Yeah it's more realistic FG % and you won't be blowing a team out by 20 every time.

Well yes it is more realistic but don't think the cpu won't go on a run making some cheese shots.

It happens in both, when the game decides it time to make a run you can tell. Sim or otherwise.

This is why I'd prefer sliders. OAN, I love playing with my PG. I played the first five games and key gamed since. Finally starting for the injured Greivis Vasquez. We've been struggling with injuries to key players. Gordon and Davis have both missed significant time. Guess that adds to the realism lol. We currently have the worst record in the league.

I'm struggling offensively in my first start. Shooting just 18% and I have 4 turnovers. Usually I'd be frustrated as hell with a performance like this but everything feels legit in this particular game. Defensively, the team is playing great. It looks like its gonna be one of those grinders that everyone loves to have in 2K games.

Re: Official NBA 2K13 MyCareer thread

Finally got the "I'm tired of losing" option for my Center MyCAREER (he plays for the Celtics), even though we are only 16-17. I want to trade for some players who can make the Celtics better, but I'm not sure who to ask for. Any suggestions on who to trade for?

            Here's the roster:
            Rajon Rondo
            Avery Bradley
            Paul Pierce
            Kevin Garnett(injured)
            Me (as Center)
            Jason Terry
            Devin Harris
            Courtney Lee
            Brandon Bass
            Jared Sullinger
            Leandro Barbosa
            Kris Joseph
            Fab Melo
            Jason Collins

Lmao yes u read right. I did however, end the game shooting 43%. Horrible I know lol but those games happen IRL every once in a while. It was actually a good game though. Eric Gordon couldn't miss. He shot 90% and had 29 points. I love playing for the Hornets considering I'm from the area IRL.

I would look to maybe add some help at the 2. Bradley is a stud on defense but lacks on offense. What is Terry playing like? Also, if you all traded Jeff Green to get Devin Harris, I'd look for help on the wing. Maybe someone who can spread the floor (Dorell Wright, Jared Dudley, Vince Carter)...they'd all presumably come cheap. Basically, with you being a big, it'd probably be in your best interest to suggest a wing who specializes from shooting the long ball. But that's just my opinion...

Jason Terry has been playing all right I guess. He's been shooting the ball decently and will pass the ball to me sometimes when I run the PnR with him.

Should I ask for starters or bench players? I'm ok with the lineup, but Paul Pierce isn't scoring a lot lately (then again, he doesn't get the ball often. When he does he doesn't want to run the PnR with me). I definitely want to keep KG since he shoots a lot mid-ranges and make them.

I wouldnt recommend asking for anyone who's rated 75+ or has extremely high upside however you might get lucky . I play for the Raptors with my center and I requested Rudy Gay, Michael Beasley, Danny Granger, Paul George, and Nicolas Batum. I immediately regretted it because I feared they'd trade DeRozan or a draft pick for any of those guys. Luckily, I got Rudy Gay for Landry Fields and Jonas Valanciunas. Do you have anyone who you think you'd like to play with?

I maxed my PF's Quickness to 80, Did the Dennis Rodman Camp, and did the Jordan camp. I did this by selling back some My Team players since I dont play My Team at all. I did the Jordan Camp because I know it boosts SIT and Dunk. Hopefully maxing Quickness will help me get across the court quicker because there is some delays. After, I do that I will start boost Post Fade or get Strength to 85(82). I now am tied the highest OVR on team with Davis with 84 OVR. I am at the point now where I can continue boosting ratings I stopped since I have the all-around game I wanted. But, I am considering boosting Speed. But, before that I want to boost Low Post D and On-Ball D

My next key game is against LAL. I have to change up the way I play against Howard because he ALWAYS go off on me when I play against him. It isnt that he dominates me in the post, it is that he gets ALOT of easy buckets and alley oops/dunks. I usually do a good job in the post. If I am getting dominated, I will try to switch with Anthony Davis.

I don't really have anyone I like to play with lol. I guess I can use a better SG than Bradley, but I'm afraid Rondo or Pierce or Garnett might get traded. I don't mind trading Pierce for a better SF, but I would hate to see him go, considering that he's a Celtic for so many years.
I think I won't ask for any trades atm. I made a backup file and simmed a few games and we were winning a few, so I guess things are ok for now.

                              Definitely agree with this.

Unless you are willing to give up someone good or a 1st rder, you have to be cautious with trade suggestions. I did this in my PG career. I dont regret it now in my PG career, but I did when I asked for it(especially when we lost Paul George).

I think I can do it in my PF career. I doubt they are going to trade Anthony Davis or Rivers(want them to). Eric Gordon is consistently getting injured, so when they ask for the ASW trade suggestion, he will still be injured. The main person I dont want to lose is Wilson Chandler. He been a consistent 15pt and 5 reb guy daily. After next game will be the leading scorer on the team since Eric Gordon has been injured.

The game against ORL is like a week before they ask for trade suggestions. I like that so I know if I want to ask for the rookie PG. I want us to trade away the rookie Center and Austin Rivers for the PG. But, I want to see how the PGs plays. Austin Rivers took the most shots for us this year with 523. The Rookie PG took 836 shots. Thats more than Me and Austin Davis combined(729 shots), more than Wilson Chandler and Davis Combined(830). I know it is simulated shots, but that is way too many shots. But, there is differences in teams. All of our starters average over 14pts a game. He is the only one over 13pts(21.5). After that game, I will decide whether I want to ask the GM to trade for him or wait for another rookie PG next year. But if I do wait for another PG next year, I will ask for Eric Maynor until then.

Just posted about it above this post.

I havent played since last night. I am about 3-4 key games(depending if any games get skipped over). The only chance I get to play ORL is if I play the Kings key game. 1st key game against them got skipped over, the last one didnt. The last ORL game is after a Kings game. I want to see if I should ask for him. He seems like he takes a ton of shots to have below avg shots. But, he does have 86 Pass, 87 Off AWR, and high POT. So, I might be willing to ask for that trade.

But, I dont want another Rivers on the team. That would defeat the purpose. The rookie doesnt have any sig skills, but there is a high chance he could get Dimer and Floor General in the future. He also avgs 1.9 steals a game. But, he shoots 39 FG% and 32 3pt%. That is kind of scaring me. He future is great, but I hope that he doesnt shoot over 17 shots when we face him.

But, I am not sure how he will play with Gordon(when he gets healthy). I say that because Gordon and Rivers didnt play well together. We have played well with Gordon out. We are 3-1 in our last 4 key game without Gordon. I am not sure if Gordon and Demunyck(rookie PG) is shooting over 15 shots a game(to go along with me and Chandler) is going to fare. Especially, if we dont trade away Rivers. He is 1st in league in Usage% and 5th in Possessions in Metric Stats. That means he is sorting cheesing. He is also 85th in League in Pure Point Ratio. But, I will let his on-the-court play do the the talking before I write him off.
