Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Drive to the hoop, hop step and then do a layup/dunk.
Or drive to the hoop, pump fake to get your man in the air, and then do a layup/dunk. You should draw contact and get a foul and possible And 1.
Is it just me but whether it's my team or the opposing team, the cpu does not ever miss floaters. I've played an entire season (every game, no simming or key gaming) and I can only remember once that the cpu has missed a floater. It seems there's a glitch where they almost always go in.My NBA 2K Live Streams on YouTube - Diary of a Made ManComment

Are turnovers the reason for being benched and returned to sixth man? I only stared 2 games and in those i went 26 7 16, 7 tos and 46 8 10 and 5 tos. That last game was my career high in points. In the press conference they asked me how it feels to be a starter too...wtf.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
I won the starting job roughly 10 games into the season and have not given it up since (50 games played). I'm not 100% sure why people have been benched or seen their mins drop but I have not had this issue at all.
A few thoughts: You may have scored 30 pts but on how many shots? How did you play defensively? Maybe you set a career record in assists but how many TO's? How often do you call for passes?
My numbers are OK (14 ppg, 7 ast, 4rbs, 1 stl) but odds are I won't win ROY. That said, I think there might be a misconception of what a "good" game is. All you have to do is play sound, team basketball and you should not really have any problems. I think the thing that has helped me most is limited TO's (1.5 pg) and shooting a HIGH percentage (50% for SG/PG). Remember, you are a rookie (maybe 2nd year but still applies..), odds are you aren't the teams #1, #2 or even possibly #3 scoring option. I play for the Celtics and have accepted this and really thrived since. Basically, it is accepting your role on the team and doing the best you possibly can within that role.
Play within the offense, shoot when you are open and pass when you are not. If you are having a cold shooting game, focus on other areas. I would not recommend calling for passes more than 3-4 times a game.
Lastly, I am not directing this message at any one person who posted their issues regarding this matter. I'm just trying to shed some light on how I play the game and results I've had.Dare I say... En FuegoComment

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread
Made the dunk contest with B.Griffin, J.Cunningham, and J.Evans.
Blake crushed us with 212 points, he mailed in his 3rd dunk after his 1st and 2nd scored 75, 78.
I was able to take part in 3 events and had a blast with the ASW.Comment
