Question for people who have a lot of experience with the GM sit-downs:

When you meet with the GM and select the "I'm not getting along with a particular player" option.. .. .. and the GM responds with "this isn't something we think can be resolved with a transaction" type answer, also prefacing it with something like "you're still new to this league and have a lot to learn, but a lot to offer this team".. .. .. and then he tells you to really think about his next question.. .. .. and then asks basically for an ultimatum.. .. ..

At this point you can choose

"Trade him or me" or
"I'll be patient for now" type answer

I've gotten this response several times and each times I've chickened out lol. It's just cuz I'm happy with the team, and I can really see things being awesome thru the years with Bynum, Thad Young etc, and I'm scared of being traded into a much worse situation. I'm not even suggesting to trade Holiday, but I want to start either alongside him at the 2, or have them trade him and have me start with Turner. Right now I keep gaining then losing minutes, even dropping to 7th man after monster performances.

If I select the "it's either him or me" what is most likely to happen? Because from the way he frames the question, it's impossible to tell.

Can anyone speak to the effectiveness of the Defensive Anchor sig skill? Is it good to have as a PG? I have lvl 2 of this, which gives my teammates a 6pt boost in defensive ratings when I'm on the floor.

It gets so frustrating sometimes how poorly my teammates defend the paint, jumpshots and especially in transition.

I'm planning to purchase lvl 3 of Defensive Anchor. Active Hands seems good to look at too. I'm pretty content with my offensive ability, so I'm looking to significantly strengthen our defense? Any suggestions?

i had the defensive anchor sig for my pg on the suns. what's CRAZY is, i stopped using it and went to lockdown defender cause i got cooked by d rose one game, and MY TEAMMATES PLAYED BETTER DEFENSE!

try the lockdown defender and see if it improves your team defense like it did mine

IMO, I didnt see a big difference with Pick Pocket. Mainly because it is mainly for stripping WHILE they are moving dribbling/iso moves. There is only a slight bonus for stripping while stand-dribble.

Pick pocket is very powerful, I average 7 steal per game because of this. Once you level it up all the way, call for a double team and if the ball handlers turns to your side the steal button is money.

I have an athletic power forward with the raptors.
I average 33.1 ppg, 10.9 rpg, 3.2 apg, 0.8 spg, 1.5 bpg, 2.5 tpg

When the patch comes out I might either make a Face up Power Foward like Dirk or make an a athletic point guard like everyone else

Same thing happened with my PG on the Warriors. I didn't want to be traded, but just wanted to start. I finally became a starter after 17 games.

When I selected it's either him or me, he just gave some brush off answer about being a professional. They don't do anything.

What I did to start was keep having good games and make sure you select answers that boost your teammate graded during the press conferences. I noticed, even if you have a monster game, if you say arrogant stuff (i.e. I'm GOAT, my teammates suck!) during the press conferences, the coach might sometimes lower your minutes for this.

Anyway, any time your minutes are reduced, a new topic become available in the GM sit down, so go there and complain about your playing time. This should increase them back up. Keep doing this every time they drop, till you eventually become a starter.

Has anybody used 500 VC/SP to boost their fan support/league popularity?

I finally became a starter after 17 games, and I want to make the all-star game. My stats are fine (16ppg, 9apg) and now that I'm starting, they'll be going up.

I'm not even on the all-star ballot for PG. Will spending points on increasing my fan support (i.e. NBA Cares, donations, etc.) increase my chance of making the all-star balloting as a rookie?

If so, how big is the increase in fan support?

3% of your local fan support I think. The way I got in the All-Star game is playing well, I just keep dropping Kobe-like stats every game and I got in the All-Star game.

Yeah I always try and select the "humble" answer to the reporters, not that it always results in a humble answer lol.

In the second season of my career, after a rookie season of avg'ing 18ppg 7apg 2rpg & 1spg.. .. ..Playoff avg's 21ppg 6apg 2.5rpg 1.5spg.. .. .. won the championship in 7 vs OKC.. .. .. avg teammate grade of B+.. .. .. and I look in the rotation screen to see I'm getting 18 mins/gm.

There's something here that's not right the way the coach will constantly tell you it's time for a bigger role, only to reduce your minutes, and too many instances of him liking your play but then taking you out for extended periods of games.

Seems like something that needs to be addressed in a patch. It's just all over the place.

I finally got traded. But got traded to the Toronto Raptors. I didn't even have them down for one of my 3 destinations. This sucks.
