Thanks for the tip though @sleepyshotta. If I was a Back to Basket PF, I'd probably do what you had suggested, but sadly I'm only able to score off of offensive rebounds and dunking the ball back in.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Figured this was the right place for a MyCareer question, TL;DR at the bottom
So, I just picked up the game on PC about a week ago and wondering if someone can help me out with my MyCareer. It's been over ten years since I've played a basketball game and it shows, so I decided I was going to tinker with a test-pilot MyCareer(this is all offline btw) to see how I want to set it up so I could ease myself into it and slowly ratchet the difficulty up as I get better. So, to start out, I set the difficulty to Rookie and set the sliders for User Settings to max for the offensive stuff(using cheatengine). Little did I know that the User Settings affect your whole time and every game became a blowout in my team's favor, even if my player did nothing. That's not fun.
So I started tweaking the difficulty setting between Pro and All-star and while the teams came more in line with each other, my player(or rather, me) started playing like garbage again. So I tinkered with my specific player's attributes, maxed out almost everything...and it doesn't seem to change much, to be honest. It didn't even make the blowouts more blowout-y, either way.
TL;DR: Any tips on making it so CPU teammates and opponents are roughly on par with each other/realistically where they should be relative to each other while making it easier for my specific player?Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I apologize for the double post, but there doesn't seem to be an edit button for my post, just quote, multi-quote, and quick reply.
Anyway, in the post above, I meant to say "Little did I know that the User Settings affect your whole team...", not "time".Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Started a new career with the all star dlc. Made myself a 6'2 athletic pg drafted 5th by the Kings. In my first game i had 12 pts(6/6) 3 rebounds and 4 assists. I really like playing with this team even though we have to trade some of our guards. Half of our rotation are either pg or sg and i can only see problems with that.Comment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Restarted my career with SG James May. He is 6'8, 248 and was drafted by the Detroit Pistons. We started off really well, but now are 17-30. James has been doing well, and can hit a few open shots and layups. He can really dunk, so that makes the offense tolerable. I asked the GM to bring in Harrison Barnes, and we did, so our lineup looks like this:
PG - Brandon Knight
SG - James May
SF - Harrison Barnes
PF - Jason Maxiell
C - Greg Monroe.EPL - Arsenal
MLB - Seattle Mariners
NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers
NFL - Philadelphia Eagles
MLS - Seattle Sounders

I predict that I will lead the league in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. If not this(my rookie) season, then the next. I mean at this size(6'10") at the SF position, I can do it all. DET is lucky to have me.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
How can you ask your GM to bring someone in? Sorry not really familiar with Detroit Pistons, is Barnes part of the team or he came in to your team by trade?Comment
