Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread

I forgot to mention that I screwed up big time(or maybe not) when I started this PG. I made a team with legends to play an association with, and I used CHA, do they're in MyCareer mode, killing teams(they're average point differential is 21.4 through their 1st 46 games), and by the time I noticed I had already used a couple thousand VC on my guy, so I just said, "oh well". Anyways, on their team they have Magic, Jordan, Bird, Malone, Ewing, David Robinson, Rodman, Pippen, Dominique Wilkins, Drexler, Mutombo, and Mullin.

Sidenote, a lot of them have bad morale and ante rumored to want to be traded, but only Rodman has been traded so far, and it was for Pau Gasol.

Their record is 38-8. I'm surprised, but happy everytime they lose, I'm hoping I can eventually get their #1 seed eventually with my NYK.

I just started the playoffs and I'm matched up against Golden State. Seems to me that the cheese factor has been ratcheted up. I guess Brandon Rush and Harrison Barnes are Kobe and Lebron. Wow. And on those rare occasions when they do miss, David Lee and Bogut will be there to get the offensive rebound. I'm leading the series 2-1 but I have to fight tooth and nail to pull out wins against these guys. I'm a little worried about the next rounds if I run into OKC, San Antonio or the Lakers. I just know Durant/Westbrook, Kobe/Dwight, or Parker/Ginobli would torch us lol

After 3rd mycareer. If you ever see OKC in playoffs. You better bring your A++++ game. Durant and west brook are unstoppable. Will hit ever clutch shot too. But I like it. Makes me step my game up. Take what they give me.

So for my 4th year I decided to take my talents to south beach to see how overpowered it could be. Apparently not that overpowered.
Roster:

PG Quvenzhané Wallace (me)
SG Dwane Wade
SF Paul Pierce
PF Lebron James
C Chris Bosh
6th Manu Ginobili

This team doesnt get overpowered until the last 5 minutes because 4 of the starters have Closer. And Ginobili has Closer of the bench.
Pierce and Ginobili are 38 years old now so they are both 75 overall now. The generated rookies are terrible and are the reason most of our games end so close.

Finally knocked off the Warriors in the 1st round but they absolutely OWNED us on the boards. I know Bogut, David Lee and Carl Landry are good rebounders but come on now. Aldridge and JJ Hickson should not have been dominated on the boards like that. Up next: Lakers. I'm expecting more of the same with Dwight and Pau, plus about 40 ppg from Kobe lol

My Lakers team tried to make another trade, I didn't save this one, but it would have been interesting that's for sure.

The draft next year for 2k14 as of today if everyone holds their spot in the lottery. What team would you like to get drafted by? Also I put in the 15th and 16th pick.

3. Suns
4. Cavaliers
5. Hornets
6. Pistons
7. Kings
8. Wizards
9. Timberwolves
10. Raptors
11. 76ers
12. Trailblazers
13. Mavericks
14. Jazz or Suns ( Suns have the Lakers pick)

16. Celtics

My player is a SF and this year I was picked 10th. Dont want to be picked 10th again though because Raptors have Rudy Gay. I would like to be picked by the Timberwolves. They could use a SF and I could play along with Rubio and Love. 76ers would be nice to play with Bynum and Holiday. Assuming Bynum stays. Trailblazers would be nice with Lillard and Aldridge but they have Batum at SF. Jazz would be a nice young team to play with. Make a young core with Favors and Kanter. Also for me the Bucks may be fun. Monta Ellis and Jennings on the fast break. And Sanders has become a good defensive center. If I get drafted higher Pistons, Wizards, and Kings would be nice. Drummond and Monroe. Wall and Beal. Cousins and Evans. And those 3 teams also need a SF.

So what about you guys? What teams are you hoping to get picked by?

I wouldnt mind creating an athletic PG and going to Utah. I would pick and roll other teams to death with Derrick Favors. Would be great if they could re-sign Millsap too.

I usually play as a PG/SG, so Pistons, Bucks(if Jennings/Ellis leaves), Timberwolves, Mavericks(if they don't upgrade at PG over the offseason), Jazz, Raptors, 76ers. And if I tank in the showcase then either the Knicks, Heat or Lakers.

Well I started to make a new career Pg and I ended with 34 pts, 8 Rebs, 12 ast. Drafted 1 by the hornets.

SG, but play PG or SF from time to time if needed. I really enjoy PG, but at 6'8, 250, I have trouble guarding the smaller players.

Does anyone know why I'm missing so many alley oop dunks? If I try enough, I'll miss at least 2 a game even though I have 99 hands, dunk, and vertical. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I'm tired but one time on 3 straight possessions I missed the first 2 alley oops but made the 3rd one which makes no sense.

7ft center on the pistons. pretty fun but i demanded a trade after i got benched 20 games in. screw that.. detroits GM has his head so far up his own ***, it's ridiculous..

a few gripes

1. only dunks 5-10% of the time under basket. (dunks at 50+ overall /standing dunk at 70+ overall)
2. always bumped on my shot, rarely getting fouls
3. sometimes play as SG, wtf.. makes no sense having a slow player at 2
4. once finished a game + press conference and LOST connection right after, forcing me to replay the same game twice, only earning VC for the 1st game.
5. if a PG cuts near me, myplayer goes into a minor stumble animation, freeing up the guy i was guarding for an easy 2.

still, pretty fun so far..

Momentum can also cause problems. Sometimes, if momentum is against me, my PG acts like one of the three stooges throwing up a watermelon instead of the normal attempt.
