guarding posts up in the block.
- Lose points for "allowing" inside pass
- Try to block shot, gain points for good defense in contesting shot
- While I'm still in blocking shot animation, my guy grabs the rebound
- Lose points for allowing offensive rebound
- Lose points for allowing man to score
This would eat away at my teammate grade all the time. Now as a PG, I don't lose points for any of this nonsense. My NBA 2K Live Streams on YouTube - Diary of a Made ManComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Man I don't know if I just suck at this game or what but through 30 games with my Steve Nash cloned PG I am averaging about 3ppg/3rpg/7apg. I was drafted by the Raptors which stunk because I was placed right behind Lowry and sometimes even Calderon. They mostly play me at SG which makes little sense seeing as how I can't score lol. I am trying to get better but good Lord is it tough sleddin' right now, I am just so awful with my shooting, anything outside of a layup is pretty much a guaranteed miss. It's hard to really improve my guy too, the amount of credits I earn each game compared to the amount of credits skills and stat increases cost is really out of balance. I know they want us to buy credits with real money but I mean c'mon!Comment
